“Feature-rich software”

Pros

The feature set is really solid, the overall user experience feels polished and the security gives me confidence when using it. Customer support has also been very helpful and it's easy to get in touch with the team when needed.

Cons

The only downside on my side is the pricing since it feels a bit expensive compared to other payment options especially as an overseas user based in Asia.

Pros

Being able to shop on thousands of online stores that accept it is a big advantage. Some very well-known websites even rely on it as their only payment option like the famous eBay marketplace. It also makes sending and receiving money very convenient since everything can be done just by using the email address linked to the registered PayPal account.

Cons

There are hidden money transfer fees and PayPal also adds an extra commission for transferring funds securely. These charges change depending on the country and the amount being transferred so the higher the amount, the more expensive the transfer becomes. Refunds in dispute cases can also take a long time which can backfire and push some users to switch to another bank. Accounts may be frozen quickly if there is hacking, stolen account data or any suspicious activity coming from someone other than the account owner. Another limitation is that the recipient must have a PayPal account in order to receive money. On top of that, withdrawing money from a bank account to a PayPal account can be slow even if the service is free.

“Fantastic buyer protection program”

Pros

The buyer protection program is definitely the standout feature for me. I've used it on three different occasions and received a refund every time which gives me a lot of confidence in the service. On top of that, it's quick to use and very convenient especially for online payments and those are two big reasons why I keep choosing it.

it wasn't compatible with one of my credit cards so I ended up linking it directly to my bank account instead.

It feels very simple to handle and the search function works really well when I need to find a specific item.

Honestly I don't really have anything negative to point out since my experience buying things with it has consistently been positive.

When you factor in the low cost of the service, it really feels like the benchmark that other platforms in this space are measured against.

it does not always provide highly specific or targeted features for certain industries or unique business models so it tends to be a better fit for more general payment and billing needs. If a business needs something more customized or tailored to a very particular operation, PayPal may not cover every requirement.

The best part for me is how reliably it handles online payment processing, along with the strong security the platform provides.

Getting started was a bit rough at first but the updated platform seems to have fixed that issue.

Honestly I don't really have any complaints. The only issue I've had was one time when it was difficult to get in touch with customer support.

At this point there's honestly nothing about the tool that I can say I like.

A few years back, I actually enjoyed using this tool but lately it feels like it has nothing worthwhile to offer. My account keeps getting limited and whenever I upload the requested documents, it just ends up being permanently limited anyway. Really a pathetic tool.

Handling payments with it has been really simple. It keeps things simple without piling on a bunch of extra features so paying, getting paid and sending invoices all feel very clear and manageable especially for someone like me who is not very familiar with software. The refund feature is one part I especially appreciate because it makes things much easier for people who are new to running a business or working in trades. It also feels very secure which is extremely important considering the kind of information and transactions it handles.

I have not noticed any real flaws with the software.

Having multiple ways to pay in one place makes it really convenient. It supports credit cards, debit cards, bank accounts, Venmo, pay later options and even cryptocurrency so I have a lot more flexibility whether I'm sending money or receiving it. The security side is also reassuring, with advanced protection and fraud prevention for transactions. On top of that, there are plenty of useful rewards and benefits for using the service like cash back, discounts, coupons and free return shipping.

Cons

One thing that still needs improvement is transferring money from the PayPal balance to a bank account or debit card. That feature has not been working properly for me and it would be much better if it were available in all countries.

It is accepted almost everywhere and has a strong reputation for security which makes me feel comfortable linking it to my other financial accounts. From a consumer side, it's very simple to use and buying things online feels simple and secure.

The social features in the app don't really interest me. It also takes a bit of searching around before you can find the option to transfer funds to a bank account.

One frustrating part is moving back and forth in the system and having to sign in again repeatedly.
