“strong encryption”
Pros
Whether I'm buying something online or adding a payment option for my business, PayPal is very clear and simple to use. The layout is simple and checking past activity on the transactions page is quick and convenient. It also uses strong encryption which gives users a high level of protection for both their accounts and personal data. Compared with other payment methods, PayPal feels more secure. On top of that the mobile app is just as practical as the desktop version so I can shop, send money and withdraw funds anytime and from anywhere.
Cons
One downside is that although PayPal is free for personal use, it does charge fees for business transactions. In other words, if you're earning money through PayPal, the company takes a share as well. Also some banks charge an extra transfer fee when moving money from your PayPal balance to a bank account.

“easy bank linking”
Pros
It's simple to work with, links to a personal bank account without much hassle and makes sending or receiving payments from different parts of the world really easy.
Cons
It works reliably through FNB in South Africa although some transactions can take a bit longer to go through.

“No tied-up funds”
Pros
Having used PayPal for both personal and business transactions, I've really appreciated how simple it is to send payments to customers and accept payments as a business owner. One thing I value a lot is that PayPal doesn't tie up your funds the way some other platforms do which makes the whole experience much more pleasant. On the business side, the customizable invoices are a big plus and add a much more professional touch.
Cons
My only real complaint is that it still can't accept payments from certain countries I'd like to work with. Because of that, I still need to rely on other platforms for some international payments.

“convenient card linking”
Pros
PayPal makes online payments feel much safer and more convenient since customers don't have to depend directly on their bank every time. You can also link both your debit and credit cards to the account which really helps whenever your PayPal balance runs low. That flexibility is a big reason I see PayPal as one of the most reliable and effective platforms for sending and receiving money virtually.
Cons
Getting a business loan through PayPal is not always the most simple option. On top of that some of our clients who pay through PayPal regularly mention how hard it is to get proper customer support and that's something that really needs attention because support matters a lot with payment services.

“Bonus cashback”
Pros
Keeping several cards in one account is really convenient since I can switch between them whenever I want. PayPal also occasionally has its own special offers with extra cashback or discounts and if the card I charge already has a promotion, that becomes an added benefit too. On top of that it has felt very safe and reliable to use. I've been using it for more than two years and haven't run into any issues. It's also accepted on most websites which saves me from entering card details every time. In some cases, biometric verification is available which makes checkout even more convenient. Another big plus is the fraud protection since it helps reverse charges that were accidental or unauthorized.
Cons
One thing I'd still want to see is broader coverage across even more websites for payments. It would also be much better if choosing PayPal at checkout could automatically redirect me to the app so I could confirm with biometrics there instead of having to log in manually.

“excellent customer support”
Pros
Being able to receive money quickly and pay for purchases wherever I am has been really convenient and hassle-free. PayPal is user-friendly and the customer support has been excellent whenever I've needed help. I also feel very secure using my bank card for payments through the platform so I don't have to worry about potential losses.
Cons
The downside is that PayPal still feels somewhat limited because many of my suppliers and online stores don't accept it as a payment method. On top of that the process of trying to get a PayPal card has been quite stressful.

“Quick bank access”
Pros
I was able to connect it to my personal bank account without any trouble which means I can access my funds whenever I need to.
Cons
It's important to pay attention to the processing timelines for funds to show up and I always make a point to double-check that the money has actually been deposited into my PayPal account.

“global work opportunities”
Pros
One of the best things about PayPal is how widely it's accepted by companies across the world. It lets me take on work outside my country and participate in different earning opportunities, like surveys, without stressing about how I'll actually get paid. The money I receive is also useful right away since I can spend it on everyday things like food, shopping, Uber and more. It has worked really well for me for both personal and business purposes.
Cons
The only real downside I've noticed is that in South Africa it only links directly with one bank which is FNB. If you don't bank with FNB, you may need to open an account with them or deal with a long wait when transferring money to a different local bank account.

“uncluttered layout”
Pros
The app's layout is simple and uncluttered, without a bunch of tabs getting in the way. Sending and receiving payments is very simple which makes the whole process convenient to use.
Cons
Connecting my debit card was simple enough but the setup took about 5 business days to finish. I also noticed an unauthorized link between PayPal and my Facebook account that I had never created though thankfully no money was transferred from my account.

“Honest transparent platform”
Pros
What kept me using this application is the sense of honesty and transparency it gives. That reliability really mattered to me and made me value it even more.
Cons
One downside is that the application still isn't available in some countries, such as Belarus which limits who can actually use it.

“safely encrypted data”
Pros
I've been using it for my personal account and haven't run into any problems at all. One thing I really appreciate is the instant notification every time a transaction happens on the account. It's also reassuring that PayPal treats user data seriously and encrypts information with strong security. On top of that you can withdraw funds whenever you want without paying extra fees.
Cons
The only downside is that PayPal still isn't available in some countries.

“Multi-currency payments”
Pros
Getting paid through PayPal is much more convenient especially because it supports multiple currencies. That lets me accept payments from clients in different countries which is really important for the kind of business I run.
Cons
Connecting it to my bank was a bit challenging since my local bank doesn't allow the integration. Aside from that, it works reliably alongside other payment gateways.

Cons

“invoicing saves time”
Pros
Being able to securely send payments and handle invoices for both customers and suppliers makes this software incredibly valuable. Since so many people already use PayPal, having it is pretty much essential for my work. Thankfully it has lived up to expectations and takes a lot of the manual effort out of my day-to-day tasks.
Cons
The only downside for me is that the fees are a little higher than what some competing services charge.

“Great for ebay sellers”
Pros
PayPal Business and Premier accounts come with a lot of useful tools that integrate really well with eBay so selling on such a huge marketplace becomes much more manageable. The editing and customization features are also quite smart and practical. On top of that PayPal feels like one of the safest ways to shop online because I do not have to expose all my financial details every time I make a purchase. Those are definitely some of the biggest advantages of using PayPal.
Cons
Trying to sort things out on the site can be frustrating especially if I need to cancel a subscription through PayPal. If there is a dispute with someone and PayPal is handling the payment, they usually step into the mediation process and that can drag on for quite a while. Unfortunately, when payment problems come up, PayPal's customer support is not very strong. Phone contact information is hard to find on the site and email replies often feel automated instead of offering real help. The verification process also takes too long. When linking a bank account, PayPal sends two small deposits and then asks me to report the amounts back which makes verifying a personal account feel unnecessarily irritating.

“no learning curve”
Pros
We've relied on PayPal for a long time and there are a few clear reasons why. It has a strong, established reputation and the platform feels safe and secure for processing payments. As a non-profit religious organization we also need tools that volunteers can learn quickly and use confidently on the administrative side. That's been a big advantage with PayPal because it's user-friendly and doesn't come with a steep learning curve.
Cons
The payment processing space has become much more crowded especially for churches and non-profits. Compared with some newer platforms this may not provide as many built-in integrations for church websites or member management systems. There are simply more specialized options available now than there used to be.

“Rapid invoicing”
Pros
Handling payments for services especially from clients who are far away, is much quicker with PayPal. Transactions go through instantly and being able to request a specific amount makes it even more convenient. The platform also lets you create invoices for payment requests, track products and receive payment promptly for goods or services provided.
Cons
One downside is that every transaction gets billed or taxed individually. It would be better if that could be consolidated and handled weekly or monthly instead so it does not keep affecting the actual net amount a provider receives each time.
