Super easy to implement

Pros

Tipalti is very user-friendly and petty easy to roll out especially thanks to the support from their implementation team. My colleagues picked up the platform quickly and have grown to like its clean, user friendly layout.

Cons

We are still working through a few issues with inventory accounting and how our ERP connects to it. But the customer success team has been very responsive and truly willing to help!

Love it for vendor payments

Pros

I rely on this software every single day to process payments and it also handles our bookkeeping which keeps everything organized and remarkably efficient. Also the multiple layers of approvals are ideal for scaling the business and honestly it's the only way I manage vendor payments now.

Cons

this toool is strong for daily operations but complex issues may require more advanced support.

Super easy invoice approvals

Pros

The thing I like is how easy it is to go through invoices and approve them. Also the interface seems highly user friendly and simple to navigate.

Cons

This is among the simplest invoice approval platforms I have used and I cannot seem to find anything that fails to work as expected.

Huge time savings and smooth payments

Pros

When we connected it to our new royalties platform, it made updating bank details and paying royalty recipients much smoother. Setting up that platform was very difficult too and honestly the project would have failed without the Tipalti implementation team's help. The system is easy to use as I can always find past payment records without searching. We customized exports from it so they could be loaded into our older finance system which was a huge help. We cut the time to process over 700 royalty payments from months down to just hours. After that success, we also added their procurement module which made purchasing easier, reduced payment time and improved the accuracy of our purchase data.

Cons

While using the procurement system, I have found that some features are limited in how they can be set up so they are less useful than we hoped. The platform can also feel slow at times which is frustrating. Still the core features work reliably and give us what we need.

Easy to use with amazing support

Pros

Awesome support every time

Pros

I always know I can count on Tipalti's great support team when I am stuck. If a payee is not getting a password reset link, I contact support and they give my client amazing, top-notch service.

Cons

Honestly I have got nothing to say at the moment just keep up the great work!

love it for global payees

Pros

We've had a completely trouble-free run with Tipalti up to now. Their support team is excellent and quick to respond although the platform itself isn't the most user-friendly and requires a bit of time to learn but despite that, I find it an obvious choice for businesses dealing with payees globally.

Cons

UI and a few workflows still need polishing. For example it would save time if the system would automatically reschedule payments that were rejected once payees confirm updated payment details, rather than leaving that step manual.

Great for scaling payables

Pros

Using it for quite a while now and I'd say it's become a really useful tool for making our payables workflow much smoother. One thing I value a lot is its flexible REST API which lets us hook the platform into our existing systems without a lot of friction. That integration has allowed us to automate many tasks that were previously manual and honestly it's saved us both time and money. I also like the security measures it provides so now we feel comfortable that our financial information is protected when we use the system. Plus the ability to run mass payments is another big plus as it makes sending funds to a large group of suppliers fast and easy. All in all, from my perspective Tipalti is a strong option for companies trying to tighten up their payables. Between the adaptable API, the powerful security and the mass payment functionality, it brings tangible benefits to our process.

Cons

Although we are generally happy with it, we have run into one recurring issue. Such as several of our suppliers have complained that the portal can be tricky to navigate. And because some vendors struggle to find what they need or complete required steps, we have seen a few instances where payments were delayed as a result.

super vendor portal experience

Pros

Our vendors really like the supplier portal as they can track invoices and update their own contact info. Since suppliers can manage their details themselves, we have had much less email back and forth. Our approvers also like Tipalti's cleaner, faster workflow compared to the old, clunky process we used before.

Cons

We had a rough experience when the new AP Hub screen first went live as it was pretty pooer initially. Custom fields would often time out and the whole approval flow seemed to drag to a crawl. Thankfully the legacy screen remained available as a fallback option. Over time the newer screens have been significantly improved since that first rollout.

Helpful support and solid matching

Pros

I am really impressed with Tipalti's three-way matching for POs, receipts and invoices as it makes reconciliation easy. The interface is user-friendly and highly practical in daily use. Another thing I genuinely like is the in-app customer chat as it's incredibly useful and their support team has consistently been responsive and helpful.

Cons

There are a few aspects I did not like about it, similar to limitations you see in other platforms. For instance, I cannot issue a credit directly from an existing bill which complicates corrections. Also, it lacks true two-way synchronization means everything has to be entered into it manually. If someone posts a transaction straight into our ERP, it won't automatically sync over to Tipalti.

Easy approvals and smooth syncing

Pros

Our accounting and audit teams value that every invoice syncs back to our ERP system. I also like how easy it is to approve bills. Plus the AP team finds it much easier to use than wrestling with native NetSuite.

Cons

The customer success managers are great as they work hard to keep the relationship running smoothly. But like any system, there are occasional bugs but they help guide us through what can feel like a difficult support process. The biggest issue is already being worked on as they are building fixes and new features into upcoming updates so I am hopeful new customers won't run into these problems

Strong controls and compliance

Pros

Pros

Their customer support is simply outstanding as everyone on the team responds quickly and attentively.

Super intuitive and user-friendly

Pros

I really like how easy it is to navigate. Most of the time my invoices are scanned very accurately and overall I have found the entire system extremely easy to use and quite user-friendly!

Cons

Sometimes the invoices don't get scanned correctly and the system assigns the wrong payee which can be annoying but I should note that this only happens very infrequently.

Great visibility into approvals

Pros

One thing I really like is how transparent the accounts payable workflow is and how simple it is to track where a bill sits in the approval chain.

Cons

Several options in it can only be changed by the customer support team rather than by users directly.

Laggy and inaccurate coding

Pros

Tipalti software customer support is the best since they reply quickly. Processing invoices is easy too and it's simple to set up coding.

Cons

There are times when it's working slowly. I have also noticed it sometimes assigns the wrong currency compared with what's listed on the invoice and on occasion it reads entity names incorrectly.

fit my needs well

Pros

I use this platform to manage my affiliate payouts from Clickfunnels and it consistently handles paying me while clearly showing everything I have earned, balances and transaction details so I always know what to expect.

Cons

Although it works, I find it occasionally frustrating because navigating the interface and logging in can be confusing and time-consuming for me.

Getting paid is always smooth

Pros

Actually I am really grateful for how quickly they notify me that a payment is coming and precisely when I should see the money arrive in my bank account.

Cons
