Having the operations and accounting systems tied together is a big advantage for us and the drill-down feature makes it quick to connect directly to the source details on both the operations side and the accounting side.

Sometimes the programming seems built around a single scenario and doesn't fully handle more complex situations. For example, when a carrier changes factoring companies and payments need to be split between the previous and current factoring company at the same time or when there are multiple drivers assigned to one charter load. The financial statement setup could also be better organized by letting multiple offices appear separately on the financials while still showing a grand total which would give managers overseeing several offices better visibility.

“Broken driver pay”

More than a year later, the driver pay still doesn't calculate correctly. Because of that, we're stuck spending extra time figuring out pay manually and the historical records in PCS haven't been useful at all. We've submitted several support tickets about it but none of the supposed fixes have actually resolved the problem.

At least it offers a slight step up from working out of an Excel spreadsheet.

The pricing really doesn't match what we actually got from the system or what it's capable of compared with other providers. Reporting is very limited and customizing reports to include everything needed is nearly impossible without running several different versions of the same report. It also doesn't scale with a business well and isn't adaptable enough to support growth-focused needs or future demands.

After more than 6 years with PCS, I can report that it has consistently done the job well. Thank you!

Every now and then it shuts down unexpectedly. When I'm working from home over Wi-Fi, it will occasionally close out on me.

On the company side what I like is that the first-person workflow works really well and the integrated platforms are decent overall.

Where it falls short is on the customer end. It doesn't connect very well for customer use and the customer-facing platform is honestly pretty poor.

Well I've noticed that the system, most of the time assumes a single scenario instead of accounting for multiple possibilities. For example, when a carrier switches factoring companies, payments may need to go to both the previous and new factoring company at the same time, but the software doesn't always handle that smoothly. Another issue is with charter loads that have multiple drivers. It does not always account for them properly. Financial statement organization could also be improved. For now, it would be really helpful if multiple office locations could be viewed separately while still displaying a grand total for managers overseeing them all.

Everything from dispatch to maintenance and accounting is available one place which makes everything our work way easier.

I failed to get an accurate reading of miles driven according to ELD for payroll, and overtime calculations are never fully accurate.

I feel like the cost doesn't match what the system delivers or what it's capable of, especially when you compare it to other service providers. One of my biggest frustrations is the reporting as there's just not enough flexibility. Plus the system has very limited options for pulling or customizing reports, so I often have to run multiple variations just to get all the data I need. On top of that, it doesn't really scale with a growing business. It is not adaptable to meet the needs of a company thats expanding, which can be pretty limiting in the long run.

PCS TMS is easy to use. I have been using PCS for over six years and it has always worked well for me.
