“perfect reporting”
Pros
For Marketing and Sales teams, this platform is pretty much essential. It helps automate lead pipeline management and makes it much easier to convert those leads into active customers. It's also a very capable tool for reporting, letting users track data across leads, contacts, accounts, opportunities, campaigns and more while building dashboards to keep an eye on overall business performance.
Cons
Admin side is fairly complex and not all that easy to learn or work with. On top of that, the reporting features in the new version UI don't feel as easy as they were in the Classic view so I still end up switching back to the original version quite often when I need to create new reports or dashboards.

“Complete customer history”
Pros
Keeping track of sales calls across a team works really well here. When I reach out to a customer, having the full history of notes on the account right in front of me makes a huge difference. It helps the conversation move forward naturally instead of wasting time digging through old interactions or getting caught off guard by an issue I didn't know about.
Cons
At the same time, you're very much tied to the way the system expects things to be done. If a note or task isn't entered with every required field completed correctly, it can basically disappear and not be logged the way you intended. A company also has to understand account hierarchy, otherwise this ends up feeling like little more than an overbuilt contact list. I'd strongly advise against trying to set it up on your own. Bring in an excellent consultant or be absolutely clear about what you want Salesforce to do and have their team build it properly. Without that clarity, Salesforce may simply not be the right fit for your business yet.

“Strong CRM foundation”
Pros
Across a lot of companies, this has clearly become the default CRM and it makes sense why. The platform is built on a strong foundation that covers all the core CRM functionality you'd expect and if something isn't included out of the box, it's flexible enough to build it out to fit your needs.
Cons
One thing that stands out on the downside is how aggressively the new version and the Cadence tool have been pushed to users. In some cases even new orgs are being forced into using them, despite the fact that a cadence tool may not be what every client actually wants or needs.

“Built for B2B sales teams”
Pros
Running a B2B company with a sales-driven model, this feels almost essential. I haven't come across another platform with the same level of scale and capability when it comes to supporting a sales team and keeping customer data organized. It also comes with a massive support network and plenty of open integrations so you can build just about any custom functionality you need into your setup.
Cons
Things can become pretty complicated if you take custom implementations too far. The interface felt outdated and while the move to the new version was a needed upgrade, new version itself is still fairly confusing. I'd expect that to improve over time though.

“Top reporting and flexibility”
Pros
There's a reason this has become a go-to platform across the SaaS industry. It reminds me of the role IBM used to play in the past making it a very reliable and safe choice. The reporting capabilities are excellent and the admin portal is flexible enough to customize and work around different needs.
Cons
Getting started feels a bit like learning to ride a bike. The learning curve is pretty steep in the beginning although it does become second nature with time. I'd also say the out-of-the-box automation could be better especially for teams like ours where organization isn't always perfect.

“Fully customizable control center”
Pros
The platform is highly customizable, includes a business-ready database and can be extended with code. It also gives you very detailed control over what each user can see or do.
Cons
Getting enhancements implemented is nearly impossible and dealing with customer support is frustrating. They tend to ask the same questions repeatedly and when you open a case, support is only offered by phone.

“Reporting and integrations”
Pros
This tool has been an excellent CRM for managing client relationships. It lets me build custom reports using the specific custom fields that matter most for our sales organization which is a big advantage. Another feature I really value is how well it connects with other software and it handles integrations very effectively.
Cons
This tool has introduced some frustrations because certain parts of it are still pretty buggy. I still end up going back to Salesforce Classic at times to get things done. On top of that, getting useful help from support can be difficult and it really feels like you only get out of it what you put into it.

“Reporting with billing integration”
Pros
The reporting tools have been really valuable and the platform is simple for our sales coordinators to work with day to day. Having all of our contracts stored in one place also helps a lot when we need to look back at customer history. Another big plus is the integration with our accounting software which lets billing happen automatically.
Cons
One thing that could be improved is the process for updating rate increases. Right now it feels pretty tedious because we have to go into each opportunity one by one.

