worst customer service I ever come across

Pros

Once I get it set up properly for labels it works well okay. I use it for printing ingredient labels for my products and date codes for ingredients.

Cons

Their customer service is the worst I have come across anywhere. I keep emailing and calling but they never actually resolve anything or follow through on what they promise. Not a single problem has ever been fixed for me even though they have happily taken thousands of dollars from my business.

digital checklists replace paper logs

Pros

Jolt's digital checklist feature is very capable letting my team ditch paper logs and move to electronic workflows that keep full audit trails and clear accountability. This helps us cut down on errors and avoid missing steps.

Cons

One drawback I notice is that the auto-scheduling options are weak or missing so I or other managers end up having to manually adjust shifts and make changes instead of the system suggesting optimal schedules based on availability or demand.

Team checklists work but app runs slowly

Pros

I really liked the checklist feature. As being able to have several team members work on the same list at once made our daily store opening run much more smoothly and consistently.

Cons

Unfortunately I ran into persistent lag and frequent connection problems. Also the app itself works slowly which made working through the lists really difficult and time-consuming.

temperature checks are not an issue now

Pros

It is easy to check temperatures on items and the whole process is really fast. Also I like that the device connects via Bluetooth means I can easily control it from my phone.

Cons

Keep in mind that the Bluetooth performance varies by what device I am using and it is not always reliable. As sometimes I face connection problems.

peace of mind with reliability

Pros

With Jolt I can make sure the team stays focused on health inspection duties and that reliability really puts my mind at ease because I know they are regularly completing and double-checking specific tasks as required.

Cons

They already offer a wide range of checklist templates and features but I still wish the system allowed for deeper personalization to better fit our exact needs.

Improved task organization and accountability

Pros

Using Jolt really improved how I organize tasks and made sure companies actually took responsibility. It also made managing my time a lot easier.

Cons

Excellent for daily operations and monitoring

This is an excellent tool for handling the team's and the wider organization's daily operations. Also it allows me to monitor each employee's progress on specific tasks making micro-scheduling feasible and it attempts to deliver near real-time feedback to managers so they can act quickly.

Cons

The pricing is quite high much more than many competitors and customer support could be a lot better. Still I find the tool valuable and worth considering.

Useful for multi-location operations

Responsive support, real person answers

Pros

The customer support at Jolt has truly impressed me. As they're consistently responsive. Believe it or not when I call, a real person often picks up the phone if they're available and my emails always receive a prompt reply within a reasonable timeframe.

Cons

No complaints as it's been an excellent fit for our needs and has worked wonderfully for us. Recently the company has expanded and like many people I find change uncomfortable as several familiar faces have moved on. Still the newcomers who have stepped in are doing a great job taking over those important roles.

excellent support team when needed

Pros

After getting through the initial setup, I have notice the system is easy to use. Also the product support has been excellent as the team is responsive and Mia in particular has been incredibly helpful alongside her colleagues.

Cons

I ran into quite a few issues with the last update because of a storage-related problem but support team stepped in to help resolve things and I appreciate their assistance.

Enhances efficiency

Pros

It eliminates the need for paper versions of recording temperatures and other required tasks in a restaurant, making them more detailed. It enhances accountability and accuracy from employees. I can create lists, print date labels, or even create other labels. It's a technological advancement, and I would recommend other fast-food restaurants use this great tool!

Cons

Overall, it was a pretty great experience for me, but the amount of information I had to learn at the beginning felt overwhelming. With the training, I eventually got the hang of it.

Great sensors, customizable checklists

Pros

It offers way more features than we currently use. The Digital Food Safety modules especially with the cooler and freezer sensors is very easy to set up and use. We also rely heavily on the Shift Management checklists. As the default lists are excellent and being able to customize and create new ones helps us tailor the platform to our workflow. As one of the first McDonald's locations to use Jolt, we've always been happy with it. And whenever we have a need or concern, the team treats it as a priority. Plus our local Chicago rep, Ryan Witek has been an outstanding part of their support team.

Cons

There is not anything I dislike about the company, its products or the staff. We only know what we know until something unfamiliar comes up and whenever that happens the team steps in and works to find the answer for us every single time.

Love their customer service

Pros

Jolt is extremely customizable and easy to operate! I use it for our hourly inspections, daily and weekly cleaning tasks, damage claims, repair requests, preventative maintenance, recurring team surveys, and tracking lost and found items. If you manage a team in a task-heavy environment, Jolt is essential! If you suspect a task is being pencil-whipped, you can change the task type to require a photo or scan a QR code for proof of completion - amazing! They constantly add new features and improve existing ones.

