“Simplifies training”
Pros
The full accounting module has been a big advantage to us. It's easy to use and getting the rest of my team trained on it doesn't take much effort.
Cons
A few important features aremissing and the integrations don't feel fully complete yet.

“reliable TL tools”
Pros
This platform has been a solid part of the system for us. The LTL side does an okay job with our consolidation needs and the accounting functions work well from what I use. I'm not handling the accounting tasks myself but the information I need is easy to pull and readily available.
Cons
This is not really a problem caused by PCS itself but I do wish the LTL platform were designed more around consolidation. Right now, we have to use several workarounds to get the system to match the way we operate.

Pros
Compared with the system I used before, reporting here is much less frustrating. Most of the time, I can quickly locate whatever information I need through the reports.

“very user-friendly navigation”
Pros
The platform is very user friendly and is simple to navigate which makes my work much more convenient.
Cons
At times, the notifications get turned off on their own and there doesn't seem to be any clear reason for it. It can cause problems for me.

“extremely difficult integration”
Pros
After nearly 10 years of using PCS in our brokerage, it's become a familiar system for our team and that definitely helps. It does a solid job of keeping track of our loads and the tenders and invoices are laid out in a clear, understandable way.
Cons
Trying to integrate PCS with our other software was a complete headache. It took months to get everything working and even after that, it ended up creating more work than if we had just stayed with the other platforms. The whole process made things feel much more convoluted than they needed to be.

“easy navigation”
Pros
This platform is user-friendly and simple to navigate. It also helps that customer service is available to us whenever needed.
Cons
Since we're a local harvest trucking company, I'd really like to see more features built specifically for local hauling instead of having so much geared toward long-haul operations.

“user-friendly workflow”
Pros
For me the biggest advantage is how simple it is to use without feeling overly complicated. The workflow makes sense and everything runs together really well so every day tasks feel smooth.
Cons
The way information is displayed could be better. It works fine but the overall look and feel comes across a bit outdated.

“Useful order entry and compliance”
Pros
Order entry, aging flags and compliance tracking are all really useful and work well for our operations.
Cons
A solid way to track invoice changes is missing. We need to be able to monitor that especially seeing who made edits, when they were made and why.

“single application for entire business”
Pros
Having everything in a single application has made a big difference for us. PCS TMS lets us track, report on and manage the entire business in one place and it also brings all of our other software vendors and data partners together on the same platform.
Cons
A few processes and modules can feel a little slow to get used to at the beginning and there are still some areas where work-arounds are needed from time to time.

“Clear statuses”
Pros
Placing a bid on a load is very simple which makes the system pleasant to use in my opinion. Start and stop confirmations are also simple to enter and the TMS provides plenty of status information to keep everything visible.
Cons
Accounting reports aren't the simplest to generate. Also, when there's a problem with picking up or delivering a load on time, the only option available is "carrier issue" and that doesn't always fit the situation.

“Convenient integrated accounting”
Pros
Having the accounting built into the system in one place has been a big plus and PCS also offers a variety of partners to work with. Another thing I really appreciate is that PCS keeps rolling out ongoing updates.
Cons
The reporting could be stronger, along with some of the fields used for tracking information. It was manageable when our company was smaller but now that we've grown, it doesn't fit our needs as well. Working across different platforms is also becoming more important since more customers want their data integrated.

“Too many glitches”
Pros
PCS TMS works as an all-in-one system and covers just about everything you need, whether you're running a small fleet or managing a much larger one. The layout is organized and it comes with a lot of really useful functions.
Cons
At the same time, it has frequent glitches that make day-to-day work frustrating. Emails will randomly stop sending through the system and when I send an update to a driver, it can reset the entire load along with all previous updates. It also freezes regularly and sometimes shuts down in the middle of work which causes lost progress. Another ongoing issue is that it no longer fits properly on my full screen. For the past few months this has been happening on every computer and no matter what troubleshooting we try, the mouse pointer is still off so clicks do not land where they are supposed to. Support has also gone downhill in a big way. It used to be simple to open the chat, explain the issue and get either a fix or at least some kind of workable accommodation. Now the experience is terrible. No matter what problem I bring up, the response is basically that it is someone else's fault and there is nothing they can do. I honestly do not understand what support is there for anymore. When I ask to speak with someone else, I get ignored and when I mention looking into cancellation options, that gets ignored too. The support has been awful and has become a major reason for my dissatisfaction.

“powerful TMS capabilities”
Pros
After PCS acquired UltraShip TMS, the platform still kept the strengths that made it valuable in the first place. I appreciate that it remains user-friendly, with strong order management, shipment creation, route optimization, reporting and invoicing features all still in place.
Cons
Since it took over UltraShip, customer service has dropped off dramatically. They have not done a good job of hiring and training support staff who actually understand the software. As daily users, we still run into occasional bugs and other issues. Previously, support tickets were addressed and communicated clearly within a reasonable timeframe but now progress and communication have become so poor that we have to sit through biweekly meetings just to get status updates. On top of that, carriers are charged to connect to the TMS through EDI and that fee has gone up by 250% under PCS. More recently one of our carriers told us they had already paid and then sent 6 emails over 2 months asking for setup updates and every one of those messages was ignored by PCS support.

“expensive user additions”
Pros
Cutting out the paperwork has made a big difference and we're able to send invoices much faster now.
Cons
Adding just one more user is far too expensive. There's a setup fee, plus a huge jump in price to move up to the next tier for a single extra login. They also don't seem very familiar with liquid bulk or the legal requirements we have for commodity descriptions. Our QuickBooks integration issue still hasn't been fixed after more than a year and we keep hearing that it's waiting on the developer. There's also been a lot of staff turnover.

“saved us time and money”
Pros
Training my staff and carriers on it doesn't take much effort because the system is pretty user-friendly. Since putting it in place, we've grown quite a bit and there's no way we could manage this level of volume without it. It has saved us both time and money and we now have much better control and visibility over our operations.
Cons
Support has declined a lot and that's been incredibly frustrating. Issues that used to get fixed in 15 minutes a few years back now take multiple follow-ups and can drag on for weeks. We've also had enhancement requests sitting in the queue for years.
