“Can get buggy”
Pros
Its very accessible. The layout is fairly simple to move through and the platform usually responds pretty fast. It also seems clear that QB keeps rolling out updates and adding new features on a regular basis.
Cons
At the same time, it has become more difficult to use over time. While the constant development and updates are positive in theory, they often end up creating a buggy experience. Some features work one day, break the next and then randomly come back a week later. I also really dislike that invoices can no longer be opened by clicking the line item directly and instead require going over to the View/Edit button on the right. I've also been waiting for more granular permissions and access controls but at this point I'm not confident that's actually coming.

“Connects with many tools”

“Simplifies my business operations”
Pros
it feels very approachable, even if you don't have a strong accounting background. Being able to log in and handle things from anywhere is incredibly helpful, especially when I need to stay on top of finances while away from my desk. The integrations with other tools and services are another big advantage since they help simplify and connect different parts of my business operations.
Cons
It can occasionally take some effort to locate the right report or filter down to the exact details I'm looking for. That said, this gets better as you spend more time with the software and learn where everything is. There's a small learning curve but it's definitely manageable and worth keeping in mind.

“charged me twice”
Pros
The interface is simple to use, the invoicing tools work well and it's a widely recognized platform.
Cons
After assuring me there was no possibility of it happening, they charged me twice for more than $8,000. They've shown no urgency in returning the money and no real remorse for the mistake.

“Quick reports on anything”
Pros
It lets me pull up a quick report on an item, it lets me see past purchase orders, sales orders, bills and invoices all in one place.
Cons
I was not able to search for items through quotes. That makes it harder to track how often a specific item has been quoted.

“Receipt tracking saves hours”
Pros
Receipt Tracker has been amazing. I can upload or email receipts and invoices straight into my account or just snap photos on my phone and it pulls the details out automatically. That alone saves me hours every month compared with manually adding up expenses. Connecting the account to my bank is also really helpful because it makes marking invoices as paid much faster. Instead of constantly checking my bank account one invoice at a time, QuickBooks Online handles a lot of that work and saves me even more time each month. The reporting tools are also very useful when I need a quick snapshot of how the business is performing over a month or across multiple months.
Cons
The site can be slow to respond when clicking around or waiting for pages to load. It also doesn't let you send invoices from your own domain which can create problems since some clients' spam filters may block them. Another annoyance is that certain tasks are only available on the website or only in the app, instead of being accessible in both places.

“Excellent for smaller businesses”
Pros
Getting started with it is simple and it works well for small to mid-sized businesses. The features are enough for simpler operations that don't need multi-division P&Ls or more complex aggregation levels.
Cons
Tags feature still isn't very user-friendly. Reporting revenue and expenses by one specific tag or a group of tags can be more complicated than it should be. On top of that, the limit on how many tags you can use is disappointing, especially since tags can be really valuable for data analysis.

Pros
Having all my transactions and accounts connected is a huge bonus because I don't have to enter everything by hand. The rule-setting feature is also something I really appreciate.

“invoicing setup stands out”
Pros
invoicing setup stands out. Creating and customizing invoices is simple and the option to automate recurring invoices and send payment reminders makes cash flow much easier to manage.
Cons

“Clean and well-structured interface”
Pros
Right away, the clean and well-structured interface makes everything feel organized and all the features work together seamlessly. Another big advantage is the responsive support team which helps resolve any issues quickly. It's also budget-friendly so the value you get for the price is definitely worthwhile.
Cons

“Costly migration mess”
Pros
Being able to send invoices to customers remotely and accept payments online does sound appealing. On the desktop version, that usually requires an extra app so having it built in is a plus. The mileage tracking feature also seems like a useful addition, if only it were accurate.
Cons
After using QuickBooks Desktop for 25 years with good results, I was pushed toward the online version and things unraveled quickly. My old file had to be converted into the new format and the conversion was handled terribly. I ended up paying a local "expert" to try to repair the damage which was an extra expense I should not have had. The chart of accounts was altered drastically and the promised time-saving features never actually showed up. The only thing that stayed consistent was having to bring in yet another expert, again at my own expense.

“Superb bank reconciliation”
Pros
It is simple to follow. The bank reconciliation tool is especially helpful because it supports optimizing the business profile. Day-to-day workflow runs well and I feel confident that documents and payslips are sent to my bank account on time and in an efficient way. The interface is user-friendly and makes the software comfortable to work with.
Cons
Customer support has been a weak point for me with this software. There is also a fairly steep learning curve and on a few occasions the support representatives were not able to help with my specific needs which was disappointing. On top of that, the software is quite expensive.
