Flexible client communication

Pros

Having two-way communication with clients makes a real difference because they can send information to us and we can respond right away so problems get resolved much faster. It also helps a lot with managing critical customer information and answering their needs with the right plans and services. Setup and administration are pretty easy since you mainly handle the session and start using it. The cloud version is especially valuable because it allows full customization for each company, you can add or remove database fields, adjust the screen design, build reports, create dashboards and access the tool from a PC, iPod or mobile phone. On top of that, technical support is available directly through the platform by chat, email or phone.

Cons

The part I like least is definitely the price since the cloud software is quite expensive.

Top CRM for B2B sales

Pros

Working in B2B sales, this feels like an essential tool. The usability organization and storage are all excellent. I can keep track of accounts and leads in one place and call or email them directly from the CRM which saves a lot of time. I use it every single day and after working with other CRMs, this one clearly outperforms the competition. The reporting tools have helped both me and my team uncover accounts and leads that might otherwise get overlooked. It also connects with a wide range of platforms and solutions which has made aligning my workflow incredibly effective.

Cons

Reporting can be a little challenging at first but once you learn how to work with the fields and know what data you want to pull, it becomes much more manageable.

Flexible platform with useful plugins

Pros

Used across a lot of sales organizations which makes it a familiar platform to work with. It has a decent amount of flexibility and there are plenty of plug-ins available that help expand functionality and improve usability.

Cons

One frustrating issue is the risk of losing data when a plug-in is removed which feels pretty backward. It also keeps pushing new version even though it still lacks some of the features I need. Activity tracking can be unreliable at times and the system tends to lag so even basic tasks can take longer than they should. On top of that, you really need a dedicated administrator to get the most out of the platform because it can become fairly complicated.

great CRM for customer records

Pros

At its core, this software does what it's supposed to do. It works as a CRM for storing customer and enquiry details and once you've learned your way around it, using it becomes fairly easy.

Cons

My biggest frustration with this software is that it isn't especially user-friendly. Compared with some other options on the market, getting back to information you've already stored is not always very convenient. For instance, if you log a call and later need to check the notes, you can open the call and review them which is useful but you have to open each call one by one to see the details. That makes tracking down one specific call note pretty difficult. Other CRM tools handle this more like a social media-style timeline, where calls, emails and other activity appear in chronological order so you can scroll through everything until you find exactly what you need instead of opening each entry individually.

Reporting for every team

Pros

Reporting side of this platform feels like a dream for sales managers and team leads. It also does a fantastic job of keeping every department on the same system, whether that's support, customer service, sales or marketing.

Cons

Getting it implemented took several months and there were a few bugs at the beginning. That said, the customer service team was very responsive and quick to help whenever issues came up. Pricing is also on the higher side for mid-size companies especially when other platforms offer similar features at a much lower cost.

Dashboards and reporting

Pros

The reporting tools and dashboards are really great and being able to create lead views is a big plus. It's also nice to customize the toolbar so I can control what I see and what stays hidden. Overall, it feels like an enterprise-level CRM with a lot of capability.

Cons

Removing lead views is frustrating because they have to be deleted one by one. It can also get very, very slow at times and it would really benefit from a self-management tool to help free up space. I'd also like to see more personalization options. On top of that, it can be buggy now and then and the interface isn't the most user-friendly.

Flexible app marketplace

Pros

For the better part of the last six years, this has been one of those tools I can rely on to handle pretty much everything I need. The app store adds a lot of value too since it lets you extend the platform and get even more out of it beyond the core features.

Cons

Getting everything set up can be a little tricky and at times it's tough to stay on top of all the information and different accounts. That said, a lot of that usually comes down to user error more than the tool itself.

CRM that keeps us aligned

Pros

Hands down the most powerful CRM available and it has become essential for our organization. It's very simple to use and does an excellent job of keeping everyone aligned and on the same page.

Cons

Reporting can feel a bit tricky when you're just starting out but once you understand how it works, it turns into the most powerful part of the platform.

Reporting and support

Pros

Using it day to day has been very easy. The reporting is powerful, the customer support team is excellent, the training is really helpful and the user community is fantastic.

Cons

One downside is that a lot of the functionality comes as paid add-ons on top of the monthly subscription.

free Trailhead training

Pros

It covers just about every part of a CRM and also connects with apps and modules for lead generation, contract signing, client surveys, email, appointment scheduling and plenty more. The Trailhead program is an excellent resource for users, admins and developers who want to understand the platform better and the best part is that Trailhead courses are free.

Cons

Getting started can be a bit confusing because every company tends to configure it differently so knowledge from one workplace may not always transfer well to another.

Leading sales CRM

Pros

Right away, this platform proved it really can help grow sales by the kind of percentage it claims in its CRM messaging. That wasn't just marketing talk in my case. I used it at a software sales company and when I later moved to another software company that was using a competing product, the difference was obvious. The competitor honestly didn't compare. This system was clearly built by people who understand sales teams and what they actually need day to day. Lead creation and management, account management, opportunity tracking and the full sales process are all connected in a way that feels logical, useful and productive. A lot of parts of the sales cycle improve when everything is tied together this well and there are more benefits than I could reasonably list here. There's a reason it's considered a leader in sales CRM software.

