Collaborative culture with global impact

Pros

Working here gave me a chance to be part of a collaborative culture and I really valued contributing to products that reach millions of users around the world.

Cons

There were times when decisions took longer than expected because of the many approval layers and that sometimes slowed down delivery.

Easy to share payment details

Pros

Everything feels user-friendly and simple to use. Sending and receiving money happens quickly and sharing payment details with clients is simple when I need to get paid.

Cons

Updating the details tied to an account can be frustrating. For instance, if your phone number changes and you no longer have access to the old one, it is not a simple process.

great customer care

Pros

Getting started with it was simple and the customer support has been excellent. I'm always able to handle my data management needs and the overall value is outstanding.

Cons

There are a few bugs and occasional glitches that could be improved but they're minor and not really anything serious to worry about.

Fast cross-border payments

Pros

One of the biggest reasons I prefer it is how well it handles international payments. I can receive money from companies in other countries without much effort which is very helpful. Sending and receiving payments is also very convenient since it mostly works through just an email address and many times it feels faster than a regular UPI payment or bank transfer. Another useful feature is invoicing because I can quickly create and download invoices for my transactions whenever needed and the platform is also simple to integrate. Since PayPal is a well-known and trusted brand worldwide, it gives me confidence while using it for international transactions. Payments are usually processed quite fast so the money shows up in the account in a reasonable amount of time. Setting it up is also not difficult especially by creating a business account which is why I end up using this application on most days.

Cons

Even though the overall experience with this payment option has been positive, there are still a few areas where it falls short. The first issue is the transaction fees because the platform does charge fees when receiving money from international companies. Also, while funds are often reflected in the PayPal account almost instantly, it usually takes around 1 to 2 days for the money to actually reach my bank account. Customer support is another weak point at times since I have sometimes struggled to get proper assistance online and could not interact with support as easily as expected.

complete financial hub

Pros

It works really well as a financial hub and gives excellent value for the money. One of the biggest advantages is how simple it is to use, the interface is clean and simple so sending money, receiving payments and managing everything feels very effortless. For freelancers and small businesses, the built-in invoicing feature is especially valuable. It makes creating professional invoices and tracking them much more convenient. Once payments come in, the related tools also help with organizing expenses. Even though no platform is perfect and small bugs can appear from time to time, the support team is usually quick to step in and help. On top of that, the payment status and history features act almost like task tracking since they let you clearly see what has already been completed and what still needs attention.

Cons

There honestly are not many major downsides but the fees can be expensive especially for international payments and they do not always feel consistent. There are also times when account holds happen or policy changes come without much warning which can be frustrating and interrupt the flow of business even if those measures are understandable for preventing fraud.

helps with client trust

Pros

PayPal really helps with client trust and faster payments. Pretty much everyone recognizes it so clients are usually comfortable paying through it without any hesitation. The invoicing feature is also better than expected. As a freelancer, I can store client information, create a PDF invoice or send a payment link within seconds. It looks professional enough that I do not need separate accounting software just for invoicing.

Cons

The fees are the part that hurts most. When you send a $1,000 invoice and instantly lose $30 to $40, it is hard not to notice. It gets even more frustrating with international payments because PayPal's currency conversion rates are usually much worse than standard market rates. Customer support is another weak point. If something goes wrong, getting in touch with an actual person is extremely difficult and it is very common to get trapped in endless automated bot loops instead.

Can hold your funds

Pros

One thing it has going for it is how recognizable it is. Most customers already trust the brand so the checkout process feels familiar and comfortable right away. It's also reasonably simple to use from both the business side and the customer side and that level of comfort definitely helps cut down on friction during payment.

Cons

lt can place holds on your funds with very little warning. From a business owner's perspective, not having full control over your own money is incredibly frustrating. On top of that, the fees run higher than competitors like Stripe and not being able to completely disable shipping options creates unnecessary restrictions for businesses that sell services instead of physical products.

My trusted program for online shopping

Pros

It has become my go-to for nearly all of my online shopping. I first signed up because I wanted the added security of keeping my credit card information protected. Since then, I've also started using it for selling my hobby artwork and that same sense of security matters just as much from the seller side. Anytime I've run into an issue with a buyer or a merchant that I couldn't settle directly, contacting PayPal for help has been very simple and hassle-free. They've always been able to get things resolved for me. Overall the seller fees feel very fair considering the level of protection included. And as a buyer, it's even better since I don't pay any extra fees for the security PayPal provides.

Cons

The mobile website can be a little awkward when I'm trying to find my shareable personal profile page. I always seem to forget where it's hidden. Also, "Personal Profile" doesn't feel like the clearest name for that page. I'd much rather see it labeled something that better reflects its purpose like "My Pay Me Page." I'd also prefer if that personal profile page didn't automatically display your full name, just based on my own preference.

