“overall a reliable tool
Pros
Even though I am not particularly knowledgeable about finance, Tipalti is so user-friendly that I can use it confidently. I have also had excellent experiences with their customer support on several different occasions, every time they were truly helpful and responsive.
Cons
At this point, I don't really have anything I dislike about the software. I haven't encountered any significant negative issues so far.

“Super intuitive for global payments
Pros
I find the platform extremely friendly and easy to navigate, the onboarding helped me stay compliant and cross-border payments have been reliable.
Cons
That said the fees feel quite high and I am frustrated there's no option for making partial payments.

“Smooth billing and amazing onboarding
Pros
the self-billing and invoice tools work really well. The onboarding process and the UX/UI are terrific, too.
Cons
I wish there was an option to customize reports, having that flexibility would make the tool much more useful for my needs.

“Easy setup and smooth experience
Pros
In my experience setting up Tipalti was quick and pretty easy. It feels like a global, scalable solution and lets me centralize all payable operations in one place which has been especially useful with more people working remotely these days. The website is well laid out and packed with useful information and the support team responds quickly and has been genuinely helpful. Tipalti does what it's supposed to do and I haven't run into any issues so far. Admittedly, I haven't been using it for very long and don't have experience with other products to compare but overall I am satisfied with Tipalti so far.
Cons
So far my experience has been positive and I haven't encountered any real problems. One improvement I'd like to see is more clear information about fees on the website though I expect the support or partnership teams would provide satisfactory answers if I asked. Another small enhancement that would be nice is offering Google SSO as an authentication option.

“Super intuitive and helpful
Pros
Tipalti's platform is highly user-friendly and really easy to navigate. Managing payees and the entire payment processing workflow has removed a huge amount of manual work from my team's responsibilities. Plus their support team has been outstanding.
Cons
Occasionally I notice that the bigger reports take a while to export which can be frustrating when I am on a tight deadline.

“beginner friendly tool
Pros
From a treasury perspective, the platform is easy to use. I also really like that our payees have a range of payment methods to choose from, they can set their own payout thresholds, place payments on hold or select to receive funds via ACH, e-check, PayPal or wire transfer. Furthermore, Tipalti empowers our payees to edit and update their own banking and payment details which takes the burden of data-entry errors off us as the payer.
Cons
When we first set up the integration, we couldn't control how payouts were scheduled which was frustrating because several payees preferred weekly disbursements instead of daily ones to avoid higher wire fees. In addition, the reporting options available from the payees side made reconciliation harder than it needed to be. UPDATE. Our product team collaborated with Tipalti to resolve these items so these particular problems are actually no longer an issue today.

“incredibly helpful suuport team

Using this product, I found it incredibly simple to navigate and the integration process was a breeze the team helped enormously!. It provides a centralized, searchable vendor portal that stores all vendor information in a user-friendly layout and pairs that with an automated vendor onboarding workflow making tasks so much simpler. The solution also lets me quickly establish consistent PR and PO workflows to optimize the entire procurement lifecycle which has been immensely beneficial.
Cons
What I miss most is automatic file uploads. Right now I am required to add files manually to the system every time. Still, I have spoken with the team and they're building this feature so I am cautiously optimistic!

“Easy approvals and great visibility
Pros
I found it super easy to onboard all the different stakeholders into the platform and we no longer have approval chains stuck in Slack or buried in emails. I also appreciate the clear Actual versus Budget visibility for each stakeholder and supplier onboarding has saved our finance team hours every month.
Cons
One thing I miss is virtual credit cards and the email layout doesn't render well, images appear oversized in my Outlook which I find frustrating.

Setup was fast and adaptable, giving the customization we require as our company grows. With Approve, we're in control of the entire procurement lifecycle and can show transparent progress to every stakeholder at each stage. I especially appreciate being able to dig into all past orders, purchase orders, invoices and even vendor records

“Huge boost in efficiency
Pros
We've seen invoice processing efficiency go up by 90%. Having invoices and tax paperwork, TIN validation and banking details consolidated in a single place has made things much simpler. I also get far fewer email inquiries now.
Cons
Our rollout wasn't as smooth or seamless as I had hoped. During the first uploads we ended up with multiple duplicate vendor records and some invoices failed to upload correctly.

Pros
In my experience the platform is easy overall and gives me great tracking, clear invoice management and up-to-date payment status.
Cons
A small improvement I'd request is that once payments are sent for the two required approvals, if only one person has approved so far, I cannot see which approver it was and as a result I have to reach out to both people to find out who still needs to act.

Pros
I am impressed by how easy it is to import and organize payees in Tipalti, it makes vendor setup and upkeep so much simpler.
Cons
We often wish there was a way to search payees by their email address because right now we're occasionally dealing with duplicate entries, the system only checks duplicates against ID and email which still lets repeats slip through.

“pretty decent and efficient tool
Pros
Tipalti is really easy to use, it handles supplier payments in a clear, thorough way so I can check current status and plan upcoming payments. It also makes approving invoices for payees much smoother, cuts down a lot of admin work around storing payee bank details and tax paperwork and the actual issuing of payments is easy.
Cons
I'd like a bit more flexibility to customize payment settings and I wish I could view each payee's outstanding balance in a single consolidated screen.

I am impressed with how user-friendly it is and I like that vendors can pick their payment method, wire, PayPal or check.
Cons
What I miss is an ewallet feature, I'd want Tipalti to accumulate small payments until a payee hits their payout threshold and then disburse them.

“Super smooth invoice workflow
Pros
It streamlines creating, routing for approval and paying invoices efficiently. The support team is fantastic and the platform is extremely user-friendly to use.
Cons
For our team, a few of the screens seem to overlap, for example, unpaid bills show up both under the payee view only for that specific payee and under the bill view which shows all payees. Because of that, I end up clicking more than necessary, adding filters above the tabs to narrow what's displayed would cut down on clicks. That said this might be tied to our particular business setup so I am not raising it as a complaint.

Pros
The interface and dashboard is really easy to use, with great payout options and helpful analytics features.
Cons
One frustrating limitation for me is that I cannot add client information unless the clients confirm it themselves.
