Pros

The site is very self-explanatory and getting around it feels simple.

Cons

Working with spreadsheets is still my least favorite part, mainly because I'm not very good with them.

Its interface is simple to work with and it's very accommodating whenever I need to make changes to transactions.

The version I use only provides a single field for departments and locations which makes it hard to include both properly in my general ledger.

Getting around it is very simple and being able to use it across multiple devices is a big plus.

It seems to be designed more with small businesses in mind. That works well at the beginning but as the business grows, it can start to present some challenges.

Compared with the desktop version, this one feels much more stable and seems to run into fewer problems with multi-user mode.

The learning curve is pretty steep compared with other IT products.

“Appreciate the search function”

Pros

The search and reporting tools are what I enjoy most about QuickBooks Online. They make it really convenient to find information quickly and pull the reports I need.

Cons

From time to time, there's a software bug that pops up. The interface can also get a little glitchy when moving back and forth between screens in the browser.

Navigating the website feels very simple and the whole platform is extremely user friendly.

It's honestly hard to point out any downside because the system is very simple to use.

Pros

This is one of the tools I've been using for a long time and it has consistently helped me handle accounting work efficiently. Being able to manage tasks like billing and invoicing online makes everything much more convenient.

Cons

I use it every day and honestly, there isn't anything about it that feels problematic or overwhelming to me.

Pros

Something that really works well is having multiple users in the system at the same time without issues. Being able to log in from any computer is also really convenient, especially when working from home. Creating reports is pretty simple which saves time. I also appreciate the QuickBooks Payments button on invoices since it lets customers pay directly and then records the transaction automatically.

Cons

The search feature is frustrating and feels a lot less user-friendly than the desktop version. I also wasn't happy that all of the "other name" list entries were converted into vendors during the transition. Overall, it works quite a bit differently from the desktop version so there's definitely a learning curve to get used to it.

It's accessible and easy to use. There are plenty of categories available which really helps keep everything organized.

What we liked least was the rising cost and the overall experience of using the product.

Compared with the other options out there, this one is on a completely different level. The interface is the best I've used and moving everyone over was incredibly simple. It keeps track of all the information you enter and makes those records very easy to pull up whenever you need them.

Cons

The only problem I ran into was that, at certain times, employees were asked to re-enter information that was already in the system which really just ended up wasting their time.

Having multiple users work in it at the same time is a big plus and it handles a wide range of tasks so it feels very versatile overall.

The transition took some getting used to at first because the workflow is different from the offline version I was familiar with.

Being able to view multiple reports at the same time is really helpful and having access to the program from anywhere is another feature I appreciate.

Using it feels very complex. I've been a certified QB accountant for 25 years and this is the only version where I can't support my clients with the same level of confidence I have with the desktop product. Just when you finally get comfortable with how the screens are laid out, they change again.

“Vat returns made effortless”

Pros

Managing nearly every part of our business with it has been really simple. It makes VAT returns feel like no trouble at all and having all our banking transactions imported automatically saves us a lot of time.

Cons

The payroll side hasn't been the best fit for what we need so for now we've decided to keep using Moneysoft instead.

Pros

It's a really solid program to work with. We especially appreciate how efficiently it handles payroll by tracking benefits and PTO.

Cons

At times, the pages take longer than expected to load although that's likely related to internet issues.

Pros

Once the initial setup was out of the way, the system was simple to use. Phone support has been helpful and the free one-hour training sessions included at signup were a nice bonus. It also costs less than many other accounting software options.

Cons

Getting everything configured at the beginning took quite a bit of effort, especially when moving over from another program. A few features have been inconsistent and while support was able to resolve most of the setup and usability issues I ran into some problems could not be fixed.

Pros

Navigating the site feels very simple and the fields are simple to work through. I also like how the system connects everything end to end, from the app and AR all the way through bank reconciliation. On top of that, transactions for whatever month or period you need are there and available whenever you want to review them.

I honestly don't have any complaints. Everything I can say about it is positive and it's the most simple system I've worked with.

“Can update my financials from anywhere”

Pros

Being able to use it from anywhere is a big plus. I can sign in no matter where I am and keep my financials updated on the spot.

Cons

There are quite a few tabs to go through and it can be hard to figure out where some of the reports are located.

Pros

Using it for dispatch and goods intake is really quick and simple which makes day-to-day tasks much easier to manage.

Cons
