They shut me out

Pros

Everything worked well when all the pieces were working together. It became a lot harder once we missed a tax payment and payroll got blocked because of it.

Cons

They basically shut me out after I had a tough time dealing with one of their high-interest loans which was around 27% APR.

Dreadful support and unresolved errors

Pros

I'd used this software before so the layout felt familiar and the interface was simple. When everything is working properly, it does the job well.

Cons

Things are fine with the software until something breaks. It developed an issue for me and for 5 to 6 weeks I kept being told the engineers were working on it. Then, out of nowhere, the case was closed after my last email and the supposed fix still doesn't work because I'm now getting an error page. The support has been absolutely dreadful and I don't say that lightly.

Wonderful custom reports

Pros

Managing daily invoices and receipts is very convenient with it and being able to access everything quickly makes the work much easier. It also lets you generate customized reports based on exactly what you need.

Cons

Any time there's a connectivity problem or an update-related issue, it takes quite a while to get connected with online support.

Helpful for future planning

Pros

The detailed reports were really useful for handling routine tasks and planning ahead with forecasting.

Cons

Getting started felt a little more complex at first which made the initial learning curve steeper compared with other payment systems.

Handy access controls

Pros

Having it available from anywhere is really useful and managing users along with their access levels is a strong part of the system.

Cons

It does have some quirky behavior and the matching feature occasionally misses the mark or puts items into the wrong accounts.

There's room to grow

Pros

The online integration makes it possible to pull bookkeeping in from other sources which is definitely helpful.

Cons

Integrates nicely with our CRM

Pros

It is amazing how it connects with our financial institutions for both credit cards and deposits. It also integrates nicely with our OSS and CRM systems. Data moves between the platforms smoothly, on time and with solid accuracy.

Cons

We've been running into bugs when trying to match posted client payments to bank deposits. The problem has been reported and tracked but it still hasn't been fixed after the last 10 months.

Accommodating support team

Pros

Having everything cloud-based makes it accessible for everyone who needs to use it which is a big plus. The customer service team responds quickly and the automatic payroll for salaried employees is really helpful. I also appreciate that report data is clickable so I can jump straight from a report into the actual transaction.

Cons

One frustration is the new AI business feed that has been added for a select few of my clients because there's no option in QuickBooks to turn it off even though there should be. Some reports still don't offer enough customization. Another issue is that transactions have both a memo field and a description field and different reports pull from one or the other. Because of that, I end up entering the same information in both places just to make sure the transaction description consistently shows up in reports.

Automation tools save so many hours

Pros

Being able to access it from anywhere makes managing finances really convenient, especially when I'm on the go. The interface is user-friendly and the automation tools, like bank transaction syncing and recurring invoices, save a lot of time.

Cons

The cost can get pretty high, especially as the business grows and more advanced features become necessary. Some users may also feel that the reporting tools are more limited than what's available in the desktop version.

Awesome all-in-one finance hub

Pros

It really handles just about everything. You can bring a lot of different parts of your business together in one platform, especially anything tied to finances.

Cons

The price can be hard to justify and it's fairly complex. You also don't get much flexibility when trying to work outside the functions they've already built in.

Invoices and tax docs at hand

Pros

Having everything right at my fingertips has been a big plus. I can create and send invoices quickly and I also have direct access to the tax documents I need whenever necessary.

Cons

Our team wasn't very happy with the direct deposit workflow. We were hoping for something a bit more user-friendly.

Smooth onboarding

Pros

Set up felt very simple, especially as someone running a business for the first time. The interface is easy to understand and the onboarding process along with the virtual support was especially helpful when we were first setting everything up. The cashflow planner has been a very useful tool for tracking expected income and outgoing expenses. Mileage tracking through the mobile app is also an excellent feature.

Cons

The "projects" module comes as a paid upgrade. It would be much better if this were included as a basic feature in the standard subscription since it would help businesses link costs to specific projects and keep a closer eye on profitability.

amazing payroll features

Pros

These days, it works really well for payroll and accounts receivable and I'm really happy with it for those tasks, even though I'm disappointed about the upcoming system changes.

Can be better

Pros

Mobile access has definitely improved although it still comes with some limitations.

Cons

The move to the Online version and its launch felt pretty rushed. Since the most recent update, getting around the system has become more difficult, especially when trying to choose invoice templates.

Awful access and invoicing issues

Pros

It does import transactions from our bank account automatically.

Cons

Right now, just getting the system to work is a constant struggle. At times I log in and can't access any of the functions at all so I end up signing in and out multiple times before anything works. I'm also limited to using it in Chrome. Today I was able to create a customer but I still couldn't create an invoice and I've already spent hours trying to figure it out. The whole system feels terrible to use. I'm now stuck spending time looking for another platform because I need something that works when I need it, not only when it decides to cooperate.

Outstanding customer care

Pros

Being able to fix mistakes, remove transactions and even make changes to older entries is incredibly helpful. The customer service has been incredible and the layout is well designed so it's simple to find what you need and handle basic transactions quickly.

Cons

Pricing has gone up quite a bit lately. Payroll is also charged separately for each employee and it would make more sense to offer pricing per company with tiers for 5, 10 or 15 employees, for example.

user-friendly accounting with helpful guidance

Pros

The interface feels user-friendly and the Help topics do an excellent job of walking you through just about every part of the portal. This accounting software works really well for beginners, intermediate users and even professionals who want to keep their books organized while supporting business growth.

Cons

The dashboard shortcuts aren't placed where I'd want them and I'm still not sure how to move or add them.

Our go-to for payroll

Pros

it has become our go-to for payroll because it handles automatic tax calculations, scheduled filings and direct deposit really well. It's also a strong pick for keeping an eye on real-time bank feeds, managing bank reconciliations and pulling together year-end reports.

Cons

their support team can be hard to reach and communication with them isn't always easy.