Cons

I really don't have anything negative to add here. It's an excellent system.

Strong features but frustrating setup

Pros

It's a very capable platform. It includes most of the features you'd expect from a CRM and marketing system and has earned its place as one of the industry standards.

Cons

Getting started took far too much time and the company outsourced the setup and training while expecting us to cover the cost. What made it worse was that I still ended up handling all the setup work ourselves even though we had paid a contractor to do it. Since we were a very small startup, we were treated like small potatoes and didn't receive the same level of customer service and support that larger companies seemed to get. On top of that, during the sales process we were told the platform could handle mass email marketing but that capability really wasn't there. It took a huge number of workarounds to piece it together and even then it didn't function properly. The system would either slow down badly or send duplicate marketing emails which led to us being flagged as spammers.

Client management tools

Pros

Being one of the earlier options in the customer interaction space, this platform really shows its maturity. The integrations with phone systems, data tools and its full client management capabilities make it clear the product was built with a lot of real-world experience behind it. If your sales team is in constant contact with prospects and works through a long sales cycle, the investment can absolutely make sense.

Cons

This product definitely comes at a high price. There's also a noticeable learning curve when it comes to understanding the system and setting up workflows properly. In some cases, companies end up spending close to $100k to build out a more advanced process flow. That may not be typical for everyone but it does show that some of the more powerful features can be difficult to implement.

Visual tracking

Pros

Every salesperson should have a tool like this especially in a B2B setting. It does more than just track everything, it presents the information in a very visual way. That makes a big difference because you do not always have to dig into the raw numbers. A quick glance at your stats and activity is usually enough to understand where things stand. It also lets you manage everything from individual contacts to opportunities which is really valuable when you are trying to build and maintain a strong pipeline.

Cons

Getting comfortable with all the details and features of the software does take a little extra time.

endless customization

Pros

When it comes to CRM, this really feels like the standard others are measured against. The customization options are almost endless and help is always close by whenever you need it. There are tons of tutorials and demos through Trailhead which makes learning the platform much more manageable. Once everything is set up, it becomes very user-friendly and helps the business save time and effort while working toward sales goals.

Cons

Getting started takes time because the learning curve is steep. Contact deduplication can also be a hassle and anything beyond the out-of-the-box features usually means paying someone to build it. It also doesn't seem to fit medium-sized companies as well as some other platforms do. Another ongoing frustration is the split between the new and classic versions, not everything exists in both and having to switch back and forth can be pretty tough.

Customer insights build loyalty

Pros

One of the biggest benefits of this tool is how it helps build a genuine connection with customers over time while giving clear visibility into their preferences and needs. Being able to understand my clients' tastes, behavior and expectations has made it much easier to create strategies that keep them loyal to our services.

Cons

This application fits exactly what I need because it lets me manage and control my business from anywhere and at any time. By using it to follow up with clients, we've been able to recognize and even anticipate their needs more effectively. Thanks to this tool, we've been able to deliver a very high quality level of service.

Too many extra charges

Pros

The reporting is great and the system is simple to use.

Cons

Every little thing seemed to come with an added fee. Want to use it on your phone? That costs extra. Need support? That's another charge. It was also hard to figure out who to contact because we never had a direct person to call. Anything beyond the basic package meant paying for an upgrade. In the end, the price felt far too high for how little we actually got especially since we were never going to use all the extra features. We eventually switched to another option and have been much happier.

All-in-one cloud platform

Pros

Having Sales, Admin, Marketing, Accounts and Social Media fully connected in one cloud platform is incredibly valuable for almost any industry. It brings together major tools like Commerce Cloud, Analytics Cloud, IT, Data Cloud and App Cloud under one roof which makes the platform extremely beneficial for organizations.

Cons

It can feel a little complex when using the cloud platform on a regular basis but once you get used to it, it becomes very helpful for an organization's growth and development.

CRM for sales visibility

Pros

Across the organization, this CRM does an excellent job of letting teams view and record interactions with prospects and existing customers. It gives you the ability to track and report on nearly every part of the sales process and the full customer lifecycle which makes it incredibly useful.

Cons

Reporting tools could be more user-friendly. If you are not IT-certified or especially technical, it can take a fair amount of time to learn the platform and really understand how everything works.

Helpful pipeline guidance

Pros

Right from sign-up, the software walks you through the application with step-by-step guidance on managing your pipeline, increasing sales and keeping track of opportunities. It comes with a full set of features designed to help you reach your goals within a set timeframe. Another thing that works really well is the contact preview, when you hover over a contact, you can instantly see lead details and past activity without bouncing between pages. That saves time and makes it much easier to stay focused. The drag-and-drop option is also useful for organizing opportunities or contacts and prioritizing potential sales so you can stay on target and even go beyond your goals.

Cons

There are a lot of features and tabs, each with its own function so the platform can feel overwhelming at first. To really get the most out of it and produce results that align with your campaign sales goals, you need proper training and a great understanding of the tools. Having someone with CRM experience is a big advantage especially if you're trying to hit not only sales targets but also productivity goals like the number of contacts or opportunities handled per hour.
