“Allows collaboration with CPAs”

The platform is very user friendly and makes it simple for both me and my CPAs to manage everything together.

At times, uploading documents or setting the right access permissions can be difficult.

“Helped me get started”

Back when we launched the business in 2018, I was starting from scratch and this has been the accounting system I've used ever since. The interface is fairly user-friendly which made it much less overwhelming as a complete beginner. Whenever I've needed help, the customer support has been excellent and the online forums are also full of useful, well-answered information that makes it easy to find answers as things come up.

Cons

The mobile app doesn't include access to any payroll features. There are also times when the automatic bank feed download doesn't work properly which means I have to manually enter any transactions it misses. On top of that, they recently switched to charging per employee on each payroll run so if you have staff who are away or part-time workers, you have to manually update their status every single payroll run to avoid being charged which is a pretty annoying change.

We find it easy to use so even someone without an accounting background can understand how to use it.

Cons

Sales tax calculations aren't fully accurate right now although they've said they're working on fixing that. The price also feels a bit high for small businesses.

“Convenient invoicing and client tracking”

Pros

Creating invoices is pretty simple and keeping track of clients works well.

Cons

The missing one-click access button they used to have needs to be added back. Now you have to sign in through several portals before you finally reach the main screen which is very annoying.

“Payroll and taxes in one system”

Pros

Having payroll and tax payments built right into the software is really convenient and keeps everything in one place.

Cons

Reporting feels complicated and it would be better with more customization options available.

Pros

Being able to look up my pay stubs and tax details whenever I need to is really convenient and the interface feels very polished.

Every now and then the app crashes but aside from that, I genuinely enjoy using it.

The functionality is very user-friendly and the reporting and management tools cover a lot of ground.

Tracking down specific transactions is not always simple and the automatic bank transaction sync can be unreliable. It sometimes imports duplicate entries if something was already entered or assigns transactions to the wrong account.

It is available online which has made it much more accessible for our team and we no longer have to deal with managing a server.

Cons

There have been occasions when maintenance was happening or our internet connection went down which made the system inaccessible.

Works really well for a wide range of tasks and fits businesses of just about any size.

It can be fairly complicated to navigate and a lot of the tools are buried under multiple layers of menus.

The batch processing features are really helpful and the accountant tools add a lot of value when managing day-to-day accounting work.

It still has room to grow before it reaches the same level as the Desktop version and not every version includes a backup feature which is a drawback.

It is fairly simple to use and it comes with a lot of built-in functionality that connects with other products. That said, this can be a downside too. The interface itself is quite strong but the overall user experience could be more organized.

Cons

It is owned by Intuit and since Intuit also owns so many other products, there's a lot of odd overlap between them. I also don't like that Intuit has bought other websites and tools our team uses because it creates issues when I set up an account with the same email address on a different platform.

Pros

This tool is easy to work with and I really love that it links to my bank account so my reports stay updated automatically.

Cons

The search feature does not always work as well as I would expect.

Pros

Adding vendors and recording expenses is very simple which makes day-to-day bookkeeping much more manageable.

Cons

It does freeze from time to time and bulk logging can be a bit difficult to work through.

“Amazing bank reconciliation and fund accounting tools”

Pros

It works really well for tracking the accounts of non-profit organizations since it includes tools for both bank reconciliation and fund accounting.

Cons

At the same time, it still can't handle payments, taxes or fixed assets and it lacks proper financial management features.

Sending invoices is simple and being able to import account transactions into the system is really useful.

Cons

Getting from point A to point B takes too many complicated, convoluted steps. Customer service is terrible and there's no follow-up after support calls.

Pros

It's fairly user-friendly and reasonably priced, while still covering a bit of everything. You can handle same-day deposits, taxes and automatic scheduled payroll, plus it comes with mileage tracking, benefits and more.

Cons

The only part that was a little frustrating was when the layout changed and I had to figure out where everything had moved.

It is simple to use whether you're just getting started or already have plenty of experience.

The ability to lock prior months would be nice since right now you can still go back and make changes to past periods.

The app comes with solid tools and it connects well with other software which makes work a lot more convenient.

Cons

Making changes and entering transactions from the account view gets frustrating. When reviewing different GL accounts, fixing entries or adding journal entries feels clunky because you often have to leave that screen and go somewhere else to make the edit. Another annoyance is that if you're several pages deep into a list and open a pop-up or make certain changes, it sends you back to page 1 instead of keeping you on the page you were already viewing.
