“Free multi-site analytics convenience”
Pros
Having one platform to manage analytics for multiple websites is really convenient. The integration process is simple too and the way it lets you drill down into the data works well for understanding where website traffic is coming from. Plus it being free makes it even more appealing.
Cons
One concern I had was with the WordPress plug-in. It didn't feel very secure to me and after dealing with multiple hacks, I ended up removing it from my sites. I still need to look into that issue further.

“Deeper customer behavior insights”
Pros
Google Analytics 360 has given our team much richer data insights and a more efficient way to collect information which has been really useful in shaping our overall marketing strategy. The advanced website tracking lets us dig much deeper into customer behavior and better understand how people are interacting with our site. It is easily one of the most valuable tools we use for analyzing customer data. The platform is also fairly easy to work with at a basic level, though it can become much more involved when you start building advanced reports and dashboards.
Cons
While the interface is well designed overall, things can start to feel a bit confusing and complicated when setting up advanced features that need customization for your organization's specific needs. In those cases, extra training or outside support is often necessary. Plus the learning curve can definitely get longer depending on how complex your analytics setup and reporting requirements are.

“simple report navigation”
Pros
One thing that really works well with Google Analytics is how it offers multiple report types for specific metrics like demographics, page views and more, all organized in a way that's simple to move through inside the app.
Cons
Getting started with it was challenging because setup, understanding the platform and implementing it properly took a lot of tutorials and self teaching.

“smooth google product integration”
Pros
Powerful analysis tools, customizable dashboards and tight integration with other Google products make it simple to work through large datasets and uncover meaningful insights.
Cons
It can feel very complex which may be hard for smaller credit union teams that don't have dedicated analytics staff or technical support.

“Faster more customizable data”
Pros
Upgrading to this version gave us a higher data limit and much deeper audience tracking. Plus the dashboards and reports are more customizable and the data comes through faster and in a much better way for analysis.
Cons
Pricing is the biggest downside. For enterprise use especially in larger organizations, the cost jumps quite a bit, so we had to seriously weigh whether it was worth it. In the end we felt we needed it since our competitors are already using it.

“Handles large traffic easily”
Pros
One thing that really stood out was how detailed the data is, along with how well it handles large volumes of traffic without any trouble. The connection with other Google tools is especially powerful and makes decision making much more informed and practical.
Cons
It takes some effort because the learning curve is steep and it can feel confusing at first. The interface is not always very user friendly either, so finding certain reports can sometimes take longer than expected.

“Effortless free website addition”
Pros
This is a very user friendly tool and the fact that it is free makes it even better. Adding it to a website doesn't take much effort and plenty of platforms and services already support it out of the box.
Cons
One downside is that it is often blocked by browsers or privacy extensions. Also a custom-built tracking solution usually goes unnoticed and is less likely to be detected by blockers.

“Still actionable despite restrictions”
Pros
Even with tighter data restrictions limiting how much information comes through, Google Analytics still provides actionable insights. It continues to be an essential tool for marketing analysis and lead attribution.
Cons
The interface can be a bit confusing and I often have to look up how to find the specific data I need.

“One place tracks everything!”
Pros
It gives you one place to track everything happening on your website. Setting up an account is quick and you can start seeing interaction and conversion data without much delay.
Cons
This software is not very user friendly. You almost have to take an entire course to use it effectively, otherwise it's really hard to understand what you're looking at.

“Better options available”
Pros
Google Analytics is uesr friendly enough to navigate and pull the data you need. Also learning it doesn't take long and there is still room for configuration and customization when needed.
Cons
Honestly Universal Analytics was much better. GA4 hasn't been very good since the beta days. Reports that were simple to pull in UA now need custom report setups in GA4. On top of that a lot of GA4 data is sampled, so you have to request unsampled data or move everything into BigQuery which feels like a cash grab.

“Very capable analytics platform”
Pros
It is a very capable analytics platform for tracking our site's performance and analyzing the traffic coming in.
Cons

“provide detailed search insights”
Pros
Compared with other tools out there right now, it provides much more detailed information about Google search activity and overall online user behavior.
Cons
At this point it has become pretty complicated and difficult to fully understand what's happening especially since there are data gaps when users opt out of cookie tracking and choose not to share their information.

“Essential marketing visibility tool”
Pros
it has become my go to tool for measuring website performance and tracking how well our web campaigns are doing. Overall it is an essential part of our marketing efforts and gives us the visibility we need to understand results.
Cons
It comes with a huge range of features which can feel overwhelming at first and there is definitely a steep learning curve. So to really make the most of the data and insights, you often need someone with real expertise.

“powerful insights but expensive”
Pros
When it comes to tracking customer behavior at scale, the level of depth and customization is hard to beat especially if that kind of detailed analysis really matters to you. The integrations with Google Ads, BigQuery and other essential industry tools are on a different level compared to most alternatives. Plus it gives you a very detailed view of how people interact with your website, what parts of your SEO are actually bringing them in and how the overall picture comes together through all those small behavioral data points.
Cons
That said the cost is high and it's clearly built more for enterprise teams than for individuals or small businesses. The learning curve is also incredibly steep. It may seem at first like you can just jump in and instantly access every insight you need but getting real value out of it takes a lot of effort. Once you finally understand how to use it properly, it's excellent but getting to that point can be both expensive and draining.

Pros
Google Analytics 360 comes with a wide range of features and detailed reports that give you a deep look into your website traffic and audience, while also delivering the analytics needed to manage and optimize your site more effectively.

“Reporting excels with traffic”
Pros
Reporting is the best and it becomes even more valuable on high-traffic websites where Google Analytics tends to perform better.

“free but hard to keep up”
Pros
There is not a lot to praise here beyond the fact that it's free to use. That said some of the data it provides did encourage us to make efforts to improve our website.
Cons
Properly managing and navigating the system takes a significant amount of time. Google also seems to keep changing the requirements and as a small business, it's been difficult for us to stay on top of it.

Pros
This tool gives us incredibly valuable insights into both our Shopify store and our mobile app. Overall it is such an industry standard tool that I honestly cannot think of any business that isn't using it.

“Dependable and handles sampling”
Pros
One thing that keeps me using it is how dependable it is. It also does a great job with high-level website metrics and works well alongside our ad tools. The app handles sampling much better than the clunky browser experience.
Cons
Where it falls short is understanding how people actually behave inside the product. To get a clear picture of that, you really need to pair it with something more event-driven.

“Useful visitor metadata shapes strategy”
Pros
A quick check in Google Analytics gives us useful visitor metadata that helps shape our campaign strategy. We rely on the data it provides quite a bit and it often points us in the direction of what to do next.
Cons
In the beginning it used to feel pretty difficult. After using it for years though it became much more manageable and now the only real challenge I can think of is that initial learning curve.
