Full business management software package

Pros

It gives me all the functionality and benefits of a full business management software package without the cost or computer storage needed for a complete installed program. Another big plus is that I can sign in from different computers with just an internet connection and all of my files are backed up there as well.

Cons

The part I don't like is knowing there's always a risk that my files could be erased or compromised.

messy workflow

Pros

Provides me a way to record deposits, connects to my bank and offers a place to coordinate accounting details with our CPA.

Cons

There are a lot of features I never use and I can't hide them in the background. On top of that, the app keeps pushing additional products even though I already pay for it which makes the advertising feel unnecessary. Even basic tasks like saving a deposit I'm actively working on and remaining on that same deposit, aren't possible. My only options are save and new or save and close. That means if I step away without saving and the session times out, I can lose the entire deposit I was entering, even if it had 20 pending line items.

Incredible support

Pros

Ability to email invoices directly

Pros

Sending invoices and handling billing has become much simpler since we started using this software. I'm also able to email invoices directly from the system which saves time.

Cons

The system can feel pretty complex and tricky at times.

Even more convenient than the desktop version

Pros

After using QuickBooks Premier from 2015 to 2019, we decided to try this again when our new company needed accounting software and it turned out to be even more convenient than the desktop version. Having it available on both our phones and laptops means we can access it anywhere which has been a big advantage for our business.

Cons

We really haven't run into any bugs. The only issue came up with one employee who uses a very old phone and the display looked messed up on his device. It seems more related to the age of the phone than to the software itself.

Ready to use features

Pros

Getting started with journal entries for new entities is very simple and each one can be handled with its own balance sheet. The platform also comes with a broad set of features that are ready to use and can be customized when needed. QuickBooks connects well with factoring accounts in North America and supports most banking APIs which adds a lot of convenience. On top of that, the pricing is very reasonable across different business sizes and use cases.

Cons

Customizing the accounting ledger can be difficult. A more detailed audit log that captures time and location would be valuable for keeping an eye on contractor activity. It would also help a lot if the GAAP/IFRS forms required for securities reporting and audits were already built in and preconfigured. Synchronization errors can happen when resource-tracking systems like inventory or fleet management tools do not have stable connectivity. Clearer guidance is also needed in project accounting to avoid creating duplicate partners in the system.

Fast performance

Pros

Flexible access

Pros

Being able to log in from anywhere is one of the best things about it. That flexibility makes it really convenient to use whenever I need it.

Can scale up as the business grows

Pros

Its great how accessible it is. It's user-friendly, works well with other tools, offers helpful automation and can scale up as the business grows.

Cons

Even though it's a strong accounting platform with plenty of benefits, it won't be the right fit for every business. Customization is somewhat limited, it depends entirely on having internet access, customer support can involve long wait times and the online service can get expensive. It's built to be user-friendly but some users may still find parts of it challenging.

Reporting tools we rely on

Pros

Reporting has been very simple and the system was quick to learn and understand. It also comes with tools that genuinely support our organization and help us stay on top of things.

Cons

A few features from Desktop version are missing in the online version. I adjusted pretty quickly but my colleague took longer to get comfortable with the change since she had been using the desktop version for years.

Feel like a real businessman using it

Pros

Using it makes me feel iconic like a real businessman. I even use it when buying all of my music awards and it gives the whole process a more professional feel.

Cons

At first, it looked a little questionable and almost scam-like but after spending some time with it, I got used to how it works.

generates accurate reports

Pros

Managing finances with it felt very simple thanks to its user-friendly layout and design. It made it simple to track income and expenses, keep everything organized and generate accurate reports without wasting time. I was especially impressed by the report customization options and the access to real-time financial data which made it much easier to stay informed and keep my business finances under control.

Cons

the subscription price can feel a little expensive for small businesses, especially when you compare it with other accounting software out there. Also, while the core features are fairly simple to use some of the more advanced tools take time to learn and use properly. Having more detailed tutorials or better training resources would make those features much easier to understand and navigate.

Pricing makes sense

Pros

Right away, the platform feels clean and well structured which makes it pleasant to use. The support team is consistently responsive and approachable whenever any issue comes up. I also appreciate how the built-in features are designed to work together, helping tasks flow without interruptions. On top of that, the pricing feels reasonable considering how well the software performs.

Cons

I really do not have any complaints. The regular weekly feature updates make a big difference and when an issue is fixed, the team usually makes sure it does not happen again.

Tidy interface and dashboard

Pros

Cost-effective option

Pros

Doesn't take long to get used to it because the interface is user-friendly and the learning curve is pretty quick. It connects well with different systems and can adapt to a variety of third-party applications which makes it practical for businesses already using other tools. The accounting reports it generates are detailed and comprehensive and the platform is also a cost-effective option overall. Another benefit is being able to access it from different devices, including phones, tablets and computers, depending on the version. It also makes spotting and fixing errors simpler and retrieving customer information is much faster and more organized.

Cons

There are still some important gaps, especially when it comes to industry-specific and business-specific features like lot tracking, eCommerce functionality and barcode scanning. Outside of accounting, the selection of essential reports feels limited. The system can also be unstable at times, with crashes and reliability issues. Another downside is the lack of direct professional support when help is needed. There are also file-size concerns and limits on the number of transactions, along with restrictions on how many users can access the system. It seems built with a fairly narrow focus on small businesses which may not suit companies with broader needs. Data backup is not always performed consistently which creates a risk of losing information. On top of that, there are no invoice design tools and because errors are so easy to identify and correct, financial records can be more vulnerable to manipulation.
