Pipeline visibility

Pros

From initial engagement to final closure, it does an excellent job of tracking deals through every stage. I really appreciate how configurable it is to match an organization's specific needs and workflows which helps give clear pipeline visibility at every level, from middle management to leadership, along with more accurate forecasting. The Outlook integration is also genuinely useful because it keeps all client communication in one place so you can stay on top of everything almost in real time.

Cons

Getting comfortable with it takes some time because there's a bit of a learning curve around the interface, workflows, deal definitions and the different features available. The UI also isn't the most polished or user-friendly especially compared with other software people are already familiar with. A UX refresh with fewer clicks to complete tasks would make a big difference and stronger AI and predictive features would help align day-to-day work even more.

reporting powerhouse

Pros

This really feels like a one-stop platform for just about every CRM need. They've practically set the standard for customer relationship management. The reporting features are where it shines most and it connects with nearly any mainstream software solution you can think of.

Cons

The system isn't the most simple to learn at first. I've used other platforms over the years that were definitely easier to navigate. Still, once you get familiar with how it works, it performs like a gem.

CRM with anywhere access

Pros

Having everything in one web-based platform is a big plus especially since it covers customer service, sales management, marketing automation and more in one place. It works really well for small businesses because there are a lot of useful features available. The client information it provides is very relevant and helps a lot with lead generation and with automating marketing campaigns. Another strong point is that it's a cloud-based CRM so access is available anytime and from anywhere. Every time I log in, I can quickly see campaign data through graphs, widgets and charts which makes it much easier to understand performance and decide what steps to take when something is off track.

Cons

One downside is that the software can be quite complex. Smaller businesses may struggle to fully understand it and use it effectively. Larger companies usually have dedicated sales teams that are better equipped to handle a system like this while small businesses may not have a sales department at all or may already rely on other tools. It would also be much better if there were a desktop version where data could be stored on hard drives. That kind of application should also make some features available offline, such as reading reports and comparing them side by side.

Reliable features

Pros

The flexibility this software gives for creating and manipulating data is something I really appreciate. Its feature set feels very powerful and everything works together extremely well. One thing that stands out is how consistent the product is across the board. I never have to worry about one part failing or being less dependable than the rest.

Cons

At times, it can feel a bit too limited in certain areas. There are situations where I want it to do a little more but it falls slightly short and sometimes I run into a wall that can only be worked around with Apex.

simple layout

Pros

Right away, the interface feels thoughtfully designed, with everything placed where you'd expect it to be. The overall layout is polished, simple and clearly had a lot of attention put into it.

Cons

The only thing I'd want more of is built-in customization since having to rely on a third party for that can be limiting.

Slow loading and outdated UI

Pros

It does a decent job of organizing prospects, including both leads and contacts and it helps keep account ownership clear across the sales team. All the notes stay in one place and it's convenient to pull up calls and emails without much digging.

Cons

Using the software can be frustrating because it isn't very user-friendly and takes a long time to load. It also allows duplicate accounts to be created which turns into a major hassle when trying to split accounts among sales reps. Even the new version feels like it's stuck in the early 2000s, with a very basic and dated design. The metrics aren't always reliable and while there are plenty of reports available, they often take so long to run that they lose their value. Entering contact details for every lead manually is incredibly time-consuming and updating information is just as slow and tedious. The software could be much better with a redesigned interface and improvements to some core functions.

Reporting and flexibility

Pros

Right from the start, this software felt very easy to use and it came packed with so much functionality that I never felt limited by the kinds of projects we were managing in it. The reporting tool ended up being my favorite part. I could build just about any report I needed and became really good at customizing them in all sorts of useful ways.

Cons

One downside was that customer service could be hard to reach at times. It was pretty common for support tickets to take several days before getting a response.

Outlook integration and mobile app

Pros

Adding information is very easy, the Outlook integration works really well and the mobile app is simple to use. Overall, it's a really great product.

Cons

Customer support is the weak point for me. Most of the time it's not very helpful and a lot of the support staff come across like assisting customers is more of an annoyance than their actual job.

Easy navigation and clear layouts

Pros

Working in it has always been something I enjoy. Having a clear view of my organization's information structure makes it simple to understand where everything lives and I can usually move around simplely to find what I need. I've used this tool at every company I've worked for and even though each setup can differ from one installation to another, the overall experience still feels user-friendly and simple.

Cons

At a few companies, there were periods when no IT admin was actively supporting the system. When that happens even small fixes and routine remedies can take longer than they should which ends up affecting how efficiently individual departments operate. It would make a big difference if every installation included some level of IT support to manage minor updates and adjustments, along with a Visio diagram or similar documentation that maps out the implementation so future executives can quickly understand the workflows.

Platform for business automation

Pros

This has a ton of potential as a tool for automating and aligning just about any business. It helped our company move away from using several different data and record-keeping platforms and rely mostly on this one instead.

Cons

It is not completely simple at first and takes some explanation and training before someone can really use it well which leaves newer users more likely to make mistakes with the data.

