“Bank syncing works perfectly”
Pros
My accountant handles everything in it without any issues and it links up with my bank account and credit card smoothly.
Cons
Since I'm not an accountant or bookkeeper myself, I'm just relieved that my accountant and bookkeeper are able to manage it all for me.

“Allows you to work on the go”
Pros
Being cloud based makes a big difference because you can work from anywhere as long as you have an internet connection and the mobile app also lets you keep up with things while you're on the move.
Cons
A few tools that exist in the desktop version aren't available here and some of the more advanced features can be tricky to use if you don't already have accounting experience.

“Very accessible and friendly”
Pros
Ability to use it anywhere with an internet connection is probably the best part. It's very accessible and user-friendly.
Cons
It does run into occasional glitches now and then but overall it's still accessible and simple to use. I'd definitely recommend it.

“Allows me to share data with others”
Pros
Sharing data with others is convenient and the integrations are really useful. The bank feeds also work well when the connection holds.
Cons
Support is pretty frustrating and usually leans on canned replies for issues that are already searchable online and have often been tried before reaching out. PNC is a major bank yet the feed connection with it is terrible. Even getting it connected can be a hassle and once it is, it disconnects often. I get that some of that comes from PNC's security setup but for such a major bank, this should work much better. The payroll options are also awful and when something goes wrong, fixing it is a nightmare because so much is locked down, not visible or can't be corrected manually. That means having to depend on support and they often seem unsure of what they're doing which is especially bad for Ohio and Pennsylvania local tax issues.

“Terrible design and reports”
Pros
The one thing it has going for it is that it's cloud-based so I could log in and access it from anywhere.
Cons
Beyond that, just about everything else is a problem. The menus are badly laid out and even accounting professionals struggle to figure out how to enter different types of transactions. Basic tasks like "Make deposit" or "Enter credit card transaction" take way too much digging to find. The reports are awful. The default Chart of Accounts for new clients is a mess, with tons of accounts that most small businesses will never need and once they're created there's no way to delete them. When choosing the correct account from the dropdown while entering a transaction, the order feels completely random. It's nothing like Desktop, where Assets came first, then Liabilities, Equity, Income and Expenses, all organized alphabetically. The default column widths are also wrong, some are unnecessarily wide, while others, like the Memo column, are cut off so badly you can't even read half the entry. You can spend time trying to resize everything but printed reports still don't match what's on screen and remain hard to read. Most CPAs I know have basically given up, exporting reports to Excel and fixing them there instead which is a huge waste of time. On top of that, Intuit has ads all over the software pushing its other products and services. They also tempt Desktop users over with low introductory pricing and we've all seen what happened with Desktop prices which have jumped more than 800% in four years. I've never seen a company build up 25+ years of goodwill with satisfied customers and then ruin that relationship so quickly.

“Super user-friendly accounting”
Pros
Even without knowing much about accounting, I'm still able to keep track of everything because the platform feels very user friendly.
Cons
I honestly don't have many complaints. The only downside is that we recently had to move to a more expensive subscription but that was only because we needed it to integrate with Acculynx.

Setting up QB is easy and the layout is simple to move around. Running reports takes very little effort and it works smoothly with payroll. You can also invite your accountant to access the account, review everything and help with tax returns.

new layout no longer lets you choose the home page view that works best for your needs.
