“Everyone uses it”

Pros

Since pretty much everyone uses it, working with accountants and other partners is very convenient. It also helps that it's cloud-based so I can log in and access it from different devices whenever I need to.

Cons

it feels more complicated than it really needs to be. For simpler businesses, there are other platforms out there that are more simple and easier to navigate.

“Accounting from my phone”

Pros

Handling my accounting from my phone has been really convenient and it's especially helpful that receipts are pulled in directly from my credit card. It also connects well with several other systems which makes everything work together nicely.

Cons

Nothing really comes to mind here. It's very user-friendly and the guides are helpful too.

Stepping into a small nonprofit as a new Executive Director, I was able to pick up and learn it without much trouble. Being able to log in from anywhere has also been a big plus, especially for supporting a remote work setup.

We also used QuickBooks Time for tracking hours and a lot of staff had a hard time getting used to it. It didn't feel as user-friendly as I expected at first although once I learned how it worked, it became easier to navigate and use.

Keeping up with expenses and revenue in it is very simple which makes day-to-day bookkeeping much more manageable.

Because it's so simple to use, almost anyone can get into it and that also means it can be manipulated pretty easily if controls aren't in place.

Getting into the system is quick and making changes or adjustments only takes a moment.

The program doesn't recognize the tags that have already been set up.

One of the best parts about it is how much it helps a business stay organized and keep everything in order.

Sending invoices and estimates is really simple and getting paid through it is just as convenient. One thing I'd still love to have is the ability to schedule jobs directly in the platform.

Job scheduling isn't available which is definitely a limitation. It would also be helpful if estimates could show product photos alongside the listed items.

It's incredibly simple to use and has completely changed the way accounting gets done.

The price increases every year and I'd really like to see the cost become more stable.

Trying to customize it to fit the way my business works was really frustrating and much harder than I expected.

I really value the 2-way and 3-way POS matching tools. They help me catch errors quickly when paying vendors by matching invoices with purchase orders and payables.

I use it every day and haven't run into any issues on my end while using it.

Having everything organized in one place makes a big difference and I can handle a variety of tasks without jumping between different sites.

It does slow down a little during peak times but it's not significant enough to be a deal breaker.

Using it feels pretty simple and that's a big plus for me. I can keep up with my income and expenses without much effort which makes it easier to understand where my money is actually going. Another thing I appreciate is being able to check my finances from anywhere, whether I'm at home or out and about.

Cons

it can be somewhat slow at times, especially when I'm trying to open reports. Certain features also aren't always easy to locate which gets frustrating when I need to finish something quickly. I'd also prefer more report customization options since I sometimes want to view specific details in a different format. On top of that, the price feels a bit high.

The interface is very well-organized and I was able to get the hang of it really quickly.

Having the app with me wherever I am makes it really convenient to quickly take photos of receipts while I'm out and about.

Since I manage accounts for multiple companies, it's frustrating that I have to fully log out each time just to switch from one company to another.

Right away, I appreciated being able to sign in and see all the important information on one screen without digging around to find what I needed.

Cons

There were times when getting into my account felt more complicated than it should have been. I'd click the login link and end up on a different page, then have to move through another screen just to actually sign in.

I really appreciate how many features it offers.

It does feel pretty complex at first or at least it seems that way until you get familiar with it.
