“Game-changing expenses software
Pros
Before I started using Pleo, managing expenses was a real pain and very time-consuming. Setting up users on Pleo is easy, allowing me to set limits quickly, and the virtual cards make it simple to get people started right away. The visibility of spending is fantastic, and the nudges to add receipts save me a lot of time.
Cons
Pleo's feature for fetching receipts from my email inbox is great, but it doesn't always work perfectly, so I still have to find the receipt manually. It'd be great if this was more reliable.

Free budget version, easy to use, and integration with accounting software.
Cons
The price per user above the basic plan is too high. Uploading expense pictures is not convenient; I can't cut or modify receipt photos. There's also inconsistency between the app and desktop versions.

I live with the uncertainty of whether my funds will be loaded onto my card. Customer support is awful, and they just tell me they can't help. Even though I've transferred money to them, it doesn't always get loaded to my card, and they tell me, 'We will just have to park this investigation for a few days.' Please find an alternative card. That's what I'm doing now, having been left almost 'fundless' for three days and having to keep sending more money in the hope that it gets loaded, but so far - nothing.

I found it incredibly easy to implement. The software is very intuitive with a great design.
Cons
They've started implementing some great features that don't work properly and end up being unreliable. Uploading from my phone, rotating expenses, and using analytics are useless if I use more than one tag. Some exports have appeared with blank pages instead of the ticket. The plastic cards couldn't be activated, and I faced payment rejections without notice or alternatives.

It has significantly reduced the amount of time we spend on generating expense reports.
Cons
I pay as an administrator for every company and don't use a card for Spain and Germany. The approval process isn't great because people sometimes forget their phones.

Being part of a remote, fast-growing company means I need to remove blockers, try tools, be independent, and manage my own setup, all of which require good expense management. I was terrible at this before (hello, Excel Spreadsheet) until I discovered Pleo. Pleo changed my life for the better, no more headaches, no more finance team asking about the latest invoices, no more manually monitoring spending, and no more long review processes. Pleo has been so helpful that I can't imagine managing my professional expenses differently now. Highly recommended.

Pros
Nothing is likable. Maybe the cards arrived fast, but since they don't work properly, I wouldn't count that as likable either.
Cons
They lose documents, don't keep promises, and have unsecured workflows. When they say 1-2 days, it actually means weeks.

I love that it can be an app on my phone. It's perfect for work travelers because I can grab a coffee or lunch and snap a photo of the receipt, no more paperwork. In the office, we make online purchases and take a photo of the email confirmation as the receipt. It's immediately logged and coded.
Cons
I'd like to be able to use the app for payments instead of carrying the card with me.

Pros

“Takes the pain out of expenses
Pros
It's so easy to use and upload receipts. The best part is that once that's done, the Finance team takes over, and I don't have to fill out any more claim forms. I was terrible at doing them and often had 2-3 months' worth of expenses building up. Now, I'm up to date daily, and my finance colleagues are much happier with me!
Cons
I can't think of anything bad, to be honest. It really has revolutionized the way I keep on top of expenses.

It's easy to distribute company cards, set allowances, and track spending. It automatically handles the accounting aspect since invoices are tied to spending.
Cons
As a user of the tool (primarily their mobile app), I find it really easy to attach invoices to my spending. I don't have any bad things to say about the application.

Pros
The app is laid out so simply. It's incredibly easy to navigate. I love the notifications every time I make a purchase, so I always know when receipts are expected. Uploading receipts is easy, and monitoring purchases for fraud is simple due to the notifications. Customer service is quick to reply and eager to assist. Freezing and unfreezing cards is effortless. Highly recommend. I love submitting photos instantly rather than holding onto several paper receipts all the time.
Cons
My organization has not given us enough categories to choose from or categories that are understandable when purchasing. I've taken this up with them. The software itself is amazing.

“Pleo Automates Just What I Need
Pros
Accounting used to be a headache, but Pleo takes out a big chunk of what used to drive me crazy. It's perfect. It tracks everything and provides exactly what I need. I couldn't ask for anything better.
Cons
The setup for Pleo is a little confusing. I guess it has to be, dealing with financials and everything. But, a few more hints or a walkthrough could have made me feel a little less dumb.