Fast transfers and broad acceptance

Pros

Using it has been a simple way to send and receive payments and for most of my business transactions, it doesn't cost me anything. A large portion of my small business income comes in through this platform and overall it has been very reliable and hassle-free. The speed of transferring funds is a big plus and it helps that PayPal is accepted in so many places.

Cons

Every now and then my account has been frozen and my funds put on hold without any warning, while they ask for additional business information I had already submitted before. Then I have to wait days for a manual review before it gets sorted out and each time they end up finding nothing wrong. It has happened twice within a few months which has been pretty frustrating. Thankfully, that has really been the only issue.

Trusted name for clients

Pros

It is probably the most reliable brand in this space and that matters a lot to clients. When people see PayPal, they immediately feel their payment is secure and that they are dealing with something trustworthy.

Cons

On the seller side though things are much less convenient. The approval process takes a long time and feels pretty tedious. Even after getting accepted, they still charge 15 dollars to review your documents again. Also, keep in mind that you need to be a registered entity if you want to receive money from payments.

instant transfers and low fees

Pros

Instant transfers, low fees and the flexibility to move money between different accounts have been fantastic. On top of that, being able to invoice customers directly from the software is incredibly valuable.

Cons

Customer support can be a bit slow when it comes to resolving disputes but if you have the proper evidence, things usually get sorted out in the end.

quick and secure transactions

Pros

It makes online payments really convenient since it is accepted on so many websites. Transactions are quick and secure, whether I am paying locally or sending money internationally. Getting started is simple and the mobile app helps me keep an eye on payments and manage my account without any hassle. The buyer and seller protection is also a big plus because it adds more confidence when sending or receiving money online.

Cons

One thing that can be frustrating with PayPal is the transaction fees especially when dealing with international payments since they can get expensive. Customer support is not always quick to respond and sometimes account limitations happen without a clear reason being given. On top of that, the reporting and expense management tools are fairly basic so they may not be enough for businesses that need more advanced features.

Keeps track of my digital payment activity

Pros

Being able to check out without constantly handing over my card details is one of the biggest reasons I use it. That extra layer of security gives me a lot of peace of mind and I also appreciate how it helps me keep track of my digital payment activity. Another major plus is the Resolution Centre. Knowing there's dependable support available when something goes wrong adds a lot of value and it's worked really well the times I've needed it. The fact that so many of the payment features are free for customers makes it even more worthwhile.

Cons

I run into integration issues with certain merchants where it looks like there's still one more step before the payment or order is confirmed but then the transaction suddenly goes through anyway. A bit more clarity during that process would really help. Also, when PayPal opens in a popup instead of a new tab, the experience can feel a little awkward and buggy.

accepted across vendor websites

Pros

The best thing about it is how widely accepted it is in 2026 across online stores and vendor websites for payments. On top of that, nearly everyone I know already has a personal PayPal account. When so many people use it, the platform naturally becomes even more useful and dependable.

Cons

A downside even though it has only come up for me once or twice, is the fee charged when money is not sent or received as a friends-and-family payment.

Logical interface

Pros

Using it has been really convenient because sending and receiving money is fast and without much hassle. Both the app and the website are simple to understand so even someone new to it can navigate everything without trouble. Whenever a problem comes up, the customer support team is helpful and responds quickly which makes a big difference. More than anything, PayPal feels secure and well-established so I'm comfortable relying on it for online transactions. Overall it's a dependable service that I'd definitely recommend.

Cons

The fees and the occasional account hold can be annoying. The charges can seem a bit expensive and there are times when accounts get limited without much notice which is frustrating. On top of that, getting those issues resolved can sometimes take a while.

instant funds and dual accounts access

Pros

Money becomes available right away after checkout. It's also convenient being able to switch between a personal account and a business account from the same app.

Cons

On the business side, putting together an invoice feels a little more complicated than it should be. There also isn't a simple way to make a payment link since you have to go through the social media item listing flow just to generate one.

Easy to move about

Pros

The overall design is well done. As a complete payment product, PayPal also supports real-time currency conversion regardless of which country the funds come from. The customer support is reliable too. Creating invoices, bills and tax invoices is convenient which makes it a worthwhile platform to use.

Cons

It applies a fixed fee to every payment, no matter how small or large the amount is and that can really hurt small vendors. It would be better if the fees were based on the amount received. There is also no wallet option available.

Not hard to understand

Pros

It feels very simple to understand. It's convenient that I can connect my other accounts, send money person to person and also move funds directly into my account.

Cons

feels simple to use

Pros

After using PayPal for many years, it still feels very simple to use. It is the only platform I genuinely trust for sending and receiving money because of its strong security features.

Cons

The biggest downside with it is the fees especially for international sales. Even though the security is excellent, there have also been times when accounts were locked over suspected fraud that turned out not to be fraud at all.
