Solution to our billing woes

Pros

Zuora's usage-based billing structure posed challenges for us, but Ordway understood our struggles and proposed a setup that precisely meets our needs. Our invoice timing has shifted from the third week to the first, and we're preparing to integrate Salesforce and our usage data. The interface is intuitive and straightforward to grasp.

Cons

While some reporting features are still under development, Ordway offers a flexible custom reporting module that meets most of my needs. They've also added several reports we use to their upcoming reporting updates.

Flexible billing system that can handle complex pricing structures

Pros

Our business model involves dynamic pricing tiers based on employee count and assets managed, which change frequently as we scale. Syncing our systems with billing operations is no longer a concern. Given our rapid growth and high volume, managing this manually would be impractical. Thanks to Ordway, we've streamlined our processes significantly. Their customer success team efficiently handled historical data and contract configurations, enabling us to go live in weeks rather than months.

Cons

Initially, the reporting dashboards and functions didn't quite fit our business model, though they've improved over time. While direct integration with our accounting system wasn't available initially, uploading CSV files has made it easy to keep both systems synchronized. Full integration is slated for this year (2019).

Cons

Like any new product, there are additional features we'd like to see. Ordway has rolled out many new features since I started using it, and they've been responsive to my feature requests, either implementing them or suggesting viable workarounds.

Very happy with switch to Ordway

Pros

Managing accounting treatments for our complex business was a challenge. Ordway consolidated our recurring subscription fees, installation costs, usage charges, and professional services into a unified platform. Now, revenue recognition templates automate what used to take hours, allowing me to focus on strategic priorities.

Cons

Transitioning from Recurly, which had a very user-friendly UI, took some adjustment to Ordway's platform. However, they're receptive to feedback, and we've already noticed updates.
