Comprehensive CRM with pricing concerns

Pros

Whether your business is small or large and no matter the industry, this platform can strengthen the sales process and help boost ROI. It lets you create dashboards, monitor performance, generate reports and manage leads in one place. The mobile apps are also useful for keeping an eye on the business and sharing leads while away from the office. On top of that, it comes with built-in tools like chatter, custom apps and a self-service portal. It also makes it easier to organize tasks and stay on top of the pipeline.

Cons

One downside is the cost especially for smaller teams. The pricing can feel pretty high which may be a challenge if you are running a small business.

Handy case tracking hub

Pros

Having everything for our campaign in one place really helps. It lets me handle each case carefully and the timestamps are especially important when it comes to resolving them properly. Chatter is also a really useful feature in this app.

Cons

If you jump in without a tutorial, it's pretty easy to feel lost while using the app. Moving from one case to another can also be slow because it takes time to load.

User-friendly and reliable

Pros

Right away, the usability stands out. It's very user friendly and I can view key details about an account, contact or lead at a glance without constantly scrolling or clicking all over the place to find what I need. SF has been around for a long time and it still holds up really well.

Cons

My biggest issue is that SF still needs to catch up a bit by adding the ability to run cadences or sequences directly inside the platform instead of relying on a third-party tool.

Reporting and visuals

Pros

Getting started with it feels very easy, the data visualization is powerful and there are tons of reports you can create.

Cons

None at all, this is the best CRM tool I've ever used.

Centralized customer data hub

Pros

Having all of our customer details and interactions stored in one place is a big advantage especially across multiple companies and user roles. It also does a good job of limiting access so people only see the information relevant to them. Being cloud-based is another plus.

Cons

Getting the system to do exactly what we need can get expensive because the customizations and add-ons cost a lot. It's also fairly complex to work with.

Full CRM coverage and reporting

Pros

It covers all of our CRM needs really well. We rely on it to keep track of every customer interaction and the complete set of features gives us everything needed to manage those interactions properly. Another big plus is the volume of data it generates and the ability to build reports from that information.

Cons

Manager approvals can sometimes take longer than they should.

Bloated and time-wasting

Pros

I'm still trying to see how this software actually improves my workday or helps me get more done.

Cons

There are too many features that don't connect well with each other. Although it aims to offer a lot of detail, it often makes you enter the same information over and over again. I've yet to finish a session feeling like my time was spent productively or put to good use.

Sales tracking made easy

Pros

Getting started takes in a lot at first but the system becomes very easy once you spend some time with it. After the initial training and a bit of practice, using the software feels natural. You start to understand all the different functions, like reports, cases, leads and accounts and that makes the sales process much easier to track and manage.

Cons

The beginning can be pretty difficult and overwhelming. It takes training or some guidance before everything really clicks but once you get that help, it can completely change the way you work.

Handy client tracking

Pros

Having everything in one place makes it really useful for managing prospects and clients. It keeps a great record of emails, marketing materials that have been sent, meeting notes, uploaded files and other interactions so there's always a clear paper trail to look back on.

Cons

It can feel a little awkward because there are so many different features packed into it. At times it runs slowly and occasionally things are hard to locate because they seem to get buried among everything else.

Collaboration across departments

Pros

One of the things I appreciate most is how well it supports collaboration across different departments and team members. I've used it in a lot of different ways and it works well for everyone involved in a project, from the sales side all the way through delivery.

Cons

My biggest frustration is with the integrations. I've run into a number of situations where the integration we needed still wasn't available and even though it's been listed as "on the roadmap," nothing has happened for several years.

Flexible cloud access

Pros

Being cloud-based is easily the standout feature because I can sign in from any device, no matter where I am. Once the initial setup was finished, integrating it went quite well and after the team got familiar with entering data, maintaining the system became very manageable. It also does a really good job of helping keep customers from being overlooked, thanks to the useful prompts and notes sections that keep everything on track.

Cons

Getting a team comfortable with the software can take some effort especially with long-time employees who are used to doing things their own way. There is definitely a learning curve at the beginning and navigation can feel a little awkward while you're still figuring it out. That said, if you put in the time to learn it properly, the payoff is absolutely worth it.

Sales tracking keeps teams aligned

Pros

From sales activity to existing customer details, it keeps everything organized in one place. It's especially useful during bid management because you can clearly follow each stage of the sales cycle and see what has already been completed for a current account. It also does a really good job of preserving an account's full history within the company which makes handoffs much easier when a new salesperson takes over since all the past information is already there and tracked.

Cons

The downside is that sales reps have to stay very accurate and consistently involved when updating each account. That can take extra time on their end but it does serve an important purpose.

Integrations and flexibility

Pros

One thing that really works well is how it connects with other third-party software for lead tracking, email marketing and managing contacts all the way from start to finish. It also supports customized workflows which makes it really adaptable. The overall level of customization is excellent.

Cons

It can feel a bit tough at times and there is definitely a learning curve when getting started.

Data management hub

Pros

Across account management and sales, this software does a really strong job of storing company-wide information and cross-referencing it, including photos. It's a powerful tool when you need everything connected and accessible in one place.

Cons

Setting up new fields, automations and other customizations can get pretty complicated. If your team is larger, you may end up needing to bring in a business partner to handle those changes or hire someone internally to manage them.

Parsing tools and flexible fields

Pros

There's an impressive number of usable fields available and it handles a huge amount of parsing for both sellers and customers with very few limitations.

Cons

I do wish it included the kind of automation tools that competing platforms like HubSpot offer. Some parts also aren't as visual as what you get with tools like PipeDrive so getting a quick snapshot of the data often requires running specific reports first.

Real-time dashboards and sharing

Pros

Keeping track of employee activity in real time is very helpful and any updates or changes made to an agent's profile are reflected in a way that makes operations much more manageable. The reporting setup is really strong and it allows us to build dashboards for live visibility. Those dashboards can also be shared with anyone through the email feature and reports can be scheduled to go out automatically. It also supports integrations with other tools like AWS Connect and PureCloud and the customer documentation is simple to locate which is a big plus.

Cons

When building dashboards, it would be much better if there were more options to customize the size, layout structure and color coding.

Reporting and integrations

Pros

It covers just about everything. The platform connects with practically every tool and offers features for nearly any need you have. The reporting is especially impressive and gives you more insight than you could ask for.

Cons

Getting it up and running is very complicated. Setup, configuration and training take a lot of effort and you absolutely need a knowledgeable CRM admin to manage it. If you're hiring at a startup, I'd strongly suggest bringing in someone with prior experience because of how many resources it takes to learn and fully implement.
