“Lead management and workflow”
Pros
From lead tracking and conversion to quote building, this software handles a lot really well. The reporting, calendar and cross-department communication all fit nicely into the workflow and it does a great job of keeping different teams aligned and moving efficiently.
Cons
Only area that feels a little less user-friendly is building reports and putting dashboards together. That may partly be on my end but I do think those features could be a bit more simple.

Being able to pull up past conversations, sales pitches and similar records whenever I need them is something I really appreciate.

“Detailed reports and flexibility”
Pros
One of the best parts is how customizable it is so it can be adjusted to match the company's specific needs. It also does a really good job of tracking sales with highly detailed reports which management can rely on to monitor performance and make sure targets are staying on course.
Cons
Sometimes the number of features can feel a bit overwhelming. It's also hard to work with offline since internet access is needed to update anything.

“Excellent for detailed sales searches”
Pros
When it comes to sales work, this tool fits really well because it keeps things very simple. The most valuable part is the customer search section which is very detailed and helps a lot when looking up information.
Cons
At times though, the system feels a bit heavy and slow. Because of that, it can delay the user's work a little.

“Powerful with lots of flexibility”
Pros
There's a lot this software can handle and it can be shaped to do nearly anything you need if you're willing to spend the time setting it up, testing it and then tweaking it again.
Cons
Using it feels a lot like buying a big Lego kit, you have to put almost everything together yourself and every extra feature seems to come with a pretty high added cost. Support is very limited, basic functionality takes a long time to arrive and only a small number of things actually work the way they're marketed. On top of that, you definitely shouldn't expect everything to be up and running on day one.

“Constant improvements and great experience”
Pros
It's been a really good experience using it and I've appreciated the steady improvements over time. The only thing I'd still love to see added is document sharing through Office Online.
Cons
Having Office Online document sharing, similar to how Google handles it, would make it even better.

“Versatile ecommerce solution”
Pros
The interface is clean and understated which makes the software very practical to use. It also adapts well when modeling either B2C or B2B relationships for selling all kinds of products online. Another plus is how easily it connects with other platforms like TalentLMS and WebCollect, helping us work toward our online sales goals more effectively. The 30-day trial is also a nice benefit although not every module is included during that period.
Cons
It is well suited for e-commerce sales and statistical reporting but the pricing feels fairly high for a small startup like ours especially when it comes to the Enterprise or Unlimited plans.

“All-in-one platform”
Pros
From sales and marketing to support and finance, this platform covers just about everything. It feels complete in the sense that you can plug practically the whole company into SFDC and run it from one place.
Cons
That level of flexibility comes at a cost. Since SFDC is basically a blank canvas, you usually need to bring in an outside consulting firm to customize it around your company's needs and that can become extremely expensive. A lot of SMBs end up stuck with the system because they've already invested so much that switching to a simpler, far less expensive CRM no longer feels justifiable even if it could do more for them.

“Automation and centralization”
Pros
One of the biggest strengths is the powerful feature set for automating communications, work assignment and case management. It gives large organizations a way to centralize both new business lead management and customer service in a single place. The integration with Vlocity works easily and the customer portal for online self-service transactions through Communities is also a valuable addition.
Cons
There is definitely a learning curve since users need specific training and the interface can feel confusing because of how many functions it includes. It also takes a significant amount of effort to manage and optimize system performance and speed. On top of that, the demos it provides are not always very realistic.

“Helpful from prospect to client”
Pros
It does a really good job of tracking a contact all the way from prospect to client which is one of the things we value most. We rely on it for both sales and customer service so having everything connected in one place has been very useful.
Cons
Interface feels like it could use a refresh. It also seems to take on too much at once and that makes the settings especially hard to navigate when you're trying to find exactly what you need.

“Results from day one”
Pros
Using this marketing cloud has been one of the most satisfying experiences. You begin seeing results immediately which helps you grow, measure progress and focus your efforts and projects where they matter most. It's also very adaptable and being able to use it on mobile is a real plus.
Cons
At times, it isn't very simple to use. The forecasting is accurate but it still needs improvement and should be made more easy when it comes to getting results.

“Modules and quick rollouts”
Pros
Right out of the box, it works really well and deployments happen fast. Its custom modules, along with the vendor-provided ones, are a huge advantage. The support and documentation are extensive and the frequent updates add even more value.
Cons
Cost is still a concern even with the noticeable drop in bulk licensing prices especially when it comes to sharing reports and custom dashboards with partners.

“amazing workflow and useful syncing”
Pros
The interface feels stable and the functionality really works well for what I need. It's fast to move around in and makes communication quick. The features fit the way our work is structured and align well with our requirements. We use chatters to keep communication flowing within the team and it also helps us identify and separate client cases and submissions. That has made our reporting much better overall. The integration with third-party applications is also very valuable. Our phone system keeps a record of all incoming and outgoing calls and we can transfer chat conversations into specific files when needed.
Cons
The biggest difficulty is getting reliable support because the system is quite complex. If you plan to use Service Cloud, the most important challenge at the beginning is finding knowledgeable support for the initial setup. Working with an accredited partner is the best way to improve your chances of getting proper help. Making use of the different available tools can also help a lot during implementation.

“Clean call tracking hub”
Pros
Keeping up with calls and troubleshooting was really well organized with this system. It gave us a clean way to document everything, review updates, track completed troubleshooting and keep all the contact and contract details in one place.
Cons
About the only downside that comes to mind, and it's not really a major one, is that the system does so much that there's also a lot to learn. With that many capabilities, there's always a chance of making a mistake in reporting if someone isn't fully familiar with it.

“Contact management for teams”
Pros
One of the biggest strengths for a small business is how popular and capable this software is. It handles contact management, task management, opportunity tracking, collaboration tools and customer engagement tools really well. It's also flexible and simple to work with.
Cons

“Reporting depth that helps”
Pros
After spending time with a competing product, I'm really happy to be back using this one. It definitely takes time to learn but even with average skills you can still build reports and pull data that other tools simply don't offer.
Cons
Using it can feel awkward and users need a fair amount of training before they can really get the most out of it.

“Customization powerhouse”
Pros
The customization is the biggest strength. You can build pretty much anything in it and it works just as well for something very simple as it does for a much more complex setup.
Cons
A downside is that a lot of the standard objects feel limited in what they can do so you often have to create custom objects to replace them. That comes up with things like tasks, leads and contacts, contact roles and similar areas.

“Versatile and highly customizable”
Pros
Getting started with it is very easy and it comes with a broad set of customization options that can be adapted to just about any organization's needs.
Cons
At the beginning, the learning curve was fairly steep when it came to understanding how all the pieces worked together. It's worth considering third-party implementers or reaching out to similar organizations for help during the initial setup.
