Helpful quote tracking hub

Pros

Keeping up with new business quotes is much more manageable with this tool and having everything stored in the cloud, including documents, is really convenient. The screen layout can also be customized to fit how you want to work which makes it even more useful.

Cons

At times, the customization options feel a bit restricted and some of the more advanced features aren't the most user-friendly. Its strong dependence on the cloud can also be a drawback especially during downtime.

Clean reports and reliable performance

Pros

Interface is clean and easy so it's easy for just about anyone to understand. There are plenty of options for creating and modifying reports which makes the platform very flexible. It's also reliable and runs efficiently.

Cons

Without training, the platform can feel overwhelming at first because it offers so many powerful features and options.

Cloud CRM ecosystem

Pros

There's a huge range of features built in and it really feels like the number one CRM solution out there. The community around it is also a big advantage when you need support or advice. Being fully cloud-based is another plus and App Exchange gives access to third-party solutions that help cover even more needs within the platform.

Cons

To meet the specific needs of our school, extra development is still necessary. Implementation is not simple at all and it can take years before you end up with something truly powerful that fits your requirements. Users also need a lot of training before they can work with it effectively.

Helpful tasks and reminders

Pros

Having everything in one place has been really useful especially being able to create tasks, keep track of events on the calendar and set call reminders.

Cons

Pulling information from the reports was difficult for me. I ended up needing help from IT to extract the data I needed from the system.

Campaign deployment tools

Pros

During campaign deployment, this worked well because it brings together different deployment software functions in one place making it possible to build and launch a campaign efficiently. I used it across a variety of campaigns that were going out every day and that flexibility was definitely valuable.

Cons

The part I struggled with was SOQL. It takes some time to get used to and it is not exactly the same as SQL. It also comes with limitations around GROUP BY and certain aggregate functions which can be frustrating.

Client interaction tracking

Pros

Our CRM moved up a level with this powerful platform. It not only helps us keep track of client data but it also gave us the next piece we needed, a way to create a structured container around client interactions. From there, we were able to take things further by adding events and tasks into those containers. That's something competing products simply weren't able to provide us.

Cons

New version has been frustratingly slow when it comes to adding basic features that were already available in Classic, like recurring events and assigning an event to more than one team member. That really needs to be fixed.

Worth the onboarding investment

Pros

Paying the onboarding fees is absolutely worth it with this tool because it really needs to be set up the right way from the start. Over the past 6 years, we've had to relaunch SF around 6 or 7 times and fixing it later ended up costing us about 10 times more.

Cons

At this point, the Classic version really needs to be phased out and everyone should be moved over to the newer Lightning experience.

Well-built pipeline and Outlook sync

Pros

Keeping contacts organized is very easy and the project/opportunity pipeline is structured really well. It makes it simple to pull stats on open and closed deals and stay on top of their status. The integration with MS Outlook also makes email tracking quick and convenient.

Cons

The MS Outlook plugin did crash around 8 to 10 times over the 3 years we used it which was a little frustrating.

Customizable solution with member tracking

Pros

One thing that really stands out is how customizable this tool is. It does a very good job of tracking member activity and the built-in messaging and communication features work really well. It also helps a lot with building sales and marketing in the industry. Overall, it's a great piece of software, offers good value for the money and I would definitely recommend it to other users.

Cons

My only concern is that some of the functionality is not very easy and there are a few limitations in the way the system works during certain parts of the process.

Sales lead tracking delight

Pros

Keeping up with sales leads, business data, documents and customer interaction history feels much more organized with this software and that honestly makes it a pleasure to use.

Cons

At this point, I don't have anything negative to mention since I've been using the software.

Flexible cloud ticketing solution

Pros

Being cloud-based takes a lot of hassle away since there's no deployment or infrastructure needed on your side. It also comes with a free developer portal which is really helpful for learning the platform. The issue management setup works well too, users can raise tickets and assigning and tracking them is pretty easy. On top of that, the system is highly customizable.

Cons

There is a bit of a learning curve before getting comfortable with it because it belongs to a completely different domain although that's not really unusual for software like this. The UI can also feel slightly slow at times but that's somewhat understandable considering the amount of back-end processing happening in the background.

Customization and training

Pros

There's an impressive level of customization in this platform. It can be adapted to handle just about anything, as long as you work within their development guidelines. The documentation is also excellent and Trailhead makes it much easier to train administrators without needing a lot of extra effort.

Cons

Biggest downside is the cost. It's very expensive, pricing seems to change frequently and the only real way to reduce the per-license price is by increasing the number of licenses. On top of that, there aren't any clearly advertised fixed costs which makes it feel like the sales team can charge pretty much whatever they want.

Automation and analytics

Pros

Automation and analytics are the biggest strengths here. They really help on the admin side by making it simpler to maintain the application and manage the different end users who depend on it to support business needs.

Cons

Its biggest downside is the complexity. Some tasks can be difficult because the application itself is built in a fairly complicated way. When using it for the first time, certain procedures were especially hard to follow.

Cloud CRM platform

Pros

This feels like a state-of-the-art SaaS cloud computing platform. It delivers fantastic CRM capabilities by letting businesses connect with customers and partners through cloud-based access.

Cons

Downside is the cost especially for plugins and pay-as-you-go features that need to be purchased separately. It also takes up a lot of memory space.

Helpful queues and Jira integration

Pros

Queue setup makes it simple to stay on top of user emails and pass them between teams when needed. The Jira integration is really useful and having a place to store email templates is a big plus.

Cons

Template search could work better since it doesn't always return the most useful results. It would also be better if inserting an article into an email from the knowledge section could add the hyperlink to selected words instead.

Confusing admin and cluttered UI

Pros

There's basically a way to accomplish almost anything with it, as long as you're willing to deal with the complexity of figuring it out. Another plus is the people behind it, for the most part, were excellent. I came across support and team members who were knowledgeable and genuinely helpful.

Cons

Administrative side of the platform was really bad. I've worked with it at three different companies and at the most recent one, we were a startup using their lowest-cost version. Because that cheaper tier removed a lot of the admin functionality, it became incredibly confusing to manage. Even setting up a simple automation to send an email automatically felt far more complicated than it should have been. Overall, the interface is just overloaded and unnecessarily complex.

CRM features that deliver

Pros

Packed with features and it's easy to get up and running for basic contact, account, lead and opportunity management. It also makes it simple to track activities across all records, including logging calls, emails, calendar events and other interactions.

Flexible and modular CRM

Pros

The modular setup, flexible configuration and relatively easy deployment are big advantages. It can handle almost anything you need in your environment, depending on your license level and how much coding support you have.

Cons

It's also one of the most expensive CRM options out there. Out-of-the-box deployment is challenging so getting it fully ready usually requires some development work, whether that's done internally or by an external team.

Search tools for everything

Pros

I rely on it every single day to keep my work organized. It's where I store my meeting notes, account history, contacts, health notes and plenty more. The best part for me is the search feature. When I need to find something specific in meeting notes I wrote a long time ago, I can usually pull it up right away just by entering a few keywords in the search bar.

Cons

Lately, we've been getting up to speed on CPQ for tracking opportunities. It's definitely been a lot to learn but the long-term value makes the effort completely worthwhile.
