I'd like each record to show driver payroll and my gross amount directly instead of having to add it up myself.

It's still pretty early for me to judge since I've only been back to using it for about a week this time.

The driver compliance screen really should show the driver's DOB. I also wish the screen could be resized because it feels too limited as it is. On top of that, it logs people out unexpectedly or freezes multiple times throughout the day.

It keeps everything organized in one place even if the system itself isn't the most user-friendly.

Cons

A lot of basic tasks take 3 or 4 extra steps to get done which makes the workflow frustrating. On top of that, the quarterly pricing has climbed so much that it just doesn't feel worth the expense anymore. If I had the choice again, I definitely would not go with PCS. We've already spent over a hundred thousand dollars and the costs are still ongoing.

Their layout is convenient and getting around the system feels very natural.

Cons

Every now and then the system runs into issues and when that happens I'm stuck waiting for technical support because I can't really do anything until it's fixed which costs me valuable time. I also wish duplicate loads were flagged not only when they're in dispatched status but even when one has already arrived and been invoiced since that would save a lot of time and money.

There's room to store a large amount of information in the system which is definitely one of its stronger points.

A big problem in my eyes is that most of the integrations don't function the way they should.

After shutting down the business at year-end, we were basically pressured into paying for another full year of service just to keep access to our own data and run the reports needed for tax filing.

It covers every part of running a trucking operation without needing to connect a bunch of other software which is a big plus.

Any kind of response or delivery confirmation when invoices are sent through the PCS system is missing right now. If a customer says they never got the invoice, there's no way for me to verify that it was actually received.

Switching our users over to PCS went fairly well overall and the training videos have been quite useful for helping people get up to speed.

Cons

It would be much better in my opinion to have a Direct Deposit option that doesn't force us to go through your system since we had to create our own workaround. The payroll limitations are also frustrating because they don't let every deduction and reimbursement be shown separately.

It has helped speed up and simplify our invoicing process. Diamond support is also a big plus because they usually step in quickly and help resolve issues fast.

Cons

A number of missing features are holding back our operational efficiency. Driver settlement PDFs still need to be adjusted manually to show the correct pay type since options like paid by ton or bushels aren't available. Mileage also continues to appear on settlements even though we specifically chose not to include it. The QuickBooks integration is inefficient, custom reporting is a nightmare to deal with, the training videos are outdated and the dispatcher mobile app is far too basic.

The system is user friendly and the driver app works well for receiving loads.

Unfortunately it isn't very fast. Also, in my opinion, it would help to have more color options to highlight specific lines or loads especially when you're entering hundreds each week and need certain ones to stand out more.

Pros

After 20 years of using PCS TMS, I've seen the platform add a lot of functionality and it now does an excellent job tying everything together. The workflow from order entry to dispatch and then into accounting is very well integrated across their full product line. For fleets with more than 5 units, I would definitely recommend this software.

Cons

Pricing is simply too expensive for a small fleet. We recently downsized to just 2 trucks and it still requires a minimum of 3 users which makes the monthly cost unaffordable for us. I would prefer to remain on their platform but their pricing makes it pretty clear they are not targeting the very small fleet segment. After 20 years with it, I'll have no choice but to leave the platform at the end of 2023.

It does a solid job of keeping all our important details recorded and the customer support team has been awesome whenever help is needed.

PC Miler does not always work, load notes are not consistently captured properly and the system could use more options. Creating batches for driver payroll can also be a problem and the imaging feature does not always work since image uploads sometimes fail.

The software is very user friendly. It's simple to learn and didn't take us long to get comfortable using.

Cons

Some important features that other software options include are still missing here. The 1099 setup is especially frustrating because everything has to be entered manually which makes the whole process more difficult than it should be.

It works well for what I need and the features I use every day are great. Getting around the system is simple which makes it pleasant to use.

Having everything in one system is really useful especially since it lets us track multiple functions in a single place.

Outdated and hard to work with. It comes across like a massive Access database and finishing a task often takes a lot of backtracking.

Tracking down the load a driver was dispatched on is simple when I'm working from the paperwork they send in. The table-style layout also makes the information clear and practical to review.

PODs/BOLs get compressed when they're uploaded as JPG or JPEG files which lowers the image quality.

It's okay to use but there's not really anything outstanding I can say about it. It could definitely be better especially since we've run into so many problems over the last couple of weeks.

The training materials haven't been very helpful and it would be much better if we had a representative come by and check in with us but that hasn't happened.

From the home page to everything else, the system is simple to understand. The basic functions are pretty self-explanatory and training our employees on how to use them doesn't take much effort.

Pulling reports can be difficult and we often end up having to contact customer service to get help running certain ones.
