“Top-notch API integration”
Pros
I use it both personally and for my business and the developer console as well as the API integration are really important to me.
Cons
Unfortunately, it still isn't possible to use one bank account across multiple accounts. That has been the case for years. I really think this should finally be changed so that one bank connection can be used for several accounts.

“Installment payments are a lifesaver”
Pros
Having installment payment options available now has been a huge help especially when I need to buy something but do not have credit available to use. It really feels like a very valuable option for consumers.
Cons
I cannot correct the name on the account. I have tried many times but it still shows my mom's name which ends up confusing vendors. She was originally set up years ago using my email and ever since then I have not been able to change it from her name which drives me crazy.

“Helpful for ecommerce”
Pros
It's widely accepted just about everywhere which really helps for ecommerce since it's so readily available.
Cons
To be honest, the fees tied to PayPal are still the biggest downside. They've always felt pretty high and they just keep going up.

“convenient checkout”
Pros
Checkout is really convenient and it's accepted at almost every place where I need to make a payment.
Cons
The only downside was the wait to verify my new business account. It took nearly two days which delayed my income.

“Consistently fast”
Pros
I've been using it for well over 10 years and it has consistently been secure, fast and simple to use.
Cons
I've genuinely had a very positive experience with it, both on the mobile app and in the browser and I don't really have any complaints about it.

“Trusted name for payments”
Pros
Pretty much everyone knows it and most people have either used it already or at least had some experience with it at some point.
Cons
The backend is where it falls short. Whether you use it for personal payments or for business, there are competing platforms out there that handle things better.

“added protection for buyers”
Pros
Getting money to someone or receiving it is really quick which is one of the things I enjoy most about it. I also appreciate that there's a free option for paying friends, along with the business payment option that adds protection when I'm buying from someone I don't know. My daughter once bought a pair of shoes from a seller on Facebook who disappeared right after. Thankfully, we had used PayPal's business option and we were able to recover every bit of the money.
Cons
Honestly I don't really have any complaints. The only possible downside is that fewer people seem to use it now because there are so many other payment apps available so it may not be the best fit in every situation.

“Can use it across variety of platforms”
Pros
PayPal has been a convenient and reliable way to handle payments. I can use it for business transactions across a variety of different platforms without any trouble.
Cons
I really haven't run into any problems with PayPal itself. The only frustrating part is that some merchants add higher-than-usual fees which can be annoying.

“Fast payments and invoicing”
Pros
It makes handling online payments feel fast, simple and secure. I use it mainly to create and send invoices and it also works well whenever I need to withdraw funds.
Cons
There are moments when it gets frustrating especially when temporary limitations are placed on the account whenever it detects any suspicious payment activity.

“Simple to withdraw money”
Pros
Getting started with it is quick and the whole platform is fast to use. It connects with other apps without much hassle which makes getting paid and setting up recurring payments really convenient. Withdrawing money is also simple.
Cons
Everything works really well overall but the one downside is that same-day withdrawals come with a fee if you want the money to appear in your account right away.

“Account security was terrible”
Pros
Nothing positive to write here.
Cons
It was really upsetting how simple it was for someone to break into my account and take it over and PayPal didn't do anything to help fix the situation.

“versatile product”
Pros
Checkout is fast and simple. I have several payment methods saved so it only takes a moment to pick the one I want to use when I'm paying. It's accepted at almost every store I use which makes it really versatile and having a physical card is especially useful for financing options and other perks when I'm shopping in person.
Cons
Honestly with an account that's been active for at least 15 years, I can't say I've had any real problems. The only thing I remember is that there were times when finding the right section for the PayPal credit card to make payments felt a bit confusing but that issue has been fixed since then.

“efficient payment platform”
Pros
It has been one of the most efficient payment platforms our company uses. It has proven useful to our employees over the years and continues to be a dependable option for handling payments.
Cons
Compared with some of the newer money transfer apps that the younger people on our team prefer, PayPal feels a bit slower. The account setup also took a little longer than we expected.

“Top-tier interface”
Pros
The interface is still one of the best around and the platform feels secure while also being widely adaptable and commonly used.
Cons
Credit card payment fees are quite high and in Australia clients can no longer pay by credit card unless they have an account. Filtering older transactions can also be a bit tedious.

“No need to enter my card details”
Pros
Lets me connect credit and debit card payments to all kinds of programs without needing to hand over my actual card details to websites I do not know or fully trust.
Cons
Paying without linking everything to my real identity is hard because of PayPal's account creation rules. On top of that, changing from one card to another can feel a bit unuser-friendly sometimes.

“Cuts down extra paperwork”
Pros
It makes it simple to send supplier payments right away and receive client payments instantly too, without dealing with extra banking paperwork or unnecessary hassle. The transaction data is also really helpful when it comes time for audits.
Cons
That said, if your business handles a large number of payments, the transaction fees on business accounts can start to add up and become pretty significant.

“cost is too high”
Pros
it is very simple to figure out and it connects with a wide range of websites and apps. Setting up an account is simple too.
Cons
The fees are just too high. Whether you use it for personal or business purposes, they still take a large cut. The last time I used it to send money to a relative, I ended up paying as much as a 10% fee.

“Competitive fees”
Pros
Paying and receiving money is simple and linking an external account doesn't take much effort. The fees are fairly low overall although there's still some room to make them better.
Cons
One thing that gets in the way is the mix of two different interfaces, one old and one new. That combination makes navigation confusing and makes it harder to update things when managing accounts and currencies.

“Option to split up payments”
Pros
It's very simple to use and my clients feel comfortable with it as well. There's also an option that lets clients split up their payments.
Cons
When customers have a bad experience with it, they usually don't come back to use it again and that can hurt the business.

“extra protection for my card”
Pros
It adds a secure layer between my credit card and online stores. I began using it because I wanted extra protection for my card whenever I shop online.
Cons
It still isn't as universally accepted as paying directly with a credit card. Even though PayPal is available on many shopping sites, direct card payments are still more widely used overall.
