“Remote access”

Pros

Being able to sign in and view all of my accounting reports without remotely logging into a main computer is a huge plus. Everything I need is available with just a login which makes it much more convenient.

Cons

A recent update changed the look and feel of the platform, including the user interface.

I can check my clients' books remotely makes managing their accounts much more convenient.

The platform gets updated often and those frequent changes can be hard to walk some of my less tech-savvy clients through.

It has been incredibly versatile for us and is really simple to use. We relied heavily on the class tracking for managing our funds and that feature worked especially well. It also integrates nicely with the other software we use which has made everything much more convenient.

Cons

The search function isn't as strong as the one in the desktop version. Also, a few receivables features, like custom templates and choosing specific A/R accounts, don't perform as well as they should.

“Keeps my business accounting in order”

Pros

Using it has been very simple and it has really helped me keep my business accounting in order even though I only have basic bookkeeping knowledge.

Cons

Personally I haven't run into any downsides so far. My business is still growing and at this stage it covers everything I need.

Accessing it from both desktop and mobile is convenient and the loan options were actually a nice surprise with better terms than what I was offered by other banks.

Honestly, there's a lot wrong here. The whole system feels extremely restrictive and one-size-fits-all. It costs far too much considering how little flexibility you get with invoices and estimates. On top of that, trying to reach a real person instead of a basic call center rep is incredibly frustrating. For a business tool, it really misses how important client presentation is when trying to win work yet it gives you very limited ways to make invoices or estimates look professional.

Switching over from the software I used before was really simple, especially when it came to moving all my financial data across.

I haven't run into any issues with it and don't have any complaints so far.

Keeping track of my billable hours became much simpler with this, especially since I work remotely and deal with different time zones.

I couldn't make changes to a project after submitting it. Even minor mistakes had to be corrected by the administrator.

There are plenty of really useful features in it. The parts that stand out most are how simple it is to create company reports and how well it helps keep all business expenses organized and monitored.

I don’t like it when changes are introduced. Even if they're meant to improve things, it can be frustrating after getting used to doing something a certain way and then having it changed. Still, overall it's a very solid product.

It works really well for creating invoices, sending them out, tracking when they've been paid and connecting to the bank so everything stays organized and balanced.

Cons

I do wish there were a template option for invoices that come up repeatedly. It would also help if I could reorder the client list so the customers I invoice most often appeared at the top instead of everything being sorted alphabetically.

“Flexible accounting and useful reports”

Pros

Working in it feels very simple. It's simple to use, I can still edit entries even after they've been posted and the audit log is really helpful for tracking changes. The reporting tools are also a big plus and make it much easier to stay on top of the numbers.

Cons

Changes can still happen even when a period is locked. I'd also love to see an option to send account statements automatically instead of having to handle that manually.

Keeping up with every transaction for my small business is simple with it and that has been a big help in staying organized.

The only thing I'd change is the monthly cost. Paying $30 a month feels a bit too expensive for such a small business.

Creating and sending invoices and credit memos is easy and I could also apply those credit memos to customer invoices without any trouble.

I used Quickbooks Payments for about four years but it eventually got deactivated. On top of that, the pricing kept going up over time without many useful improvements being added to the service.

Having the iPhone app meant I could access and use it from anywhere which was definitely convenient.

it was difficult to use on my own and I really needed an accountant to make proper use of it.

The software is very user-friendly and simple to work with on a computer. It offers many invoice templates and the account numbering process is simple.

The memo writing space could be better and the overall interface presentation could look more polished.

Pros

This is the most powerful online accounting tool I've used so far. The 2-way and 3-way matching features are especially helpful for catching errors before vendor payments go through.

I haven't run into any bugs. Whenever something comes up, the vendor's technical team resolves it very quickly.

It packs in a lot of functionality and feels very robust overall. It offers more features than I personally need but whenever I needed to use something, the tools were there and available without any real limitation.

Cons

Getting around all of the features can be challenging because there is so much built into it. It seems better suited to someone in a finance-focused role, while for a typical entrepreneur or operations person, it can feel like more than necessary. I ended up reaching out to support or checking with my accountant pretty often just to figure out how to use certain parts of the software.
