Makes getting paid harder
Pros

I signed up to submit and track invoices for a client, and initially thought it was a good system. However, it has been three months, and I am still waiting to get paid. It's great for credit control of the customer but not so much for the supplier.

Cons

Submitting an invoice proves to be quite challenging. Also the format rules seem impossible to meet, and the user guides provide contradictory instructions. For instance, attachments must include the word "attachment," but invoices get rejected for both including and excluding that word.

Essential & Market Leading P2P Tool
Pros

The user interface is intuitive, and the code base is solid with very few bugs or unexpected behavior compared to other solutions. The workflow management is detailed and clear, greatly enhancing efficiency in invoice processing. The reusable templates for recurring tasks and automatic three-way invoice matching with minimal human intervention are excellent features.

Cons

It lacks in-platform guides for various tasks, and having the option or feature to export invoice images would be a valuable feature. The price is on the expensive side, and user support needs improvement, especially for a sophisticated platform like Basware. Additionally, there are rare instances where the platform freezes for users.

Basware is a very good Invoice Processing tool, but could be better
Pros

One aspect I love is the option to send invoices for automatic processing and match them to their respective purchase order (PO) numbers. The invoice scanning feature proves to be quite useful in this regard. Additionally, the data extraction functionality provides all the necessary items for running in-company reports.

Cons

Usually, it takes around 24 hours for vendor data changes to reflect in the system. Only one session can be open at a time, restricting the processing of multiple invoices simultaneously. Moreover, the system can be sluggish at times.

Great tool for processing invoices
Pros

Basware serves as a tool for processing payable invoices. It allows me to upload invoices, input the accounting string, and transfer them to our ERP system. It integrates seamlessly with Oracle Finance, which is a significant advantage. Processing invoices is relatively easy and requires adherence to the four-eye principle. The application also enables adding attachments, notes, and facilitates communication regarding the invoice within a single platform, eliminating the need for email or external communicators. Overall, my experience with this application has been really positive.

Cons

The purchase order processing is not optimal, particularly for companies with a high volume of purchase orders. It operates slowly and lacks intuitiveness, prompting the consideration of alternative applications.

My daily accounting software that I can recommend
Pros

As a Basware superuser in my company, I am very familiar with this software, specifically in the procure-to-pay (P2P) process. It is easy to use, and one of its highlights is the ability to code invoices quickly and effectively. My favorite feature is the "invoice history," which provides a comprehensive view of the entire invoice history and any potential errors that may have occurred.

Cons

One aspect I dislike about this software is encountering unexpected errors occasionally, requiring me to close and reopen Basware.

One stop shop for your services
Pros

I am a service provider for government organizations and we needed to use this software to upload our catalogue of offerings. To our surprise, other companies and organizations can also book our services through this system, making it a centralized platform for commissioning public services. It has simplified the process of organizing our services in a central system accessible to anyone interested in booking with us.

Cons

The registration process has several loopholes, and the overall appearance and user experience could benefit from updating and remodeling.

Accepting expense invoices
Pros

Basware greatly assists our finance department in efficiently handling the acceptance of purchase invoices. It also proves to be useful for line managers in their tasks.

Cons

Basware software design prioritizes the professional accountant's needs but overlooks the line manager responsible for accepting invoices. A simpler user interface for non-administrative users would be welcoming.

Basware use for approving invoices
Pros

Basware has made the review and approval of invoices convenient, easy, and fast. All invoices are stored in one place, facilitating seamless streamlining, and we can automatically route them for approval from person to person.

Cons

Rejecting an invoice can cause confusion within the back end. When an invoice needs to be rejected, one of our Basware administrators receives a notification and must manually remove the invoice from the workflow.

Easy to Use but light on functionality
Pros

It's quite easy to use, and teaching other employees how to use it is not a complex or time consuming process. Overall, it's accurate and doesn't require constant jumping from one screen to another like other invoicing programs.

Cons

The lack of customization options or advanced functionality is disappointing. Reports often lack crucial details that are readily available in other programs. As a result, we quickly discontinued using this software.

Easy to Use and Great UI
Pros

Basware dashboard is immensely helpful and visually appealing. I love how the software displays all the content and makes it easy to find what I need.

Cons

I find that some contents in the graphs and reports are unnecessary. It would be helpful if these contents could be removed or if customers had the authorization to customize them according to their preferences.

Pros

Cons

Easy to use
Pros

Basware technical support is excellent. They actively listen to ideas for software upgrades that cater to our specific needs.

Cons

I have highlighted this suggestion many times, they should link the work order request number directly to the actual work order, just as they do when creating a purchase order from a request.

Pros

With each update, the product keeps improving, and the support from Verian is exceptional. They possess the resources and expertise of a large company while maintaining the accessibility of a smaller organization.

Cons

While there is an abundance of documentation accompanying each upgrade or system improvement, it can be overwhelming at times. A more simplified explanation or guide would be beneficial in certain situations.

We love Verian!
Pros

We have been using an older version of the Verian - Purchase Manager module for years and are now evaluating the latest version for full implementation across multiple geographic locations. Their staff delivers excellent customer service and demonstrates true expertise in their provided products. The significant benefits of using this product include its fantastic, user-friendly interface, flexible workflow for complex approval routing, and the ability to integrate with other legacy systems to centralize data capture and reporting. If you're unsure, I highly recommend considering Verian.

Cons

I have no concerns.
