Pros
I found it really easy to link Tipalti with our ERP system, the integration was simple and worked smoothly.
Cons
That said the reporting features are lacking, I wish the system allowed me to design custom reports tailored to our specific needs.

Pros
I like how easy it is to submit batches of payments and I appreciate that the confirmations for those payments feed back into our proprietary ordering system.
Cons
This is more a wish than a complaint but I'd love to see support for additional payment currencies beyond USD and GBP.

Pros
For managing my payment operations, I have been using this software and found it extremely user-friendly. It offers broad accessibility and a variety of services making it simple to reach. Even large platforms like DistroKid rely on Tipalti for payments and in my experience the workflow is easy and hassle-free to handle.
Cons
Sometimes the payouts take a little longer than I'd like to see but otherwise I consider it a very good option for handling payment processing reliably.

“Great for affordable global payments
Pros
I have been able to send low-cost wire transfers especially compared to other payment providers, to nearly 200 different countries.
Cons
Cannot hold balances in multiple currencies like USD, EUR or GBP and on top of that the currency conversion fees are pretty high.

What I appreciate is that users can approve items both from email notifications and directly inside the app.
Cons
I have noticed when I approve via email that users can see and access historical bills for the same vendor which can be confusing. I also found there is no VAT or GST handling between Tipalti and Intacct and I cannot get attachments for credit memos to sync from Tipalti into Intacct which is frustrating for record keeping.

Pros
It keeps me on top of pending approvals and shows all the essential data points right there so I don't need to jump back into our CRM to double-check details.
Cons
Honestly nothing springs to mind, the platform has been consistently dependable over the time we've used it and I haven't encountered any downtime or network/connectivity problems.

“Easy invoice approvals
Pros
With Tipalti, approving invoices is really easy and it gives me excellent documentation that clearly shows who approved each invoice and which GL accounts were charged.
Cons
That said the implementation was challenging for our team and I think we should have received much more upfront training to get up to speed.

Tipalti is really user-friendly, it's easy for me to review and approve invoices and adding or adjusting approval workflows is simple, Plus the reporting features are handy and very easy to run.
Cons
During implementation, I ran into some challenges moving from Bill.com over to Tipalti but I anticipated that there would be hiccups when switching platforms.

“Love the simple, paperless workflow
Pros
We really love how user-friendly the interface is and how easy it is to move around the system. Tipalti lets me quickly check the status of payments and invoices without fuss. Having a single payment run that handles both international and domestic transactions cuts down on time and cost. I find it wonderful to have a fully paperless payables process!
Cons
The OCR capability is only mediocre in my experience. Our internal accounting team still conducts a careful invoice review. Over time I have seen the system become smarter. During the implementation phase, getting vendors set up in the software took more effort than I expected but we value that electronic W-9 validation now helps reduce workload for our staff.

Pros
One feature I really appreciate is Tipalti's automation, it can scan and remember invoices and automatically assign them to the correct payee and portal and I genuinely love the paperless concept.
Cons
I wish Tipalti could also transfer the attached PDF along with the invoice whenever it syncs the bill data over to NetSuite.

I like that it's safe and efficient, supports paperless processing and securely handles large payments without hassle.
Cons
What frustrates me is that while processing and approving payments involves just a few steps, the program doesn't warn you there are additional steps left to finish.

Really I am impressed with the customer success and support teams, onboarding was seamless and I love that I can build custom P2P workflows as well as a tailored vendor onboarding process.
Cons
Right now, I see the real-time budget versus actual functionality is still in its early stages but I view it as a huge opportunity. Also, virtual credit cards aren't offered at this time.

I appreciate that it automatically syncs bills and payments to QBO as soon as bills are paid so everything stays up to date without extra effort.
Cons
When I set up payees, I had to enter an alias for each payee manually, one by one, instead of being able to upload a CSV to add everyone at once which ended up being very time-consuming.

“Great value and easy setup
Pros
Tipalti is a great payment management system. Setting it up was easy even for someone like me who's not very tech-savvy. I did have a few questions while deciding whether to switch but their client support was really helpful and walked me through things with clear, patient explanations. Our clients have told us it's a major improvement compared to the old payment process and we're glad we made the move. It's much more user-friendly and, importantly, costs significantly less than the system we used before.
Cons
I'd like to see more options to customize Tipalti so it better reflects our company's branding and identity. Aside from that desire for greater personalization, I cannot ask for much more, from a functional standpoint the platform already meets or exceeds our needs.
