FullStory Features

Session Replay captures every interaction a user makes (clicks, scrolls, taps, and page transitions), creating a full visual playback of their experience. This feature helps teams watch sessions exactly as they happened, making it easier to investigate bugs or confusing flows. There's no need for manual tagging, so issues can be explored instantly and in full context.

Dashboards provide a clear overview of real-time metrics, trends, and key performance indicators across the product. Teams can set up automatic alerts for specific user behaviors or changes in traffic patterns. These notifications support faster decision-making and help teams stay ahead of performance issues.

See How It Works

Journey Mapping visualizes the exact paths users take through a product or site, from entry to conversion—or exit. Patterns are generated automatically, showing where users are dropping off or looping back. This clarity makes it easier to optimize common paths and remove hidden friction points.

Sentiment Signals highlight moments when users express frustration, such as rage-clicking, dead clicks, or repeated failed interactions. These signals are tied directly to session data, allowing teams to trace the root of the issue quickly. By catching signs of dissatisfaction early, teams can prevent churn and improve the overall experience.

See How It Works

Funnels track each step in a conversion journey, identifying where users drop off and how much potential revenue is being lost. The analysis is automatic and quantifies each missed opportunity in clear, actionable terms. This data helps prioritize design or functionality updates that will have the biggest impact on engagement and sales.

Helps us analyze user flow easily

Pros

The feature that lets us create detailed funnels is our fav. Plus segments gives us a really close look at the problems our users face.

Cons

One thing I dislike is that the massive number of tracked events quickly eats up its quota.

Highlights user pain points fast for us

Pros

Fullstory has become a must have for our Autodesk team used by Product Managers, Designers, Analysts and Engineers alike. Also it has been especially useful for spotting customer issues during new product rollouts, letting us truly see things from our users perspective. Watching real user sessions has helped us quickly find friction points and fix them which makes the experience smoother. Plus our enablement team Jasmine and Liz has been amazing with support. I highly recommend Fullstory for anyone wanting deep insights into user behavior to improve digital experiences.

Cons

It would be awesome if it offered a Chrome plugin to see heatmaps directly on our site without jumping into the main tool. Our previous provider had this feature. Also FullStory gets too expensive when tracking all our sessions, so we limit coverage to about 30%.

Love how it works

Pros

It is pretty helpful to see exactly what customers do inside our app and when. We rely on it a lot in support to trace user actions and get to the root cause. Also I like the detailed logs for creating Jira bug tickets. The option to adjust playback speed and toggle skipping through activity is fantastic too.

Cons

I wish I could view the documents customers see within FullStory since we already log into their systems anyway. And it'd be handy to review those during session videos. Also it will makes it even better if timestamps showed time zones so we know exactly when users acted. Plus I want to adjust how far back to rewind in the videos as 7 seconds feels random and a setting from 1 to 60 seconds would be perfect.
