simple tool with clear visibility

Pros

Having an end-to-end CRM that feels fairly simple makes a big difference for our sales team. It supports collaboration while on the go and helps simplify the way we log lead and contact interactions. On top of that, it lets us create, track, approve and book opportunities and quotes which gives the team much better visibility when it comes to reporting.

Cons

Interaction logging still feels fairly manual and that part could definitely be improved. Even with add-ins available, it would be much better if one-click interaction logging settings were turned on by default at the user level.

Feature-packed with helpful training

Pros

Getting started with it is very easy and it offers more features and functionality than most users will probably ever need. The free training modules are excellent, both for people just learning the platform and for continued training over time.

Cons

When a site is built using Classic, there ends up being quite a bit you can't do even when it feels like it should be basic functionality. Customer support is only average. There are people who try to help but better and faster answers usually come from the user communities.

Reporting and sales tracking

Pros

Our team uses Inside Sales to manage new business opportunities as well as renewals and it has been incredibly valuable. The reporting capabilities are extensive which is something we really appreciate and we also make use of the marketing side through add-ons like Pardot. Overall, it has been an outstanding resource for just about everything we need. There are also plenty of additional features available that I wish we had the budget to add because it's such a powerful platform.

Cons

One challenge, despite how much I value all the functionality, is that the reporting and dashboard tools feel underused simply because there is so much depth to them. They're extremely powerful but learning how to take full advantage of everything would require a lot of training. It's such a massive system that even though it's highly useful, many capabilities end up going unused.

Reporting and collaboration

Pros

Salesforce keeps all of our data organized across departments and different parts of the company. As a sales rep, my day basically begins and ends in SFDC now. Once the reporting and dashboards are set up the right way, the automation saves a huge amount of time. It also makes collaborating on projects and tasks much simpler for our team.

Cons

Coming into the role, it was my first time ever using a CRM so the learning curve felt pretty steep at the beginning. I've also noticed slow load times and it seems like the team managing the system has occasionally struggled to clean up workflows. That said, this may be more of an internal setup issue than something caused by Salesforce itself.

HubSpot and Marketo integration

Pros

Compared with other options, this one is much better and the way it connects with HubSpot and Marketo works really well while still being simple to use.

Cons

It can be a bit complicated for someone new to pick up without a lot of explanation. I'm also not sure why it needs four separate types, account, customer, opportunity and lead, because that adds confusion when it syncs with marketing automation systems.

Highly adaptable CRM

Pros

This CRM is incredibly extensible and can be shaped to fit almost any use case especially if you have access to an IT developer. With the right expertise behind it, it can be customized to manage all kinds of data, inputs and outputs. At our company, it has been adapted to work across thousands of customer files in a linear, user-friendly way.

Cons

Before our company customized the way we use it internally, we had to work around a few obstacles to get it to accept the information we needed to enter. After putting in that effort though, it now matches our use case perfectly and has been tailored to our needs so it's not a major downside.

Flexible with rich apps

Pros

Right out of the box, it gives you the core pieces you need for a CRM solution. At the same time, it's highly configurable so you can build on those basics and tailor the application to fit your business processes. For a basic user, development is very approachable too, spinning up sandboxes is included at no extra cost and is simple to do which makes it convenient to build and test changes before releasing them to users. On top of creating your own custom apps, there's also a broad marketplace of app vendors offering both free and paid solutions for all kinds of business needs, from HR to scrum management.

Cons

Deployment side of things feels fairly awkward. Once you start dealing with more complex scenarios especially ones that require code, the deployment overhead can become pretty heavy.

Sales dashboard that works

Pros

Getting started with it is easy and it offers plenty of features for every level of the sales team, from sales engineers to managers and even senior leadership. It also makes it simple to stay on top of opportunities, customer meetings and other activities while the single dashboard gives a clear view of different sales-related issues.

