It can be a bit too user-friendly at times. I have to be careful when matching transactions because it tends to auto-fill information that isn't always accurate.

Running our childcare center with it for years worked out really well. Billing families through it was very simple and now that it supports online payments, it makes collecting money much more convenient. Getting paid on time is a big help when you're managing a center.

Back when we were using it, the lack of online payment options was frustrating. I know that feature is available now and it's a nice improvement but it would have been extremely helpful if it had existed years earlier.

From day one, it has felt very user-friendly so managing our finances doesn't take much effort. Having cloud-based access is really convenient and the way it connects with other software helps simplify our accounting workflow. It works especially well for sending invoices, monitoring expenses and putting together financial reports quickly.

Cons

Some of the more advanced features are only available in the accounting view which can be restrictive for people who also handle accounting tasks but don't have access to that view. On top of that, as a business expands in size or becomes more complex, particularly when multiple subsidiaries are involved, it may not be strong enough to support more detailed financial needs.

It connects well with all the systems and revenue tracking tools we use in the office. The reporting and budgeting setup makes it simple to build and monitor expenses and income against our budget and it gives us a clear view of where money is coming from and where it's going.

Creating reports could be a bit more user-friendly, maybe by adding a drag-and-drop feature.

Having access from anywhere has been such a blessing. Even when I'm traveling, I can still log in and use it without any trouble.

The reporting options feel a bit restricted. I'd really prefer more flexibility to customize reports than what it currently offers.

It is simple to access, user-friendly to use and comes with very helpful training tutorials for setting up advanced accounting features.

Some of the advanced tools such as the backup feature, did not work properly at the start although that seems to have improved over time. Customer support can also be slow to reply and, at times, does not seem experienced enough for a large accounting platform like QuickBooks.

Keeping up with all my clients' files is really convenient and being able to access everything remotely makes the software even more useful.

Intuit advertises directly to the public in a way that feels like it undercuts the professionals who rely on and use their software.

At the start, it was a bit difficult to figure out. I ended up taking one of their courses to learn how to use it better.

Having my bank and credit card accounts connected in one place has been a big help because it keeps all of my income and expenses together. It also takes a lot of stress out of tax season by automating payroll and sorting expenses into categories for me.

Cons

QuickBooks' AI still feels like it needs work. It doesn't always categorize expenses correctly or identify Zelle transactions under the right vendor or contractor, even when the name is already in the transaction data. The reporting side is also not very user-friendly and it would be better with more filtering options.
