Pros

What I like is that I can access the full transaction history and if something goes wrong I can reach out directly to the support team.

Cons

Occasionally I find that it isn't clear exactly what time a payment was processed after I have sent it out.

Great for smooth payments

Pros

I use Tipalti as my platform to receive payments from vendors who pay me affiliate commissions or for sales I make on several marketplaces. I have found it consistently reliable and efficient at sending timely notifications and handling automatic payments without a lot of hassle.

Cons

When I am filling out their forms, I find they can be pretty tricky to complete if you're not comfortable with English which makes the process more frustrating than it needs to be.

Easy to use and efficient

Pros

Working with Tipalti, I have noticed there's really only a small learning curve to get up to speed. The OCR recognition does a great job and automatically fills many of the fields for you. Also, their onboarding portal is smooth and easy making it very easy for outside vendors to complete registration and start using the system.

Cons

I think Tipalti is missing a number of capabilities that power users expect. For example, more advanced reporting would be invaluable since growing businesses need KPIs and clear metrics to understand volume and trends. The absence of purchase order functionality tied to receipts is particularly painful for companies with inventory because it forces a disconnected, manual workflow. I have also run into bill-processing features that are supposed to work but don't, things like editing post-approval fields on bills, including custom fields or due dates, often fail to function.

Love the expense tracking setup

Pros

What I really appreciate are the separate expense accounts, they make it so easy for me to review every property's expenses without any hassle.

Cons

I'd like it to be simpler to pull up past invoices for a client while I am viewing their current ones so I can compare them side-by-side more easily.

Simple and easy to use

Pros

For me it's very simple to use and easy to navigate, the instructions are extremely clear and uncomplicated.

Cons

I wish there were more settings for invoice reminders, I also need extra ways to display information, additional admin-level options and more email notifications since I'd like to see better communication features overall.

The perfect solution for my business

Pros

The feature I like most is how Tipalti has completely streamlined my affiliate payments. Before, managing payments manually was time-consuming and tedious. Now, I can automate everything from affiliate onboarding to selecting currencies and sending payments effortlessly.

Cons

One of the aspects I found challenging initially was its learning curve. Initially, it can be overwhelming to grasp all the features and functionalities of the platform.

Fast global payments made easy

Pros

I really appreciate how simple it is to send a payment, it gets handled and cleared fast. We hardly ever get clients complaining about payment timing. Once they enter their payment and tax information, payouts happen quickly. I am also impressed that Tipalti supports making payments globally. On top of that, I find the 1099 and 1042 year-end reporting easy and convenient. It really saves us time and reduces follow-ups for our finance team members.

Cons

Filling out the tax forms is challenging and becomes especially hard when someone doesn't speak English. Because of that, I wish the entire form had translations into other languages and clearer step-by-step instructions. It's not terrible but there's definitely room for improvement in the process.

Great boost for ap efficiency

Pros

Tipalti has made our accounts payable much more efficient. It streamlines sending bills through the approval process so routing invoices for sign-off is fast and simple.

Cons

While it does run a bit slow at times, I have seen the team listen to customer feedback and use it to make the program better.

Super easy and powerful

Pros

Its interface is clean and really easy to use and it doesn't take long to get comfortable with it. There are plenty of coding-style features that let me automate scanning invoices which makes that whole task much simpler and faster. Honestly out of the tools I have tried, this is the best program I have used.

Cons

There isn't much I dislike about it, overall, everything works fine for me and I haven't encountered any major issues.

Very efficient and economical tool

Fantastic all-in-one finance tool

Pros

Tipalti has evolved into a comprehensive financial automation solution that has genuinely transformed my business from end to end. By using its fully integrated platform, I have been able to dramatically simplify our accounts payable operations, accelerate global payments across multiple currencies, streamline procurement processes and better control employee expense reporting and reimbursement.

Cons

That said I found Tipalti's initial learning curve to be fairly steep. At first, it took me a while to get comfortable with the full set of features and capabilities the platform offers and I needed extra time to explore and understand how everything works.

Fast and reliable global payroll

Pros

Using Tipalti, I find payroll runs smoothly and dependably, getting processed quickly so that orders are carried out and the correct funds arrive in a relatively short period of time.

Cons

There are occasions when I am not fully certain about the exact hour a payment is processed after I submit and approve it, however, transfers generally clear between accounts within just a few hours which I appreciate for an international service.

Easy to use but support drags

Pros

I find the interface very user-friendly and easy to get around. Most updates we can handle internally using the sandbox and it connects with NetSuite without any fuss.

Cons

We've run into frequent glitches and sluggishness which means our end users complain a lot. For instance, on several occasions forms would freeze or drop data that had already been entered when saving or when moving to another tab which made people submit the same form repeatedly. At the start of our rollout we worked with a consultant who just couldn't deliver, almost every request we made ended up being forwarded to their engineering team for answers. That resulted in a full month delay on an implementation that had been planned for about five weeks. After we escalated the situation, a different consultant was brought in and resolved the outstanding items within a week. Support has been a similar story. unless you happen to get one of the more senior Support engineers handling your ticket, expect resolution to be slow. Another frustrating pattern has been constant changes to our Account Rep, we've had three different reps in the space of a year. In one case because we were a little late to reply to an introductory meeting invite, our contact was swapped out for a new rep we never even met which felt like poor account continuity.