Cons

Nothing comes to mind at the moment. The features have all been very user-friendly and easy to understand.

easy workflows and reporting

Pros

It adds real value especially through the flexibility to customize interfaces and process flows so they fit internal policies. Reports and dashboards can be created in any format needed and they're accessible 24/7 through multiple channels like the browser and app.

Cons

When several products or services are added to an opportunity or quotation, removing more than one of them takes a lot of time because there's no bulk or multi-delete option.

Case management and reporting

Pros

One of the most useful parts of this software is the report generation feature. The interface is simple which makes daily work more manageable. It also works really well as a case management tool and the customer support team has been reliable whenever needed. Connecting it with other apps is fairly easy too so integrations are not much of a hassle.

Cons

There is definitely a steep learning curve and the limited amount of learning material does not help. Managing duplicate leads can also be a bit complicated at times. On top of that, the CRM feels more suitable for larger organizations because the pricing can be hard to justify for smaller teams.

Customization and reporting

Pros

It's highly customizable, runs efficiently and stays very simple to manage day to day. The reporting is a really useful addition too especially the option to export data into an Excel spreadsheet file.

Cons

Downside is the cost and because the platform is fairly complex, it can take some time to fully learn how to use everything in the tool.

Reporting that delivers

Pros

Switching over from an old Access database has been a big step for our company and it has been working well for us. We're a nonprofit managing 22 housing sites and more than 2,000 tenants so having something people will actually use matters a lot. The biggest advantage has been how user-friendly it is and how quickly our team has bought into it. Our data is organized in a way that makes sense, the system feels functional for daily use and pulling reports is especially important for our organization. That part has been a real strength and it delivers exactly where we need it to.

Cons

One challenge is that we currently rely on a third-party financial app and it's taking time to build that out within the system so it fits our specific needs. That's not really its fault but I do hope it eventually offers its own built-in financial accounting tool.

awkward navigation

Pros

One thing I appreciated was how the platform had dedicated sections for pretty much everything you might need. When they updated the interface, it was also helpful that they kept the option to preview the previous look which made the transition less difficult for users. I also liked having the RMA system built directly into the software instead of relying on a separate tool and just leaving a comment since creating an actual RMA case linked within the system felt much more organized.

Cons

At the same time, I never felt the platform was very simple and tracking down what I needed usually took far too long because I had to jump from tab to tab. The case comments were another frustration. I preferred the older layout from a couple of years ago, where internal comments and emails were clearly distinguished but still displayed together in chronological order. In the newer version, I had to choose whether to view comments or emails and on top of that, they were not always arranged in the right timeline.

CRM with strong security

Pros

This is an impressive CRM platform with a wide range of features and great security. It also offers a stable management system and people can use it either as software or as a service to build their web and mobile applications.

Cons

New version components do not show code updates right away so clearing the cache and refreshing the screen several times is needed before the changes appear.

Centralized customer tracking

Pros

Across the organization, it provides plenty of tools for tracking customer interactions. Having all of that information stored in one central database is a major advantage since it makes relevant details about past interactions accessible to all staff when they need them.

Cons

Getting it set up the right way takes very detailed customization and that often means extra cost to bring in trained professionals for help. When multiple stakeholders want different things from the software, it can be tough to balance everyone's priorities and build something that works for all. It's worth expecting to spend a fair amount of time planning the customization approach and defining exactly what you need the system to do.

Versatile platform with strong community

Pros

This platform goes far beyond being just a CRM. Between the community built around it and the wide range of features available, it can be used for much more than traditional CRM work.

Cons

One of the biggest challenges for admins and users is that as the ecosystem keeps growing and more products are added, it gets harder to track down answers to very specific questions. The community helps fill in a lot of those gaps but with newer products that still lack documentation solving issues on your own can be really tough when hardly anyone else has run into the same problem.

Pros

Customizing the application is easy and the marketing tools are practical to use. It's simple to configure the app across different platforms which makes the whole setup process feel very convenient.

Cons
