“always offer friendly support”
Pros
QuickBooks Online comes packed with a lot of features and offers plenty of high quality reports. The customer service is also very good and the chat support has been especially helpful.
Cons
For a small business it can feel overloaded with features. That makes it a bit confusing at times and more than what's really needed. For a mid-sized business though it becomes much more useful.

“Easy store builder with useful options”
Pros
Getting started with it was pretty easy thanks to its user friendly layout. It helped me pick up the basics of accounting, send invoices and stay on top of my expenses. The tutorials and guides were also really useful while I was learning.
Cons
A few tools felt confusing in the beginning and the subscription cost may be a little high for someone who is just getting started. Also it took a bit of time to figure out where everything was located.

“Helpful features for quick website setup”
Pros
Having our accounting in this tool works really well because it's cloud-based and simple to use so I can get to everything from anywhere. The invoicing, expense tracking, bank reconciliation and reporting tools are all very useful and help keep our daily bookkeeping more organized and efficient.
Cons
Support isn't always quick when help is needed and some of the more advanced features are locked behind the higher-tier plans. The cost can also climb once more users are added and now and then an update shifts the interface around which makes familiar tasks harder to locate.

“Great visual layouts for small shops”
Pros
It seems less like basic bookkeeping software and more like the mobile financial hub that keeps my business running. The biggest advantage for me is how accessible it is and how well everything updates in real time. After connecting the bank feeds, reconciliation stops being a weekend-long chore and turns into a quick 10 minute review I can handle from my phone or laptop. The invoicing tools are professional, payment links help clients pay faster and the cash flow dashboard gives a clear, immediate view of how the business is doing.
Cons
Since the platform includes so many features, it's not always something you can jump into without a little setup and adjustment. The navigation can be a bit tricky at first and the learning curve is fairly steep if you're not already familiar with cloud-based accounting systems. On top of that Intuit's subscription tier changes mean you have to pay attention to your plan so you're not spending extra on features your business doesn't really need.

“Simple design customization for online stores”
Pros
One thing that works well is its ability to generate financial and management reports which gives a quick snapshot of how the business is doing.
Cons
Using the system isn't very user friendly. The dashboard is too text heavy and visually cluttered which makes it harder to pull out the information you need.

“great experience!”
Pros
Running my small business has been a really positive experience. The platform is easy to use and the self-service support resources make troubleshooting quick and manageable.
Cons
During use I did run into a few syncing problems. At first I thought they were caused by my internet connection or browser but after looking into it a bit more online, I learned it was actually a known issue.

“Easy page management with helpful support”
Pros
I find it easy to use and I really enjoyed the variety of tools it offers for managing tasks and supporting business growth. Setting up payments and handling other functions was simple and convenient.
Cons
The cost felt quite high for a small business owner like me although it wasn't enough to put me off from using it.

“Helpful store features but expensive”
Pros
Being a Pro Advisor used to be something I really appreciated because Intuit would send referrals my way and I also got discounts on the clients I referred. Another feature I still really like is that PDF statements can now be imported which is genuinely helpful.
Cons
At the same time it seems like they don't put much value on their relationships with accountants and the ongoing price increases are hard to ignore. The frequent format changes are also frustrating as if something already works, there's no reason to keep changing it just to justify charging more.

“Great custom options available”
Pros
This tool has built a strong reputation as a dependable finance management tool and that really shows in day to day use. The recent invoicing upgrades are a valuable improvement making the platform more efficient and more user friendly when handling billing for retail and wholesale businesses.
Cons
There really aren't any major downsides worth pointing out. That said it would be even stronger for retail-focused businesses if it included more advanced POS capabilities like batch number tracking, loyalty program support and better inventory control features.

“Simple visual builder for online selling”
Pros
Packed with features, it still is very simple to use. There are plenty of training materials available if you need guidance and support usually responds pretty quickly. The reporting is accurate and it also integrates well with a wide range of other systems.
Cons
As per me the biggest downside is the very high cost of the top tier plan. On top of that some integrations only work if you subscribe to that highest plan which is pretty disappointing.

