Pros

Having multiple users update information when needed is a big plus. The platform feels fairly user-friendly and it's simple for people to find what they need with access from anywhere.

Cons

It works well for small businesses handling basic accounting but once the company starts growing, scaling becomes more difficult without a significant jump in costs.

“Uncluttered interface”

Pros

Getting started with it was simple and the setup didn't take much time at all. With how packed my schedule usually is, I really appreciate not having to dig around for information, everything I need is right there in the app.

Cons

The part I liked least was the price even though I ended up choosing the annual subscription. There are definitely cheaper options out there but none of them covered everything I was looking for.

Pros

The software is simple to use, with solid customization options for client invoices, plus the ability to set reminders and automatically add late payment fees.

Cons

The website feels a little complex and it doesn't have the polished functionality you'd expect from a more advanced tech platform especially simple things like opening items in new tabs directly from the page. The interface can also feel slow.

“Affordable pricing”

Pros

as a new user, it is pretty simple and the interface feels convenient without being confusing. The pricing is affordable too which makes it even more appealing.

Cons

Moving back and forth between multiple entities is pretty annoying. The 2FA setup is also frustrating since it only allows one phone number which is a hassle when you're working in a partnership.

Pros

It is one of the best tools for handling taxes and accounting work. Everything feels well organized and it's been very helpful overall.

Cons

I honestly don't have any real complaints about it. It's one of my favorite tools and it gets the job done well for both my personal and business needs.

“Handles invoices and bills well”

Pros

Having everything queued up in one place really helps with handling rental invoices, vendor bills and employee reimbursements without jumping between systems. The bank account auto-sync also works fairly well.

Cons

Reporting feels pretty limited unless you pay for an upgrade or manually export everything to Excel which is honestly a real letdown.

“Frustrating navigation”

Pros

Compared with the desktop version, the one advantage QBO has is being able to log in and access it from any computer.

Cons

Beyond that, it feels nowhere near as user-friendly as QuickBooks Desktop. The reports are different and you can only keep one report open at a time which makes switching back and forth really frustrating. On top of that, the account drop-down isn't organized in a user-friendly way.

“Easy transition”

Pros

Moving our accounts over from the existing on-prem Enterprise setup was simple and being able to access everything from anywhere has been a big plus.

Cons

During one client migration from QuickBooks Desktop to Online, they accidentally sent an older file so we had to contact support to cancel that upload and replace it with the newer file instead.

“Useful reports and payments”

Pros

The platform is simple to work with and the reporting is powerful. It also connects well with GoCardless which lets us take credit card payments and set up direct debits something that matters a lot for how our business operates.

Cons

Support has noticeably declined over the years I've been using it. Quite often I'll raise an issue through live chat and then never hear anything back. I'm also not a fan of the review mailers they send out offering a voucher because the small print says it only applies to the first 500 responses or comes with some other condition. It feels like a way to collect lots of reviews while only rewarding a small number of people and I don't think that's very ethical.

“Bank connection outage”

Pros

The accounting software itself is solid but customer support is basically nonexistent and getting any issue resolved feels impossible.

Cons

For the past two months, the system hasn't let me connect my bank account and every time I try, it says it's under maintenance for some unknown reason until January 2026. My bookkeeping is completely stuck and the only response I get is from AI giving me pointless steps that do nothing except waste more of my time.

“Not ready for desktop users”

Pros

There really isn't anything positive I can say about it.

Cons

If you're using Desktop, don't switch over, just stay where you are. The online version still feels unfinished, even though the sales rep may promise it's the same or even better. That wasn't true at all in my case.

“Complete accounting that delivers”

Pros

It feels complete and simple to use. It handles everything we need, from entering transactions all the way through to reporting and it does exactly what we want it to do. Honestly, I can't think of anything that would make it work better.

Cons

I really can't point to anything I like least about it. Everything has been working very well for us.

Pros

This tool has been very reliable, with features that make the work much faster to process and a wide range of tools built into the program. It works really well for bookkeeping and the customer service team has been very helpful whenever there's an issue to sort out. It's also convenient to have quick access to support when needed.

Cons

The pricing seems to go up a little too often which can be frustrating. It's also not something you can confidently jump into without some training since it takes time to get familiar with how the program works.

“Keeps my journal entries accurate”

Pros

It did a solid job keeping all my journal entries accurate and stayed on top of my payroll updates. Whenever I needed help someone was always available to talk.

Cons

Honestly, there isn't much I can point to as a downside. It's hard to come across payroll systems that are this accurate and dependable.

“Simple banking integration”

Pros

Connecting it with most of my bank accounts was pretty simple. The staff also walked me through the features I paid for which made a big difference. Because of that, I'm able to get around most of the system without much trouble.

Cons

The pricing setup is frustrating because there isn't one plan that includes everything. It feels like every function comes as an extra add-on which makes it too expensive for a small business. It also doesn't let me handle quarterly payroll.

“Decent program”

Pros

It has been an excellent product to use. It's very user-friendly and simple to get set up. It can take a bit of time to become familiar with all the features but overall I'm very happy with it.

Cons

Help guide is definitely useful though I would have liked access to AI-based support to make it easier to start using new features and functions.

The setup process was fast and being able to access it easily is great. There's plenty of information and assistance available which really helps. It's fairly user-friendly once you get used to it, even though there can be a bit of a learning curve in the beginning.

Cons

When you don't use it on a regular basis, it can take some effort to get used to. That said, I'm speaking more as an occasional user rather than someone who works in it as an administrator all the time.

Pros

Tracking all of our finances feels very simple and the system is really user-friendly. Reports like profit and loss statements, balance sheets and similar documents are simple to generate and customize whenever needed.

Cons

At times, the number of available options can feel a bit overwhelming. That said, it seems more related to the learning curve for users and it's something that can be improved with training and more time spent using the program.

“Excellent for putting together financial reports”

It gives me a convenient, accessible way to keep track of spending and put together financial reports for investors.

Cons

Sometimes the UI feels a little complicated, the transactions tab takes quite a while to load and there's a steep learning curve when you're just getting started.

Pros

The interface feels much better than the original version, with a lot more customization options and the new features for staying in touch with customers have been really useful.

Cons

The AI still feels very new and not fully integrated yet and it does fail at times when trying to complete a task or respond to a prompt.