All-in-one event planning

Pros

Using this software for event planning was incredibly efficient. Everything felt organized, aligned and kept together in one place. The way it stored my contacts along with their matching contracts worked exactly the way I needed the program to work.

Cons

Getting through the training took some time but once you learn how to use it, everything goes very well.

Team visibility and better handoffs

Pros

Across our organization, this software completely changed how different departments stayed in sync. We were able to keep detailed records of customer interactions, account details and status updates which made communication between employees much more organized and efficient. When someone called our customer service team, we could quickly see the latest activity on their account and give accurate guidance right away. It also helped us track how far our development team had progressed with software deployments, what conversations customer and account managers had already had with them and any additional notes tied to the account. I absolutely love this software. It took a lot of friction out of everyone's day-to-day work and honestly feels essential for any company with more than 10 clients or more than 10 employees.

Cons

The biggest downside is the price which could be too much for a small business to justify. Customer support can also be frustrating at times. For example, we ran into a lot of trouble getting employee logins working correctly and password resets or login-related help were more of a hassle than they should have been. Those are genuinely the only problems I've had with it though. Aside from that, it's been a dream to use.

Sales tracking essentials

Pros

Hard to imagine what sales work was even like before having a tool like this. I really can't see myself doing my job without it now. Documenting client interactions is simple, all contact details stay in one place and it helps a lot that the rest of my team can also see what I'm actively working on.

Cons

A lot depends on how the admin has the system configured because it can sometimes be a bit confusing to track down the information you need. In some cases, getting to the page you're trying to find takes several clicks.

Advanced tool with some friction

Pros

This software comes with a lot of advanced features. From linking customer orders and tracking information to using the CRM, it has been a really valuable addition to my business.

Cons

Navigating through the tabs and screens can feel a bit complicated especially since there's sometimes a slight delay when new items load. It also doesn't filter out duplicate customers or accounts.

Custom sales workflow

Pros

Newest version comes with a really polished interface and it can be tailored well to match the way our sales workflow operates.

Cons

Since it's such a feature-packed platform, it takes almost dedicated resources to set everything up properly and stay on top of updates. The data connections between it and several other tools we use, like Cirrus Insights, ZoomInfo, MailChimp and our web lead capture, also aren't as convenient as we'd want.

Customization and learning tools

Pros

One of the biggest strengths of this platform is also what makes it stand out most, you can tailor it to fit just about any need. If your team has specific workflows, permissions or security requirements, the platform gives you the flexibility to support them. The mobile app is excellent and ends up being the version most of our users rely on day to day. Even though there are still a few areas that could be improved, the overall experience has been very positive. It also does a strong job rolling out new features and updates based on feedback from the community. The IdeaExchange is a fantastic resource and SF really seems to pay attention to what users are asking for when planning changes. On top of that, Trailhead is easily one of the best training tools out there. The self-learning experience is outstanding and SF does a really good job keeping the modules current.

Cons

That same flexibility and customization that make the platform so valuable can also make it challenging to work with. The best comparison I can think of is that it is like being handed a beautiful house from the outside, they give you the roof, walls and doors but everything inside and how it is set up is completely up to you. Because of that, when a specific issue comes up, you may need to bring in a developer to handle it unless you already have one on staff. The AppExchange is also very useful but it can become expensive pretty quickly. A lot of companies take a Salesforce idea, refine it and then sell it through the AppExchange. That can definitely be helpful but it also adds another layer of cost.

Read receipts that help

Pros

Having the read receipts feature has been a huge plus for me. It lets me check whether my work clients have received and opened specific documents and agreements which is really important in video and media production. It helps me stay on top of client communication and keep track of where things stand. Scheduling emails is another feature I really appreciate since it helps me manage my time better and plan outreach more strategically around people's habits and packed schedules.

Cons

Biggest downside is the price. We're a small team of 9 people and 5 of us currently have licenses but the per-user cost still feels pretty high. If we aren't able to get a better rate, we may end up canceling the service which would be disappointing because we genuinely enjoy using IQ.

Customizable interface

Pros

The interface feels very convenient and the level of customization this software offers is excellent.

Cons

Fully flexible and powerful

Pros

One of the best parts is how customizable it is. Every business feels like it has its own way of doing things and this software really lets you tailor the features to match that and make it feel unique to your needs.

Cons

It definitely takes a little time to learn especially if you're coming in without any previous experience like I was. Once I got the hang of it though, I ended up really enjoying it and the custom reports made a huge difference for my startups.

Client tracking that works

Pros

Keeping client records organized has been the biggest benefit for me since I can log and track data for contacts both inside and outside my company. Sharing that information with coworkers is easy and it also helps when I need to quickly pull up someone's contact details to reach a client fast. Another plus is how well it connects with other platforms, I currently have mine linked with Dropbox.

Cons

One thing that falls short is financial tracking. From what I've seen, it's really built more for logging and categorizing information than for managing money-related tasks. There aren't enough features to properly handle billing so if you need a true project management tool that follows client work all the way from kickoff to final billing, this probably isn't the right fit.