“Reliable site layouts!”
Pros
Having my employees timecards and my paychecks in one place makes things really convenient. Also it is simple to update my taxes and W-4 whenever there's a change at home or anything else that affects it. I haven't run into any bugs or problems while using it.
Cons
The pricing seems reasonable from my side but since the owner handles the payments, she has mentioned that the cost appears to increase every year. Another issue is that email notifications sometimes get sent to my personal email even though my work email is the one listed on the account.

“Easy store creation and quick edits”
Pros
It comes with well known reporting tools that help keep a budget under control by tracking income and expenses and also it makes it possible to send bills to customers on time. One of the biggest advantages is the free 30 day trial which is especially useful for beginners who want to learn the software before committing.
Cons
There honestly isn't much to complain about with QuickBooks but if I had to point out one downside, it would be the pricing. The cost has gone up since the product was first introduced and when you compare it with options like Zoho Books, Xero or FreshBooks, it does feel more expensive.

“Helpful design features for small businesses”
Pros
Coming in with no accounting background and only a limited grasp of financial reporting, it has still been fairly easy to use for my small business. It covers the things I actually need like sending invoices, receiving payments, connecting to my bank account, sending reminders, letting me upload receipts and giving me access through the mobile app. Also I deal with multiple currencies so that feature is especially important for the way I work.
Cons
My biggest issue is the cost. It is a large platform with a wide range of features and I can see why the pricing is set where it is but for my specific needs it feels too expensive. I may be able to get by with something smaller or even go back to using spreadsheets.

“Great website builder with friendly guidance”
Pros
Getting started with the basic setup is pretty easy and the newer AI features are a nice addition even if they still feel like they're learning since a lot of the results I get aren't very relevant yet. For standard needs, it's fairly simple to put everything in place. Once you move past the basics though setting up invoices and reports exactly the way you want can become more challenging. Even so, the available customization options still cover a large share of what's needed.
Cons
At times it runs into issues where errors stick around even after trying to fix them which can be frustrating. Depending on what you need done and what government requirements call for, there are cases where basic Excel ends up being a more efficient option.

“Simple custom layouts for quick launch”
Pros
Being able to get into the system quickly with very few issues has been a big plus. The financial reporting is dependable and the detailed breakdown for each G/L code and category is especially useful.
Cons
I'd still like a bit more flexibility when setting up accounts. Some of that may come from our own accounting structure but there are times when the account setup options feel somewhat limiting.

“Reliable page customization for online shops”
Pros
QuickBooks Online gives a lot of flexibility and the financial reporting is really strong. It seems like good value for the money and the overall usability is decent enough once you get into it.
Cons
One thing that gets frustrating is how complicated it can be. It really could be simpler because they've made even simple tasks feel harder to complete than they should be.

“Easy visual builder with helpful features”
Pros
It stood out to me because it was very user friendly and convenient to access from anywhere. It made handling finances, keeping up with expenses, creating invoices and checking important information is easy. The automation tools and easy to follow reports also saved me time and helped me stay much more organized.
Cons
The downside is that the subscription cost can become expensive especially for small businesses or anyone who only needs a basic set of features. Some important tools and more advanced options are locked behind higher-tier plans which can make the pricing feel less worthwhile overall.

“integrates very well!”
Pros
Having cloud access with it makes it really convenient and it integrates well with a lot of other tools. To me, it stands out as the best accounting platform available.
Cons
Well it does come with quite a few features that require additional payment. The subscription cost has also increased over time and getting in touch with customer service can be difficult.

“pretty easy to use tool”
Pros
Sending invoices right from the platform is pretty easy and giving my accountant direct access to pull whatever reports are needed at tax time saves me from having to send anything over myself. Everything is already there when they need it. I also liked that when I noticed something available in the US wasn't working in Canada, their engineering team actually investigated it and came back with a fix. They definitely earned points from me for that.
Cons
It seems fairly expensive for what it actually offers. With the added charges for payment processing and similar fees, I'd expect the subscription levels to be a bit more affordable.

“Simple visual customization but limited”
Pros
Compared with bigger accounting platforms, this one is fairly easy to use and gives good value for the price.
Cons
That said its usability seems limited and it doesn't include as many features as the full QuickBooks version or some of the more established alternatives. For instance importing isn't available in the online version.
