Quickbooks Online Features
Invoicing And Recurring Billing
Create professional invoices, schedule recurring bills, and enable autopay for repeat customers. Templates keep branding consistent while automatic email delivery reduces manual follow up. With online payments tied to each invoice, collections happen faster and ledger entries update promptly, shortening days outstanding and reducing missed charges.
Bank Feeds And Reconciliation
Quickbooks Online features connectivity with bank and card accounts to import transactions automatically, then categorize with rules and reconcile to statements. Fewer manual entries mean fewer posting mistakes and a current cash position. Reconciliation histories and attachments support audit needs and give accountants a clear trail during month end close.
Expense Tracking And Receipt Capture
Use the mobile app to snap receipts and upload bills, with optical character recognition extracting vendor, date, and totals. Digital storage keeps documents organized and searchable for audits. Recording expenses promptly improves accuracy at tax time and reduces the risk of lost paperwork or delayed reimbursements.
Reporting And Financial Statements
Run core reports like Profit and Loss, Balance Sheet, and transaction detail, then filter by date, customer, class, or location. The ability to drill into line items clarifies variances quickly. Consistent reporting gives owners and accountants a current view needed for operational and compliance decisions.
Projects And Time Tracking
Track project income, costs, and labor to see profitability by job. Hourly cost rates paired with timesheets provide a realistic margin picture, not just billable totals. With project reports in place, managers can spot overruns early and clearly and adjust scope or staffing before budgets slip.

“simple to print checks”
Pros
Writing and printing checks is very simple and the online version has been really convenient for working back and forth between our office and accountant.
Cons
I still prefer the look and feel of the desktop version. The layout in QuickBooks Online doesn't feel quite as user-friendly to navigate.

“Nonexistent support”
Pros
Can't find any positives to mention here, it's been a bad experience and support is basically nonexistent. I spent an hour on the phone only to realize the call was really about trying to upsell me. Overall, just bad.
Cons
It's not affordable for small businesses anymore. If you have the desktop version, they push you into switching and the cost is just too high.

“Keeps our business organized”
Pros
Creating invoices, pulling in bank feeds, tracking expenses and generating accurate financial reports all work really well. It keeps our business organized and saves us a lot of time.
Cons
The integration with Jobber could definitely be better. The sync isn't always reliable so we end up spending too much time manually fixing and matching information.
