“Simple to implement”

it was incredibly simple to implement and using it day to day has been just as simple. Training new employees is also very manageable even when they are brand new to the hotel industry or don't have any accounting experience.
Cons
Before we had it fully integrated with our POS, manual data entry was very simple to do which ended up causing errors and meant creating completely new reports. The only real issue during startup was getting it connected to the POS. I had to contact customer support a few times and not only did it take a long time to reach someone but the advice I got wasn't accurate. In the end, I had to look up the solution myself so customer service was disappointing.

“easy to import information”
Pros
The set up process was not complicated and importing information was pretty simple. With some systems, the setup process feels more complicated than necessary but this one keeps it fairly simple.
Cons
It doesn't offer quite the same level of detail or as many options as the Desktop version. The desktop setup also lets you keep more pages open at once and moving from Desktop to Online can be frustrating in the beginning.

Pros
Best of all, it's free and that alone is a huge plus. Even without a price tag, the software is packed with everything needed to handle bookkeeping properly. You really don't need to be good with numbers either since it takes care of the calculations for you.
Cons
I didn't come across a single downside while using it. It was user-friendly, simple and very simple to understand.

Pros
It's pretty much the default choice for bookkeeping and handles the core job well as the industry standard. It also helps that so many clients are already using the same platform.
Cons
The company has been feeling increasingly money-driven, with price hikes happening across the board. On top of that, the bank connections constantly need to be refreshed which gets frustrating when clients don't want to sign in and take care of it themselves.

Pros
Handling automatic payments with this software has been really convenient and the bank transactions are consistently accurate. On top of that, the layout is simple to follow so getting around the system feels very natural.
Cons
There isn't anything I dislike about it. It has been efficient and accurate throughout and after using many different accounting software options, I'd place this one above most of them.

Pros
Moving around the software is very simple. I really appreciate how transactions import automatically and can be categorized without much effort for bookkeeping. Pulling reports is also pretty simple. The customer support team has been helpful and seems to genuinely care about resolving problems although there have been times when it took a while because they had to place me on hold while checking with others for a solution.
Cons
Every now and then, there's a glitch with credit card batch transactions not matching correctly and there isn't a very good way to fix it when that happens. Outside of that, it works well overall and most beginners should be able to handle a lot of their accounting tasks with this software.

We'd been using their billing and payment processing every week since 2019. In June, we moved from Desktop to QuickBooks Online because it was supposed to simplify things and that turned out to be completely untrue.
Cons
Right after the switch, our flat payment processing rate vanished and was replaced with a 1% fee. Instead of a small fixed charge, every customer payment suddenly cost us hundreds of dollars. It honestly feels like legal theft. Support said the change happened because after switching, QBO was treating us like a new company starting in June. That makes no sense when we've been doing weekly business with them since 2019 yet they kept calling us "new." Nobody in support wanted to investigate or actually fix it and every interaction felt like they were just there to stonewall us. On top of taking more money per transaction, they've also put our account under review twice for no clear reason which holds every deposit. Right now they're sitting on more than $150k that our customers paid us last week and won't do anything to speed it up. To make matters worse, their reporting is terrible. The customer reports are so bad that I have to use a Google Sheets script just to correct the data it generates.

Pros
Invoicing works well and the tools for customer outreach and follow-up are useful. The platform is also simple to use and I appreciate the shared web app style they use for managing the software.
Cons
Things often get changed without any notice which ends up wiping out customizations. Another issue is their lack of follow-through when problems are reported, I've had support issues left open for years that really should have been fixed long ago. On top of that, the pricing keeps going up constantly.

Feels fairly user-friendly and when something isn't immediately obvious, their help articles and forums usually make it possible to figure out.
Cons
They offer so many products and user types that it can be hard to understand how each one works which option is the right fit and how the pricing is structured especially when comparing add-ons with standalone products.

Right away, the clean interface and simple invoicing made this a good fit. The mobile app was especially helpful for keeping up with finances while away from the office. It works really well for small businesses that need accounting software that's simple and dependable.
Cons
It has limited support for complex multi-entity accounting and more detailed custom reporting. A few features also felt a bit too basic for growing businesses that need more advanced tools.

Pros
Found it simple to get the hang of and the main features like invoicing, banking and VAT returns are relatively easy to work through.
Cons
The payroll side is much harder to deal with especially since the layout of the payroll pages keeps changing. It's also frustrating that editing a payroll run after it has been completed is difficult.

Having my bank accounts sync automatically gives me up-to-date financial information in real time and it makes matching transactions between accounts much more manageable.
Cons
The platform's appearance and organization get updated often. Right when you finally adjust to one version, it changes again. That breaks up the workflow and cuts into productivity while you figure out the new layout. It would be much better if users could choose whether to switch to the updated design or keep the previous one without any changes. On top of that, changing the bank account used for payroll funding and paycheck payments for the company is harder than it should be. Several different settings have to be changed, including one that most users would never think to check, settings > payroll settings > accounting > sync to current QBO account. There's really no obvious way to know that has to be updated to complete the account change unless you end up calling support.

Connecting it with our nonprofit CRM has been a huge help since all the information transfers over with a single click. Linking our bank accounts also pulls in transactions without any hassle and the nonprofit discounts they offer are something we truly appreciate.
Cons

Bookkeeping, reconciliations, payroll and invoicing are all handled really well. Since we're a hair salon franchise, the automatic bank syncing and reconciliation rules save us a lot of time. Payroll for our 20-person team also runs very efficiently and the tax reporting to the state is taken care of without much hassle.
Cons
Bank syncing and the app-based payment system work really well. For a small business, the payroll tools are a very helpful time saver. Because the accounting and bookkeeping functions work hand in hand, all the required tax reporting is much easier to manage.
