“Customer NO Service”
Pros
Aplos is easy to learn and fairly easy to use. For a church, it is easy to automate contribution letters.
Cons
There is virtually no customer service anymore. You call the support line and are immediately hung up on, the only way to get "support" is to submit a ticket and wait some indeterminate amount of time for an email from a help "bot" who is not at all helpful. A software company can have the greatest software available, but it is only as good as its software support team in the end. This is a big fat ZERO from me.

“Donor management system works well”
Pros
The donor management side works well. It lets you keep a full database of donors and set up household connections which is helpful.
Cons
It promotes itself as the top church accounting software but the donation processing part which is a church's main source of revenue, is really disappointing. Entering donations into the system and getting them into the accounting records takes several separate steps and none of it connects properly with the bank integration. The contribution statement area is also very limited when it comes to filtering. For instance, there's no way to generate a report for acknowledged or dismissed contribution statements. It makes those fields feel pointless if they can't actually be used. On top of that, the email template can't be saved so it has to be rewritten every single time a contribution statement is sent.

“simplifies nonprofit accounting”
Pros
It makes nonprofit accounting feel much more user-friendly especially for someone who is new to accounting overall and to nonprofit finances specifically.
Cons
the report names do not always line up with the terms my accountant uses so I sometimes have to spend extra time digging around to figure out which report matches what they are asking for.

Pros
It has been a really strong solution for our foundation accounting and bookkeeping needs. The layout is simple to handle and it gives us all the accounting reports we need. Considering the price, it offers outstanding value and is hard to beat.
Cons
Honestly I can't think of anything I dislike. I've already brought it into two different organizations I'm involved with and it has worked well in both.

Pros
Getting around this software is very simple. It offers plenty of features to work with yet the interface still feels clean and not crowded with unnecessary items on the screen.
Cons
Having so many features is helpful for larger companies or churches but many smaller churches probably would not use all of them. It would be better if there were smaller package options for churches that do not need the full set.

Pros
This system has the potential to unite community stakeholders for fundraising efforts effectively. The integration between the donor database and the accounting GL works quite well. Despite being a low-cost option, I'd hesitate to recommend it due to its poor customer support.
Cons
Dealing with Bill.com's customer support has been frustrating due to their lack of competence. Often, I end up spending a lot of time explaining issues that they should already understand. Their online reports also frequently yield incorrect data, and they refuse to temporarily hide these reports until the issues are resolved, displaying arrogance rather than helpfulness.

“Aplos Great Product Unfortunately Overpriced”

We initially adopted Aplos for its accounting features, finding it direct to set up and align with our church's accounting practices. It's easy to record donations and entries in one consolidated place. Moreover, the customer service has been consistently excellent.
Cons
Over time, Bill.com has gradually removed or restricted features, pushing them into higher-priced tiers. Basic functionalities like budgeting and user access now come at a premium, even though many of the added features are irrelevant to our church's needs.

Operating with a very small team, Aplos' ease of use enables efficient bookkeeping, budgeting, and financial analysis for our nonprofit. Their prompt customer service is always responsive, and the tags function simplifies tracking service to our partners.