“Highly customizable and collaborative”
Pros
After using it for two years, I really enjoyed the experience. It was incredibly customizable, the reporting features were available to everyone in the agency and Feed & Chatter did a nice job of keeping the whole team informed and up to date.
Cons
There was definitely a learning curve at the beginning and I still feel like there's a lot more for me to learn especially when it comes to building formulas and dashboards.

“keeps teams connected”
Pros
Instead of endless back-and-forth emails, our office relies on Chatter to keep communication flowing throughout the day. Since it's part of the IT product suite we already use, it fits in really well with the rest of our tools. We also store important documents there and the search feature makes them quick to track down when needed. Overall, it's been a really great product for our team.
Cons
The downside is that because Chatter is a free product, updates and changes aren't always communicated very well. A lot of the time I only notice something is different after the fact and then I have to call customer service just to figure out what changed.

“CRM with flexible views”
Pros
One thing that really works well here is how complete the software feels. The CRM gives you plenty of customizable fields so keeping contacts organized the way you want is very manageable. It also includes very detailed filtering options for bulk searches through what they call "views," which makes sorting through data much more convenient. I personally prefer the "Lightning" version of the CRM because it feels much simpler and you don't need to take a course to figure it out since most of it is pretty easy.
Cons
At the same time, the platform can be so feature-heavy that it feels overwhelming when you are using it for the first time. Moving through the different tabs and the endless field options can be a lot to take in at first. They do offer free training courses on how to use the platform and those only take about half an hour to complete.

“Platform that keeps improving”
Pros
No matter which cloud you use, Service, Marketing, Enterprise or Communities, the platform is easy to set up, configure and adapt as your needs change. I'm a big fan of it and Einstein only makes it better over time.
Cons
Biggest downside is the price which is definitely on the high side though it does feel like you get the value you pay for. It's also important to have the right people supporting it especially experienced admins and developers.

“Versatile tools for every team”
Pros
Across three different companies, I've used this software for completely different purposes each time and that's what I appreciate most about it. Its versatility is impressive and it adapts really well to different business needs. The wide range of tools helps a lot with my day-to-day tasks, from building reports to managing user access by allowing some people in while restricting others. That's just one example of how much this software can handle.
Cons
Least appealing part is the interface which hasn't really changed at all. It's been the same for years and it feels like there hasn't been much growth or improvement on that side.

“Helpful opportunity tracking”
Pros
Entering opportunities is easy and keeping track of them is just as convenient. Creating accounts and contacts doesn't take much effort either and the email connectivity with tracking is a really useful feature.
Cons
Reporting can be a bit tricky at times. Also, when an opportunity is updated and saved, the close date tends to reset to the date of the edit which can create confusion or cause problems if an account manager or sales rep doesn't notice it.

Pros
Nearly six years in and it's been fantastic watching new functionality get added over time which keeps improving the user experience. We also recently moved to new version and that brought in an even wider range of features that made the platform feel much more powerful.

“Customization is a nightmare!!”
Pros
It works for the basic purpose it was built for right away, without needing much setup.
Cons
The moment you try to customize anything, you run into one obstacle after another because the software and services feel so disconnected. It's honestly surprising how much effort even the simplest changes can take. On top of that, the support is terrible, you're constantly dealing with overseas reps who don't properly read or understand the issue yet still insist on calling over the smallest matters when email would have been perfectly fine.

“Good integrations but weak support”
Pros
It worked really well with Gmail and WordPress and those integrations were definitely a strong point.
Cons
Using it wasn't very simple and customer support was basically nonexistent. We had a hard time customizing the platform in a way that actually worked efficiently for multiple teams and the support we got was completely unhelpful especially given the price. The lack of marketing congreatation made things even more frustrating.

“Client data privacy done right”
Pros
There's a lot of flexibility when it comes to collecting, filing, retrieving and organizing client data. It's also really useful for protecting client privacy by limiting access to only the people who actually need to view that information.
Cons
One thing that has stood out on both teams I've used it with is how heavy and tough the software can feel. The newer version is definitely more agile but making updates and aligning the platform still seems like a pretty big undertaking for the software team.
