Cons
When using it for all of my Outlook contact management, it's cumbersome to consistently remove the same people from a contact export for email campaigns (like competitor contacts).

I admire that it is embedded in Outlook. It's flexible enough to design the screens in a way that makes sense for my company to track case development through to a sale.
Cons
When I send an email from Prophet, it doesn't automatically go into the email section of the file we created in Prophet. I then need to link the email to the file, which takes too much time. We have 12,000 cases active in the system, and it takes a while to load.

It works well when updated, is relatively intuitive, and has many updates. The customer service and training are excellent.
Cons
I need a more intuitive search function as I'm always forced into advanced search mode to find contacts and companies in my own database. It needs to have a contact database outside my contacts for easier use in sales prospecting and contact sharing by company of the entire Prophet database.

I like that it communicates well with Outlook (when the connectivity works).
Cons
There are delays when I search for opportunities. For example, when I delete a prior search term, the system has to pull up the whole book of opportunities each time, causing a lag. The "save and close" button can sometimes take up to 25-30 seconds to recognize the mouse click.

Prophet CRM is a great way for everyone in my organization to be on the same page regarding the different files we all handle.
Cons
Though useful, the system is very slow compared to managing a diary using Outlook's calendars. The extra time it takes to load or open a case deters people in our office from fully embracing the software. Another recommended improvement would be for the created tasks to link back to the Prophet case entry. Currently, when I input "next action" and then put in the next step date, it creates a task for that user, but when the task is altered to update the due date, it is not reflected in the Prophet case manager.
