I liked the reminder feature which kept tasks from slipping through. The payroll side was fairly simple to understand and that part of the system felt reasonably user-friendly.

Cons

Outside of payroll the software felt too technical for an office administrator especially without an accounting background.

Pros

For running a business, this is the only system that really covers everything I need for tracking expenses and other financial activity. My accountant also uses it for tax work which makes things a lot more convenient. Pulling financial reports is very simple and if you go with the desktop version, the price is quite reasonable. Customer support has been solid too, they consistently respond to emails and phone calls. We use it for invoicing as well and the platform is very user-friendly. I also appreciate that there are no extra or hidden fees.

Cons

My account was hacked once and I still sometimes receive fraudulent emails from scammers pretending to be connected to it. Because of that, it can be really difficult at times to tell which accounts or messages are legitimate and which ones are fake.

Pros

The direct connection with our Jobber program makes it much more practical to use, without the constant back-and-forth between different systems.

Cons

At times reversing something or applying a credit feels more complicated than it should be. The process seems backwards.

Keeping up with expenses, invoices and reports is really simple with QuickBooks Online. It's user-friendly, saves me a lot of time and keeps everything organized in one place.

The cost can add up over time and a few features feel restricted unless you move to a higher plan. There's also a bit of a learning curve when you're first figuring out all the tools but once it clicks, it feels like the best thing ever.

Everything runs in real time and the banking and credit card updates usually come through within a few hours or by the next day.

The platform isn't very user-friendly and the banking side feels a bit quirky. It tries to learn patterns and automatically assign vendors or customers but most of the time those defaults end up being wrong.

It has been a really positive experience. It's user-friendly and simple to work with. The financial and operational reporting is powerful and we rely on it all the time. Budget building is built in nicely and it helps me keep track of different key metrics without much effort. Invoicing and collecting payments are simple and the system automatically matches payments which saves time. The support team responds quickly and is genuinely helpful. I also appreciate the range of integrations available. It's affordable and covers everything I need, plus more.

At times, AP payments get recorded as a regular payment instead of a bill payment. When that happens, I'm not able to change or apply it unless I void or delete the transaction. Also, when we receive AR payments through the platform, there's a processing fee charged.

Doesn't take much effort to set it up. It offers plenty of powerful features but you don't have to learn or understand all of them right away just to begin using it.

They recently rolled out a new view that I prefer a lot less than the previous one. On top of that, the UI/UX could use more attention since it still feels pretty old-school.

Using it day to day has been really easy. Being able to snap photos of receipts while I'm out and upload them right away is a huge help and matching those receipts to bank transactions is quick and simple. Our invoices sync automatically from Jobber which is fantastic and saves a lot of time. It's also convenient to pull up our financial records whenever needed and quickly check the P&L. On the occasions I've contacted support, the response has been fast and professional and the team has taken the time to guide me through everything step by step. After trying other options, this is still the one I'd come back to every time.

pricing in Canada feels a little high for some features. That said, that's pretty common with a lot of products here these days and in the end you do get what you pay for.

Everything feels user-friendly, well organized and efficient. Keeping up with invoicing and accounts receivable is simple so I can always see what's been paid and what's still outstanding. It includes all the features I need to stay organized and keep my business running properly.

The home page doesn't make quick links or shortcuts to frequently used pages as obvious as I'd prefer. That said, once you get used to the navigation, it stops being much of an issue.

It is amazing how much value it offers for the price. The customer support has also been very helpful whenever needed. There really is not much negative for me to mention. It is a bit complex at the start but it feels worth it once you get used to the system. I'm even planning to get certified soon.

Direct bank and credit card feeds cut down manual entry in a big way. After the rules are set up properly, transaction categorization becomes partly automated and reconciliations shift from being a tedious once-a-month chore to something you can stay on top of continuously.

Its frustrating how often the menus and layouts keep changing. Features get moved around without any warning which interrupts workflows and makes routine tasks take longer. It also adds a training headache because processes and instructions become outdated pretty quickly. Overall, that lack of consistency makes the system feel less stable than it should for accounting work.

Getting around the platform feels very simple and the whole system is user-friendly. Our payroll and tax provider handled the initial setup for us and is still a reliable source of help whenever we need it. Reaching customer support through the platform is also convenient. From time to time I notice minor bugs such as duplicate charges appearing while viewing accounts. The system does prevent me from recording both which is a plus and most of the time a quick log out and log back in takes care of it.

Customer service could be better. The people are polite and friendly but they often don't have the level of knowledge needed to answer most questions.
