“assign tasks, monitor progress easily
Pros
One thing I really like is being able to assign particular tasks or lists to individual employees. I find this makes it easy for me to monitor how projects and our employees daily duties are progressing at the plant.
Cons
I am annoyed that I cannot directly export or output the data collected from Jolt lists. I assume your developers are working on a solution but personally I'd love to see that capability added because it would be extremely useful.

“Loves labeling and checklist tools
Pros
I am a big fan of the labeling and checklist tools as they make this an incredible resource I rely on.
Cons
Honestly I cannot think of anything I'd change as the system is amazing and meets my needs perfectly.

“Temperature alerts saved inventory
Pros
I have temperature sensors in every one of my freezers and they send me alerts whenever temperatures go outside the acceptable range. That functionality has stopped my inventory from partially melting more than once. Often I can call into the store and begin troubleshooting the problem before any staff members even realize something is wrong. The alert settings are also totally customizable which helps a lot. On top of that, handling staff schedules, time-off requests, shift swaps and similar tasks is pretty easy in Jolt. Best of all, all the owners and managers can log in and use these features, even when some owners live in other states.
Cons
While not every feature is present in the Android app, that hasn't been a major issue for me because I can always open my phone's web browser and access everything I need without any real hassle.

“Great checklist simplicity and design
Pros
The simplicity of creating checklists and label databases for all types of kitchen tasks, like safety and quality inspections is great and I love easy it is to use in practice. Definitely a fantastic platform and design.
Cons
Personally there isn't much about Jolt that I dislike. Yes occasionally the timing and scheduling layouts are confusing to organize but once I get the hang of them they're still fine.

“Notifications boost accountability
Pros
We really value the accountability the notification system brings it makes it easier to track tasks and ensures things actually get completed when multiple shift leaders are on duty at the same time.
Cons
At first I found the content creation process pretty confusing and I would love to have the option to add list items that recur on varying schedules so that certain tasks only appear on specific days for example, have a line item show up only on Mondays.

“Photos and comments help track issues
Pros
I have found it's a fantastic way to boost accountability because it lets our team confirm they're completing daily checklists and audits. I also really appreciate being able to attach photos and add comments when I need to explain or dive into specific discrepancies as those visuals and notes make tracking issues much clearer and more helpful.
Cons
There isn't much I dislike but I do feel the interface could be more user-friendly as here there's definitely room for improvement in the overall design.

“built-in flexibility for configurations
Pros
When I configured Jolt, we were required to enter numerous questions and list multiple possible responses, each paired with values for every response option. I liked that Jolt provided that kind of built-in flexibility in the application.
Cons
I noticed limitations, like how many photo examples could be added to an audit. I wished there were side-by-side clear visual examples of ideal state versus unacceptable condition.

“To-do lists are not phone accessible
Pros
The thing I love is how using lists lets me organize my work and actually finish tasks more efficiently.
Cons
I have noticed I frequently forget to check the to-do lists and they aren't available on my personal phone which is frustrating.

“packed with the best scheduling tools
Pros
For both administrators and frontline team members I find this platform extremely easy to use. One thing I love is the ability to attach photos or short job aids right to checklist items that really speeds up training and clarifies expectations. The scheduling tools are similarly user friendly so managing time-off requests, shift swaps and schedule updates has become much less stressful. On top of that, the logbook feature helps my whole team stay on the same page by letting us post concerns or incidents and build an ongoing comment thread.
Cons
Android support is still a work in progress and I notice it performs best on Apple devices right now. The Android apps have been improving steadily but in my experience they still feel a bit sluggish at times.

“Great date-code labeling and checklists
Pros
What I like most about Jolt is how multifunctional it is. The software handles several important tasks really well. The primary feature I rely on is date-code labeling. In the food service world, that capability is essential to make certain we're serving items inside their hold windows and properly tracking product shelf life. On top of that, Jolt gives me the tools to design very detailed checklists to make sure routine tasks are completed and to hold team members accountable. Having those two features together manages operations, reduces mistakes and helps with training so staff only need to learn a single system.
Cons
A frustration I have is the limited ability to customize checklist items more deeply. Although the wide range of response options for checklist entries is handy, you cannot modify those options further in the way I need. For instance, it would be ideal to have one checklist item that lets me choose in-compliance or out-of-compliance and then immediately capture a short-answer corrective action all within that same item. At the moment I end up creating clumsy workarounds that interrupt the flow.

“can view entire schedule at once
Pros
The various display views are helpful and that I can view the entire schedule all at once.
Cons
For me the recurring task setup is frustrating because it forces fixed dates instead of letting me choose which tasks should appear on a specific day if that makes sense. I find the repeat scheduling doesn't always fit the unpredictable nature of my business.

“custom checklists ensure consistency
Pros
I really appreciate having customizable checklists that I set up for my team to follow and tick off. They end up searching for the exact items I would look for during a manager's walkthrough which helps keep consistency.
Cons
Right now, I am not a fan of the scheduling tool. That said I am still pretty new to it and haven't experimented with it much so I haven't given it a fair shake yet.

“scheduled tasks, easy list creation
Pros
What I like is the scheduled tasks feature and how easy it is to create new lists.
Cons
Unfortunately, I cannot delete a list once it's created if the app let me remove lists that would make this platform perfect.

“Everything at our fingertips
Pros
With JOLT everything is literally at our fingertips such as scheduling, to-do lists and even staff appraisals are easy to access. I find the operations team can push information to other departments with a single click which really manage communication. Having tried a wide range of other platforms in past jobs, I am inclined to say JOLT outperforms them all. And on the rare occasions we run into technical problems, the JOLT support team replies quickly and is consistently very helpful.
Cons
If I had to point out one shortcoming with JOLT, it would be that the mobile app behaves differently from the iPad app. For example, I cannot open files on the mobile version which is frustrating when I am on the go and need immediate access to documents that work fine on the iPad.

“app updates don't sync often
Pros
What I appreciated most was being able to swap and check schedules, along with managing time-off requests and my preferred shifts. Overall it was a really big plus.
Cons
Sometimes the mobile app feels finicky and difficult to use and I notice it doesn't always show updates made in the main app.
