Pros
QBO has really simplified the whole online accounting workflow in my organization. It takes care of major repetitive tasks automatically, especially things like accounts payable and accounts receivable which saves a lot of time.
Cons
Honestly, it's the most powerful online accounting tool I've used and it has never let me down.

“Scales well”
Pros
Running my finances from anywhere has been one of the biggest benefits for me. Since it's cloud-based, I can check and manage everything whenever I need to which has been especially valuable for remote work. The layout is user-friendly and I really appreciate how well it connects with so many of the apps I already rely on. Tools like automatic bank transaction imports cut down a lot of manual work and the mobile app helps me keep up with everything when I'm away from my desk. It also scales nicely so it continues to fit as my business grows.
Cons
Subscription fees can climb pretty fast, especially once you start adding more users or need additional features through integrations. Even though the interface is generally user-friendly some of the more advanced functions take extra effort to figure out. It's a very capable platform but the pricing feels a bit high for smaller businesses.

Pros
It makes running payroll and dealing with taxes much more manageable, especially for new business owners who don't come from an accounting background.
Cons
accounting module was harder than expected. Even with a business background, I felt it was more complicated and tougher to set up than similar tools like Wave. It's not a huge problem since QuickBooks has plenty of community resources and a very supportive customer service team to help along the way. Another issue for me is the smart screen-sharing approach they use for troubleshooting. Support connects you with an agent, you share your screen and they walk you through the process. That works but I really wish more of these fixes could be handled directly in the backend by the agent instead of taking so long through screen sharing.

Pros
This tool has been really simple and the mobile app makes it convenient to keep up with things wherever I am. Being able to share access with my bookkeeper is also a big plus and helps us stay on the same page.
Cons
The mileage tracking feature tends to drain my phone battery pretty quickly.

Having everything stored online is a big plus. It's simple to use and I can get to it from pretty much anywhere, whether I'm on my phone, laptop, tablet or desktop.
Cons
Every now and then, logging in takes a minute. It could just be my internet connection but I've run into that issue a few times.

“They keep adding new features”
Pros
Handling bookkeeping, payroll and similar tasks with this has been very simple which makes day-to-day work much more manageable. I also appreciate that they keep introducing new features for employers such as 401k account options so it feels more organized and better suited for small business management. Customer service has generally been reliable and helpful as well.
Cons
The monthly cost is pretty high and it starts to add up over time which has made me consider switching more than once. On top of that, a few parts of the system are still confusing if you do not come from an accounting background.

It's the most widely used accounting software for small businesses and there are plenty of tips and resources available online.
Cons
It's very different from the Desktop version. Switching from Desktop to Online felt more like learning a completely different company's system and as a bookkeeper, I have less access to work with and adjust the data.

Pros
Keeping up with invoices and customer details is really useful. It also does a good job of helping me stay on top of accounting records and receipts when I'm classifying transactions.
Cons
The automatic receipt matching can be pretty inconsistent. A lot of the time, the receipts I upload don't connect to the right transactions. On top of that, the image file format shown in the receipts tab isn't one I can directly upload to a transaction so if the receipt doesn't match automatically, I have to convert the photo file before I can use it. That ends up making the whole process take longer than simply emailing myself a receipt photo and attaching it manually.

Pros
The integration with Clio worked well along with the rest of the Intuit product suite. The interface is reasonably simple to move around and overall it does a solid job, even if I'm still not completely sure those advantages make up for some of the downsides.
Cons
It was decent overall but as someone without an accounting background, parts of it were a little difficult to figure out. That may partly be on me though since I chose to handle the entire onboarding process myself as a new business owner instead of using their expert support.