Cons

Because it is so customizable, I found there was a significant amount of setup required. They have a great support staff who worked closely with me to teach me what I needed to know and get my most important lists built out. I've been working with Jared, and he is amazing! Even months after purchasing, I can schedule time on his calendar, and he will answer any questions and help me find a solution!

Saves my time

Pros

Jolt checklists make it super simple for us to maintain location compliance and ensure we stay updated with requirements. It notifies us if checklists are not being conducted on time, and it allows us to construct our own in-house checklists to keep a digital record of important items.

Cons

There is nothing to dislike about Jolt. If I have any questions, there is a designated support specialist assigned to assist me, and if not, anyone from the support team is always more than happy to help.

My customer support rep was amazing

Pros

Jolt overall is a great product. Setting up the labeling system is easy and quick. The information library is clever, downloading files locally so users can access them quickly and conveniently without waiting. The list functions are great as well. But the highlight has to be their onboarding team, especially their team, our customer success contact. He answers EXTREMELY quickly, is patient, knowledgeable, and very efficient. Anytime we hit a wall or need help, he's quickly available, very meticulous, and honestly, without him, we might have given up on Jolt.

Cons

The overall initial lift that Jolt requires before reaching a usable state is high for me. There are some UI features that don't yet exist within Jolt that they are working on, which would make the experience simpler. Although these are small things that will eventually be solved, they have a great feedback function that alerts the DEV team to what things can be improved.

Remotely monitor tasks across locations

Love sensors and email notifications

I really love the sensors and the email notifications because they make monitoring so much easier for me every time.

Dedicated point of contact keeps informed

Pros

One thing I really value is having a dedicated point of contact who knows the system inside out, answers my questions promptly and proactively keeps me informed about all new updates and changes as they roll out.

Cons

Sometimes I feel that several of the reporting features could be simplified there's just too much data presented in a way that limits usefulness. I'd find it much more helpful to access many of those metrics at an organizational level rather than having to view them restaurant by restaurant.

Best interface, fantastic support team

Jolt offers such a user friendly, easy to use interface along with a ton of extra capabilities which is why I consider this software the best out there on the market. Transformed food safety from paper

Pros

Not long ago our restaurants were still handling food safety checks with pen and paper so the shift to Jolt technology in the past few years has truly transformed how we carry out the most important audit in our business such as the safety and quality of the food we serve. Speaking for our organization, we've been very thankful for such an easy-to-use platform and for the daily emails that give a clear status overview of all nine of our restaurants. I also lead a McDonald's Corporate team across Southern California and all of us really value this partnership we're looking forward to watching the relationship develop and seeing what improvements come next.

Cons

If I had to point out one area for improvement it would be the wifi. At a few of our store locations the internet connection isn't as fast as we'd like and that can sometimes slow down Jolt or any tech making parts of the food safety process take a bit longer than usual. We've found several workarounds to minimize the impact and while this isn't a flaw in Jolt itself, it's one of the few hurdles we deal with now that this technology is implemented across our restaurants.

Remote follow-up, customizable lists

Pros

Being able to follow up without having to be physically onsite is really helpful and our CSM brings great expertise. I appreciate that lists can be customized, the initial setup was completely supported and I received extra admin training whenever I needed it.

Cons

I jokingly refer to it as 'tablet tapping' because it can feel like pencil-whipping. We've run into technological problems that sometimes slow down our operations, although our CSMs do their best to fix things once they're made aware. Finally, I find it frustrating that you cannot customize the McDonald's form.

Improves overall productivity

Managing operations is smooth now

Jolt has made communication and resource-sharing so simple! I can send instant messages and targeted notifications to either the entire team or specific groups with just one click, making it incredibly easy to keep everyone informed. I also really appreciate the ability to share crucial files, like manuals and policy updates, and track who has received and read them. Having everything centralized on one platform means that I no longer worry about missed communications or outdated resources, everyone has access to exactly what they need, when they need it.

Cons

The app is very glitchy. I've had to redownload it a couple of times to get it to work again.

User-friendly for any of our employee

Pros

There are many positives such as what I appreciate most is how user friendly it is since any employee at any level can learn the backend, figure out how to use it and access reporting.

Cons

The support team is lacking. As it was difficult to get in touch with anyone though it's improved over the past five months.
