Keeps our business organized

Pros

Creating invoices, pulling in bank feeds, tracking expenses and generating accurate financial reports all work really well. It keeps our business organized and saves us a lot of time.

Cons

The integration with Jobber could definitely be better. The sync isn't always reliable so we end up spending too much time manually fixing and matching information.

Nonexistent support

Pros

Can't find any positives to mention here, it's been a bad experience and support is basically nonexistent. I spent an hour on the phone only to realize the call was really about trying to upsell me. Overall, just bad.

Cons

It's not affordable for small businesses anymore. If you have the desktop version, they push you into switching and the cost is just too high.

simple to print checks

Pros

Writing and printing checks is very simple and the online version has been really convenient for working back and forth between our office and accountant.

Cons

I still prefer the look and feel of the desktop version. The layout in QuickBooks Online doesn't feel quite as user-friendly to navigate.

Reasonably priced for our nonprofit

Pros

Running payroll and keeping our financial records organized has been incredibly helpful with this tool. Everything feels very simple to use and whenever something comes up, the support team is responsive and simple to get in touch with. It's also priced really well for our nonprofit which makes it an even better fit for us.

Cons

The only real drawback for us is the workforce app. We'd really like to see better scheduling and time-tracking options for our team.

Organizes client records

Pros

It makes it simple to handle sales orders. Creating estimates, sending invoices, adjusting payments and posting them all works really well. It also does a good job of keeping client records organized and accessible.

Cons

The system is user-friendly for tracking and posting payments, running transaction and aging reports, setting reminders and adjusting payment types when needed. I don’t have any complaints.

Consistent accounting

Pros

Most of the accounts stay balanced and the system generally works reliably overall. A lot of the recent updates also seem to have made several processes better.

Cons

It keeps changing and new features are being added all the time. I'm not a fan of the new interface.

Cons

Far from user friendly now

Pros

Back when it was simpler and actually user friendly, it worked well for me. I started using it in the 1990s, when the company seemed to care about keeping bookkeeping simple for the average person.

Cons

At this point it feels like the most difficult and least user-friendly bookkeeping system ever. Even the most basic tasks are so confusing now that you practically need to take a class just to figure out how to do anything in the new version.

affordable option for managing cash flow

Pros

It has been a very user-friendly platform for handling accounting, budgeting and invoicing. It's also an affordable option for managing cash flow and keeping up with financial reporting throughout the year.

Cons

Feels professional

Pros

The setup feels professional especially with the connection to an accountant and bookkeeper. There's also a starter plan for small businesses that was reasonably priced when I signed up which made it a practical option at the time.

Cons

Submitting returns directly through a portal isn't possible which is frustrating. It also lacks automated AI bookkeeping and the system can be difficult to navigate.

Perfect fit for my first business

Pros

Starting out with my first small business, choosing this was absolutely the right move. It's simple to use for just about anyone and comes at a really affordable price.

Cons

It covered everything I needed. My only wish is for a way to make the dashboard feel less crowded, maybe by letting users hide or deselect features they don't use.

centralized solution

Pros

Having invoicing, expense tracking and financial reporting all in one place was the part I appreciated most. Since it's cloud-based and the interface feels user-friendly, it was simple to stay organized and keep an eye on business finances from anywhere.

Cons

Some of the more advanced tools are locked behind higher-tier plans so the cost can add up as the business grows. Support has also been hit or miss which makes more complex issues harder to sort out quickly.

Wide range of app integrations

Pros

Between the wide range of app integrations, reliable payroll tools, multi-user access and automatic bank feeds, this is a great solution for a growing business.

Cons

The monthly subscription can get expensive and the price goes up even more as you move to higher plans. It also slows down occasionally and the bank feed sync can have issues once in a while.

easy to get the hang of

Pros

Getting started with it didn't take much time because the layout is clear and simple. The bank syncing works well too which helps a lot with keeping up with daily payables.

Cons

The clearing accounts can become disorganized pretty fast and the tax filing section tends to run into errors fairly often.

Quite expensive

Pros

Widely accepted by accountants, it also connects with a lot of third-party platforms. The software includes a solid range of accounting tools, financial reports, invoicing and bank transaction management. For small businesses, it covers most accounting needs without requiring deep accounting expertise.

Cons

It feels more and more expensive for what you actually get. Bank and credit card connections often drop for no clear reason and getting them linked again can take a lot of time and patience. Support is hard to reach, answers are inconsistent and technical problems rarely get resolved quickly. For a product with this kind of reputation and price, it also feels surprisingly buggy and clunky at times.

Provides excellent value

Pros

Between the customized reports and the memorized reports, this has been the best value for me. It's also very user-friendly which makes it pleasant to work with.

Cons

After more than 5 years of using it, I still haven't run into any issue, problem or concern that couldn't be resolved without much trouble.

constant upsells and no support

Pros

Being able to access it from anywhere is convenient. Other than that, Intuit is terrible because it feels like you constantly have to upgrade and pay more just to get any kind of service.

Cons

The biggest problem is the cost and the lack of help unless you pay extra. You can never seem to get support without being pushed to upgrade the upgrade you already paid for. Not once have I had an interaction that didn't end up costing more money or involve another upgrade. Every time I call, they try to sell me something else first. My time matters and they waste it by refusing to help until they've pitched some kind of add-on. I literally got off the phone after paying for an upgrade just so I could receive a callback about a small issue. Then when they finally called and fixed it in just a couple of minutes, they still tried to sell me yet another upgrade.

all-in-one accounting platform

Pros

Having everything I need in one place is a big plus. My favorite part is being able to review transactions and match them before reconciling which makes the whole process much better.

Cons

The frequent pop-ups can be a little annoying. They sometimes get in the way while I'm navigating but since most of them have a "don't show again" option, that usually takes care of it.

Pros

Whenever something comes up, the customer support team responds quickly. The interface is user-friendly and very easy to navigate.

Pros

The dashboard is clean and keeps invoicing and expense tracking pretty simple. Payroll and tax tools are also really helpful especially for a small business.

Cons

A few features feel more complicated than they need to be for a small business. There are also too many upsells and extra charges for functionality that feels like it should already be included.
