Clean, simple and easy to use

Pros

the product feels clean, simple and easy to navigate which really simplifies implementation. I also appreciate that I can handle the entire purchase conversation inside the app without needing other channels. The user onboarding is quick and smooth.

Cons

I would like to have greater admin controls in the system, for example, the ability to manage approval workflows, mark fields as optional and other similar administrative options.

Super intuitive and easy to use

Pros

To me, it's incredibly user-friendly and I don't feel like any special orientation or training is required before getting started, plus I find it very user-friendly.

Cons

However after I submit a request, I often struggle to edit or modify it which I found frustrating.

smooth procurement experience

Pros

Approve makes procurement incredibly easy from start to finish. It was very simple to roll out, offers a flexible and reliable approval workflow and includes precisely the features a proper process requires without the unnecessary complication common in similar tools. Most importantly, it's very user-friendly, giving users a smooth, hassle-free experience that our team appreciates.

Cons

As early adopters, we did run into the expected teething issues that come with a brand-new system. Despite that, the Approve team was incredibly supportive and quick to address any problem or concern we raised. In the end, dealing with those early hiccups was absolutely worth the outcome.

Easy approvals and cleaner inbox

Pros

Approving PRs is a breeze thanks to a friendly, speedy UI that gives me all the contextual info I need to make a decision. Ever since our team started using Approve, my inbox isn't constantly filled with purchase requests anymore which has freed up a lot of time and reduced the clutter I used to deal with.

Cons

It doesn't give me much insight into overall budget usage beyond looking at individual PRs so I cannot easily see cumulative spend.

Super simple and easy to use

Pros

As an end user I appreciate how easy everything is, I can put in a request within about two minutes and following up on requests is incredibly easy.

Cons

I haven't run into any drawbacks, right from my first interaction everything felt user-friendly and easy to grasp.

quite easy and well automated

Pros

Tipalti is very automated, easy to use and the AP module is presented clearly making transfer management easy.

Cons

For my part, I would appreciate more visual training materials, like video tutorials that walk through and explain every module.

Great fit for growing teams

Pros

As a growing company, we found Approve to be a fast, easy integration that addresses the core procurement needs we had, it's helped us formalize our purchasing workflows and gives transparent online visibility into requests, budgets and status all in a single spot. I really appreciate the product and the supportive team behind it who listen to customer needs and grasp what would improve Approve, I am excited for the upcoming features!

Cons

I am eagerly waiting for invoice integration capabilities, once those are in place, it will be an awesome addition that significantly streamlines our processes.

Easy setup and fantastic support

Pros

I found it easy to set up, very user-friendly and their support has been amazing.

Cons

Since the company is expanding, not every feature was ready on the first day yet I am pleased that we're growing together with them and adapting as new capabilities roll out.

Makes procurement so much easier

Pros

What I appreciate most about this application is how it streamlines our procurement workflows and I find the interface really user-friendly and easy to use on a day-to-day basis.

Cons

From my perspective, the main challenge isn't the software itself but rather getting other departments educated and comfortable enough to adopt the app and migrate all their data into the system. I will say though, that the way it integrates with our other organizational tools has been excellent and everything runs smoothly on that front.

Much faster and clearer approvals

Pros

As a manager overseeing several departments, I have had to constantly handle approval requests via email and Slack and I would more often than not just reply 'yes with no additional context. Approve provides a far faster, much clearer way to authorize purchases. The single biggest benefit for me is the real-time budget view because it lets me see the current status of all my budget items instantly.

Cons

I submitted approval requests through Slack and they responded that it's being worked on, I am hoping it rolls out soon because I spend the majority of my time on Slack anyway.

Fast, polished and easy to adopt

Pros

I am really impressed by the system's appearance and responsiveness. At first I was worried people wouldn't adopt it but we managed to deploy the process across the whole company successfully.

Cons

We discovered it doesn't handle invoices so we had to keep our accounts payable operations inside our ERP.

Love the time-saving features

Pros

I really like the new ACH Debit capability since it frees us from manually moving money from our bank into Tipalti which saves a significant amount of time. I also value having the option to generate distinct Payee IDs as well.

Cons

A frustrating problem I have run into is that if an approval request needs cancelling, there's no way for me to notify the approver that I have cancelled it. I'd really like the ability to add bills to a payment order even after it's been scheduled because that flexibility would help our workflow. There's also no live chat option for Support when I need help, it seems the only method to contact them is currently by email.

simplifies workflows and clear processes

Pros

What stood out for me was the clarity of their processes, an easy and user-friendly UX, workflows that adapt to our needs and a genuinely great team.

Cons

I did find the reporting interface needed some work and the approval matrix setup wasn't fully available at first though I am told that's expected to be fixed soon. Also, Netsuite integration wasn't smooth initially but the team worked hard and did everything they could to get it working.

Easy to use and flexible

Pros

The interface is polished and the system easy to navigate. It works out of the box and still offers some customization options.

Cons

That said I feel it's missing a simple online purchasing interface for end users, like a catalog and it lacks a module for managing agreements.

Pros

perfect for vendor onboarding

Pros

I find this solution fills a significant gap for many organizations because it lets vendor onboarding and qualification be handled in an automated, end-to-end way. The tool is really user-friendly to use which encourages users to engage with it and adopt it.

Cons

As a customer, I have noticed that because it's an early-stage company, changes to the solution happen frequently, I would urge the team to adopt a more predictable release cadence, for example by planning deployments on a quarterly basis.

Super easy for payables

Pros

In our company we rely on Tipalti to handle payments for thousands of people. We've found the platform very user-friendly and onboarding new vendors is easy. It simplifies our accounts payable process and boosts my accounting team's productivity. On top of that, their support team consistently replies promptly and helps quickly resolve any issues we run into.

Cons

Sometimes when a vendor ends up marked as not payable, I find it hard to figure out why. Also, there's no automated handling for 1099s which is a feature I'd like to see.

top tool for global payments

Pros

We were looking for a solution that works with QuickBooks and the self-service onboarding for new clients really appealed to us. Tipalti made handling monthly payouts to our clients extremely easy, regardless of which country they're in or what currency they invoice in.

Cons

I find the help section harder to navigate than I'd like so I frequently end up contacting support because digging through the help articles to find answers becomes exhausting and time-consuming.

Easy, reliable and user-friendly

Pros

The product is really easy to use and easy to get around. It supplies every bit of information I need and their FAQ covers almost any question I can think of. When I have needed help, their support team is fast and dependable.

Cons

We honestly don't run into problems with this software. Our team has relied on it for years now and we cannot imagine moving to another platform anytime soon.

Easy, secure and reliable

Pros

With Tipalti, I find it simple to use and transparent about pending versus paid items. I also feel secure.

Cons

I don't have many complaints about Tipalti, except that paying vendors from other countries in US dollars occasionally creates unexpected problems for us.
