Lead management platform

Pros

A big plus is the range of features built around leads especially for lead generation, management and qualification.

Cons

Getting comfortable with the platform takes some time and on top of that, the automation doesn't always work consistently.

Lead insights and segmentation

Pros

Lead management and segmentation are standout strengths here and the platform comes with a very wide range of features. Pardot also offers practical AI-powered capabilities that give sales teams smart insight into what is working and what is not across the sales pipeline. On top of that, the integration with the Salesforce marketplace and its many plugins adds a lot of value.

Cons

Biggest downside is the cost since it is extremely expensive and also tough to implement. Because the platform is so feature-rich, customizing it can turn into a massive project. That often creates heavy reliance on partners which adds even more to the implementation cost. The learning curve is also quite steep compared with other CRMs so sales team adoption can be hesitant.

Sales platform

Pros

What I appreciate most about this software is how simple it is to handle, along with how flexible it feels in different situations. It offers a wide range of options and applications and having access to the world's largest cloud platform adds even more value. Overall, it's an excellent tool for sales development.

Cons

Areas I appreciate less in this software are employee training, adapting it to the specific business it's being used for, the overall cost of the software and managing data protection within the platform.

Custom reports and simple navigation

Pros

Navigating the interface feels really easy which makes it simple to use and manage my work day to day. I also appreciate how much I can customize and tweak things especially when it comes to reports and getting a very detailed view of exactly what I need to see.

Cons

Honestly, I don't have any complaints. It really feels like it includes everything our organization could possibly need.

Dashboard and reporting

Pros

Getting around this CRM is incredibly easy and there's a wide range of customization options that let us build the dashboard the way we want. It also includes detailed reporting which helps us keep track of our activities very well. The dashboard can be customized so the tabs we use most often appear right in the navigation bar making access much faster. Another thing I've noticed is that the system stays responsive even when many users are on the same interface at once which says a lot about how great the platform and servers are.

Cons

The pricing is noticeably higher than a lot of competing products and customer support is also very expensive. That said, considering all the benefits it offers, the cost still feels justified. A few tasks can also be hard to complete because parts of the application are fairly complex.

Well-organized and versatile

Pros

Everything feels well structured and it integrates with multiple platforms which makes it very versatile to use.

Cons

Putting reports together can be a bit frustrating at times especially when trying to figure out which fields need to be dragged in. I end up spending more time than I should creating my own reports.

Feature-rich CRM leader

Pros

After working with CRM platforms for nearly twenty years, I've seen why this one has taken over so much of the market. There's a great reason for it, they keep rolling out new features, they actually build in capabilities users ask for and more recently their AI and automation workflows have made it the most complete option available by a wide margin.

Cons

The biggest downside is the cost. It's expensive to begin with and any customization you need adds even more to the price.

Customization for sales teams

Pros

Across business development, sales and account management, this feels like a core tool to have in place. It can be fully tailored to fit the way your business works which makes the lead conversion process much simpler and helps keep contacts, accounts and opportunities organized. The standard fields already cover what most businesses need right away and when you want to go further, adding custom fields and objects is pretty easy.

Cons

Report creation can feel a bit intimidating in the beginning though that mostly comes from how much functionality is packed into the report builder.

Outreach and scheduling hub

Pros

The scheduling and outreach tools have been the most useful parts for me. I can set reminders to follow up with prospects, look back at previous interactions and keep all my contacts and email addresses saved in one place. Being able to email them directly from the software is also a big plus.

Cons

There are so many features included that a few of them take more time to fully understand. Some of the newer filters and tools they added are still not totally clear to me although I'm sure they would be really helpful if I spent more time learning them.

fantastic tool

Pros

Overall, it has been an amazing update and honestly, I'd say it's the best major release since I started using the platform back in 2011. My favorite part is Lightning App Builder because it gives you a no-code way to build the UI while still offering a lot of customization without making things overly complicated. I also absolutely love AppExchange, Trailhead and the seemingly endless number of integrations that are available.

Cons

One thing I'm definitely not shy about saying is how little SFDC has improved its core reporting and dashboard functionality and interface. As an admin, this is one of the areas I rely on the most yet I still end up having to use outside reporting and data analysis tools, shout out to Excel, my ride-or-die, to get the level of analysis and reporting I actually need for my job. Einstein Analytics, formerly Wave Analytics, is a lifesaver but it's also a bit too expensive on top of the already very high cost of the base licenses.

Sales features that deliver

Pros

Right out of the box, it includes pretty much everything a sales team needs. The ability to customize workflows, quotes and reports is especially useful and with a bit of adjustment, the tool can be tailored to fit an organization's exact requirements.

Cons

There's still a noticeable gap between the Classic and new versions. A few features are only available in Classic which means users are sometimes forced back to that interface and it feels a little outdated.

Best product beyond sales

Pros

This stands out as the best product available right now and it really shouldn't be viewed as just a sales tool.

Cons

Getting the full value from the platform does take a certain level of expertise.

Strong workflow but frustrating UX

Pros

Workflow management tools are powerful and dependable and they handle day-to-day processes really well.

Cons

Using it can feel awkward and slow, the admin side is overly complicated and packed with bugs and the pricing is way too expensive for what it offers.

Simple accounting management

Pros

Getting comfortable with it didn't take long at all. The system is easy to use and very easy to understand and we only needed a few days of training to learn everything about managing accounts with it.

Cons

The part I liked least was moving data over from our previous platform. That process was difficult and it took about one to two months to transfer all of our data.

CRM with broad flexibility

Pros

Because it's the most widely used CRM in the world, bringing it into a new company is usually pretty easy since many sales teams are already familiar with it. It's also highly customizable and if you have a skilled IT team, you can build out and implement a lot of additional functionality. The AppExchange is another big advantage, with plenty of ready-made solutions available to buy and even some offered for free. Overall, the user experience is great and it comes packed with a wide range of features.

Cons

It's really built with enterprise companies in mind. To roll it out successfully, you generally need a dedicated admin or an experienced consultant because there are so many features and the system can be quite complex to learn. It also comes at a fairly high cost.

Flexible but tricky to navigate

Pros

This works really well when you need it and the customization lets you tailor the interface to match the needs of different companies across a range of industries.

Cons

Sometimes all that flexibility and deep customization can make it difficult to figure out which features are actually the right ones to use.

Shared database that delivers

Pros

Back when I was working in advertising sales, we relied on it for contact management and lead generation. Five of us shared the same database and the overall experience was very positive.

Cons

At times, entering data felt a bit too step-heavy. Even with that, we were still very pleased with how it worked overall.
