“Trusted by millions online”

Pros

The setup is pretty simple even if you're completely new to online payments and it's accepted by millions of businesses across the web.

Cons

It charges fairly high fees especially when it comes to international transactions and currency conversion. It also sometimes puts holds on users' funds without giving a clear explanation and the resolution center can feel quite one-sided.

“Advanced security features”

Pros

The app feels very simple and the advanced security features are a big plus especially since buyers are protected with a refund if something goes wrong with a purchase. On top of that, there are no fees and it also offers promotions and discounts on some transactions. It is excellent!

Cons

For currency conversion, international transactions can end up costing a bit more because of the percentage PayPal deducts. There is also a limitation with banking support since not every bank is accepted for debit cards, only certain ones. Scams can still happen so it is important to stay alert about that. Even with those points, the app is still good overall.

Pros

This app lets you pay for both online purchases and in-store transactions using the company card which is really convenient. On a personal level, there are no fees charged at all and that is a big advantage. The app performs excellently and feels very simple to use.

Cons

There are not many downsides to using PayPal from what I can see, except that some online stores still do not offer PayPal as a payment option. This happens especially with foreign countries where other payment standards and apps are more commonly used.

The exchange rates and fees are extremely high, to the point that the service just is not usable.

One thing that has been really useful about it is being able to send invoices to customers who would rather pay by check or use another payment method without logging into PayPal or using a PayPal account.

I honestly have not run into any negative experiences while using it.

I've been using PayPal since 2012 for both personal and professional transactions and the biggest advantage for me has been the security it gives when I'm sending or receiving payments. The interface is also very user-friendly and simple to use.

Cons

At times they place funds on hold without giving a clear explanation which can be stressful when your business depends on having access to that money.

Pros

Getting around the interface feels very simple. Creating website buttons and forms is also really simple and I can clearly label what each donation or payment is meant for. It's also nice that people have the choice to pay with their PayPal account or use another payment method.

Cons

Every now and then it glitches and a payment doesn't go through or users think they were charged twice. I also wish the buttons came with more customization and personalization options.

Pros

The simplicity of sending payments to certain people outside of France is what makes PayPal really convenient for me.

Cons

Some countries around the world especially in Africa, still don't have access to PayPal.

the website or app feels very simple and I also appreciate the extra security it adds when shopping online.

Cons

There is not really anything specific I dislike about PayPal although the 'help' feature could definitely be improved.

There really wasn't anything positive about this experience. If I could take legal action, I would because they refused to do anything on their side.

Cons

After I asked for PayPal monthly payments on a $1,500 camera, PayPal charged the full amount at once instead of setting it up correctly. They would not reverse the transaction and pushed all the responsibility onto me and the merchant. If I could file a lawsuit, I would because they refused to do anything on their end.

It's really useful being able to use it to buy things from overseas.

I can't add my UK phone number which is a problem now that I live in the UK.

It is accepted in a lot of places, simple to use and secure which makes handling international transactions really convenient.

Pros

Using it to send or receive payments feels really simple. It does an excellent job with both and honestly it's one of the best options out there for handling payments.

Cons

A few of the cancellation fees can feel a bit expensive. Even with that, PayPal still works well overall so it's not a major problem.

The interface is very simple which makes it convenient to send and receive money in supported countries and I can also transfer funds directly to a bank account.

Cons

It sometimes redirects me to a page saying, "we are sorry, we couldn't confirm it's you" when I try to log in or add a card. The only way to fix it is by calling their very expensive phone support. They also do not offer email support or a feedback form so the only option for resolving problems or account issues is to go through that costly call.

Managing payments with it has been really convenient for sending and receiving money. It also offers protection against fraud and gives you control over unwanted subscriptions which you can cancel whenever you want.

Cons

I'm not happy that Russia was removed from the available countries for sending and receiving money.

Pros

Being able to link my credit cards and use them anywhere PayPal is accepted is really convenient.

Cons

From a seller's side though, it comes with quite a few downsides, withdrawals can take several days and funds sometimes get frozen without any notice.

It is easy to use and it connects smoothly in most of the places where I need to pay. I also appreciate that my purchases are secure and easy to track.

Cons

it still isn't available as a payment option in every country. For instance, I work with a few freelancers in Pakistan and PayPal just isn't supported there.

PayPal works really well not just for personal purchases but also as a secure and reliable way to send online donations and contributions to charities and nonprofits.

It can take a while for the payment processor to link up with and verify your bank account or debit card.

One thing I don't care for is the service fee charged to send money. It can also be hard to reach a live customer service representative.

It's still one of the best ways to handle certain types of money transfers. In some situations like buying or selling on eBay, it really remains the ideal option.

Cons

Connecting it with my bank or keeping enough balance set aside for automatic payouts can be tricky. It's not impossible to manage but it does take some effort.
