Helpful features and quick training

Pros

Right away, the features and overall usability make this software approachable. New team members can get up to speed on it pretty quickly and whenever questions come up, there's always help available.

Cons

Even though it's generally simple to use some of the more advanced features can still be confusing for new sales reps. It also seemed to be changing all the time which had both upsides and downsides.

Reporting and visibility

Pros

Running this at the startup I worked for, it felt very powerful for what we needed. The reporting was really useful and the visibility features made it much easier to keep track of what was going on.

Cons

The biggest downside was the price. It ended up being far too expensive and since nobody was really using the extra features, we were paying much more than we actually needed to.

Feature-rich but overly complex

Pros

There's pretty much no shortage of what this platform can handle. It covers just about anything you'd realistically need, comes with a massive range of features and gives you a lot of room to customize it however you want.

Cons

Getting it set up and managing it has been one of the most complicated and obscure experiences I've dealt with in a system like this. Even the newer interface still feels unattractive, confusing and overly complicated.

Strong CRM presence but awkward fields

Pros

As a CRM platform, it remains one of the most recognized and successful options available and it's clearly a leader in the market. The interface is well designed and it offers a wide variety of information sources which adds a lot of value.

Cons

There are some inconsistencies in how certain attributes function and that can push you into building a custom solution for something that already exists in the standard setup. A good example is that some built-in fields don't let you assign a default value. When that happens, you end up creating a custom field with the same name just to get the functionality that should already be there.

All-in-one team essential

Pros

Across our team, this is easily the most essential software we rely on every single day. It brings together everything account managers, sales executives, campaign managers and operations need to successfully forecast incremental opportunities, handle client forecasting, set up and report on campaigns and stay connected with teams across the globe. That all-in-one functionality is exactly what makes it not just important but truly irreplaceable.

Cons

Even with all of its strengths and valuable features, there's still room to improve by adding more automation to make the platform feel even more convenient. Because the system is flexible and often configured as needed with a lot of different nuances, stronger automated functionality could really take it to the next level. Automating workflows, team communications and handoffs between departments, along with more advanced AI learning to better analyze potential leads and quickly prioritize high-value deliverables and opportunities, would make a big difference.

Sales pipeline hub

Pros

After using SFDC for a long time, Sales Cloud still feels like a very powerful CRM hub. It can store a huge amount of data and makes it possible to keep track of your pipeline, dashboards and lead progression in real time, whether you're on your phone or using the web version.

Cons

At the same time, the app clearly feels like it was built in pieces and that shows. There are too many unnecessary fields so even with the newer version's UI, it can still feel overwhelming. I'm also not a fan of the fact that the system doesn't autosave as you work and sometimes you have to click save for a single field instead of just having edits saved while you type.

Helpful daily task tracking

Pros

Keeping up with daily tasks is much simpler because they show up right in my task bar as they come due. Without that, I'd probably lose track of who I need to email, call or follow up with on specific dates.

Cons

One thing that bothers me is not being able to customize my main page the way I want. It's already set up based on how my company or the system has configured it so there's not much flexibility.

Self-taught and user-friendly

Pros

Getting started with this software is very easy and it doesn't take much training to figure out. It's something you can pretty much teach yourself and learn to use without much difficulty.

Cons

There's still quite a bit of manual updating involved and it doesn't handle changes well when people leave their jobs or move to different workplaces. It also has a bit of an outdated feel when you're using it.

Fast, reliable and easy

Pros

Using it has been really simple from the start. It handles a lot of automation, the interface is very easy and the website runs fast. During the time I've been using it, we've had almost no downtime at all.

Cons

My only issue is the comment section where we communicate with requesters. I'm not a fan of the forum-style back-and-forth there and would much rather have a comment section more like Facebook's.

Modern and user-friendly workflow

Pros

Day to day, I rely on this program to manage tasks, documents, contacts and reports. It's user friendly and customizable which helps different roles quickly get to the applications they use most often.

Cons

It has recently rolled out some updates and I'm genuinely excited about them since the platform feels more modern and interactive now.

Great for sales operations

Pros

There's honestly almost nothing it can't handle. We've even started using the billing system now. It's become essential for sales engagement, pipeline tracking, forecasting, relationship management and a lot more.

Cons

At times, it feels like you need a Salesforce degree to get certain things done. Figuring things out can definitely be challenging.

Features for sales teams

Pros

There are tons of built-in features and they're easy to use and put into practice. Adoption has also been pretty high even among users without a technical background which is especially important for sales teams.

Cons

At the beginning, navigation was a bit hard to figure out so it can feel overwhelming for new users until they become familiar with where everything is. The per-license pricing also feels quite expensive. Even though the cost makes sense considering how many features are included, it still comes across as pricey.

Essential sales tool with a learning curve

Pros

Every day, this tool helps me stay on top of the different leads I need to contact. It's useful for keeping track of ongoing activity and also for prospecting by checking potential leads. Everyone on the team can use it and that's something essential for me in sales.

Cons

My only real issue was getting started with it. When I joined the company, I wasn't trained on how to use it so it took me a while to get comfortable with it. Now though, it's become something I really can't do without.

Customizable reporting tools

Pros

One of the biggest strengths is how completely customizable it is. We were able to tailor the software to fit our company's specific needs really well. The drag-and-drop file upload feature is a nice touch and tracking a lead's status through the pipeline is very easy. Reporting is amazing and incredibly detailed and exporting everything to Excel for additional analysis is simple. You can also build reports using pretty much any field that contains data which makes the reporting side especially powerful.

Cons

The accounting features weren't a favorite for our company so we ended up relying on a different tool for that part of the business. Our Business Development team had a bit of a learning curve with it too although we were still able to make it work. Pricing is also on the higher side especially for companies that need a lot of customization.

Reliable and always improving

Pros

It has been a really positive experience to use this software. I'm very satisfied with how well it performs and it's clear they keep updating it and making improvements on a consistent basis.

Cons

Honestly, there isn't much to complain about with this software. Most of the problems I run into are usually related to my server rather than the software itself.

Practical and useful tool

Pros

Using this system has been very practical. It's very easy to use and gives us a useful tool to track and report on the company's performance.

Cons

The app works well overall but I'm unable to download the PDFs and it's still missing a few features for mobile use.

Customer insight and teamwork

Pros

This feels like the kind of platform every organization needs. It keeps you very close to your customers and gives you enough information to handle projects with confidence. Working with colleagues is also much simpler thanks to the integrated features which makes collaboration flow really well.

Cons

Getting comfortable with it at the beginning is quite challenging. It's not something you understand immediately and it takes time to fully learn how to use it well. Still, the more you work with it, the better you become at mastering it.

Built-in features and simple rollout

Pros

Right out of the box, the built-in features make this software very easy to use. Setting up the sales process was simple and deployment was not difficult either. As long as you choose the right partner for the implementation, the whole experience goes very well.

Cons

For more detailed insights, you may still need to depend on another reporting tool. Also, the dashboards only let you use 3 filters at the same time.
