Compared with every other accounting platform I've used, this one has the strongest set of online accounting tools. It cuts down financial mistakes by automating more than 85% of the repetitive manual accounting work.

I use it every day and it's pretty rare for me to run into any issues while using it.

Data pulls up quickly and the workflow makes sense if you're following GAAP. It's reliable overall, with little to no downtime.

The repeated authentication can get irritating at times. You also need to already know how accounting works, otherwise your books can become a mess fast. And not having file upload unless I pay for a third-party service feels really outdated for this day and age.

Being cloud-based is a big plus since I can log in and use it from anywhere. That online access makes everything feel very smooth and simple to work with. Another thing I really appreciate is not having to think about product updates because they happen automatically.

I don't really have any complaints. The help features are very useful and there are always tips and tricks available to help you navigate things better.

Accounting has become much more simple with this, especially in our healthcare office. It saves a lot of time, the cloud-based access is really convenient and the scalability makes it a strong fit as needs grow.

If I had to point out a downside, it would be the pricing although quality tools usually come at a cost so it's hard to complain too much. Also some of the more advanced features can take a bit of learning for users who don't have much experience.

A few features don't perform as well as they should for the price so I end up making journal entries over and over to fix things. For instance, it will often duplicate invoices sent through the system even when I've already manually matched the invoice to the payment. On top of that, deleting a reconciliation requires an accountant which feels unnecessarily restrictive. Some of the extra steps you have to go through are pretty complex.

Having accounting, bookkeeping, a checking account, invoicing and point-of-sale tools all built into one program is a huge plus. I really appreciate being able to handle everything in one place instead of jumping between different systems.

Cons

The part I don't care for is how quickly the account can get frozen, even over legitimate transactions and then it takes way too long to get it unfrozen. That whole process feels frustrating and too reactive.

Compared with the desktop version, this one is simpler to use and that is honestly the only advantage I can point to.

Intuit's customer service is terrible. Even when you do manage to reach someone, they still are not able to actually help.

And even though the platform is robust, it can still feel overwhelming when you're new to it. Some of the more advanced tools come with a learning curve that's steeper than I expected.

The initial setup felt a bit overwhelming because of how much information it asked for but once everything was in place, it worked really well and made things a lot easier overall.

Having remote access to our books has been a big advantage and I can also give access to my accountant and board treasurer without any hassle. Running reports is simple and once I got familiar with the software, entering and categorizing transactions became very simple.

Would be better if the nonprofit version automatically used the correct statement names like Statement of Activities instead of P/L and Statement of Financial Position instead of Balance Sheet.
