“Performs well”

Across our workforce, we used Cisco for shared audio calls and it generally performed quite well.
Cons
The video features, however, didn't work as well as advertised.

“Directory tools are useful”
Pros
Getting started took very little effort. The interface is simple to use, the company directory is easy to access and almost no training was needed so we were up and running right away. A big plus for us was being able to make outbound calls without exposing my personal phone number. I also appreciated the different ringtone on my cell phone since it made it obvious whether an incoming call was work related or personal.
Cons
Sometimes, calls would drop unexpectedly. Another thing I did not love is that calls appear in the call history on my personal cell phone and I would rather keep my work calls separated from my personal call log.

“hybrid work made better”
Pros
Ever since the Covid pandemic began, I've been using Cisco Jabber and it has made hybrid work much more manageable. It's very simple to use and I can give clients my Jabber number so they can still reach me while I'm working from home. If I miss a call, they're able to leave a voicemail and I can return it later. I also appreciate that it's hands free which makes multitasking a lot more convenient when I need to juggle other work.
Cons
A limitation is that I need to be connected to WiFi to make calls from my computer.

“Easy to navigate”
Pros
Having this installed feels like carrying a desk phone with me wherever I go. It's very convenient to use, easy to navigate and includes all the functionality and familiar feel of a traditional desk phone in the app.
Cons
Like any VoIP based product, the overall experience can change depending on the quality and speed of the internet connection.

“reliable calling for remote work”
Pros
At the moment, we mainly use Jabber to manage and handle calls from the computer especially when working remotely. For that purpose, it performs really well.
Cons
When working from home, there can be a bit of lag but that's fairly expected.

“My favourite communication tool”
Pros
It has become one of my favorite communication tools for several reasons. The two way audio and video feature really stands out because it makes remote conversations feel much more like meeting in person. Audio and video quality are consistently strong so calls and virtual meetings come across as clear and natural. Another big advantage is how well it works with other Cisco products. Having messaging, voice calls, video meetings and screen sharing all available in one platform is incredibly convenient and cuts down on switching between apps. I also appreciate being able to use it across multiple devices. Whether I'm on a laptop, tablet or phone, staying connected is simple. On top of that the security features give me peace of mind that my conversations and work communication stay protected. Overall, Cisco Jabber is a dependable choice for secure and efficient communication during my daily workflow.
Cons
That said, there were a few parts of this tool that took some adjustment. The interface felt a little overwhelming in the beginning and it wasn't immediately easy to understand because of the number of features packed into it. I've also seen it use a fair amount of system resources which can slow things down on older or less powerful devices. While the Cisco integrations are definitely a benefit, it feels less smooth when you rely on a wider mix of non Cisco communication tools. The security options are valuable but managing them can sometimes feel a bit complicated and may be more than some users want to deal with. Even so, these issues feel more like minor frustrations than serious problems. Once everything is set up and familiar, it delivers a strong communication experience especially for anyone already working heavily within this ecosystem.

“appreciate email voicemail feature”
Pros
This worked really well for internal office calling and messaging. Being able to share my screen during a call was especially useful when I needed to walk someone through what I was explaining. It was also a nice touch that my organization connected email voicemail with the system.
Cons
Once our organization rolled out Microsoft O365, we had to disable the messaging feature in it because it didn't integrate with O365. That created confusion for employees since people weren't sure which messaging platform they were supposed to use and the experience felt inconsistent.

“keeps everything connected”
Pros
It's really convenient not having to rely on a physical phone since I can place calls right from my computer and keep everything connected, including my phone and tablet. Screen sharing also works well for me so I can present and keep working without any trouble.
Cons
One downside is that it tends to freeze pretty often and sometimes I can hear the call but the notification never shows up.

“high quality calls from anywhere”
Pros
We use it for video meetings and VoIP to stay connected across distances and it has worked really well for us. It's available on both computers and mobile devices which makes it convenient to use from pretty much anywhere. The interface is user friendly and clear so it doesn't take much effort to understand how everything works. It has made internal communication and collaboration much better, helping us work more efficiently from any location or device while also improving how we support our customers.
Cons
That said, it still comes with quite a few limitations and the integration with some third party applications could definitely be improved.

“user friendly platform”
Pros
Compared with other apps I've used, Cisco is much simpler to handle. Even without being very tech savvy, it doesnt take long to figure out and use without much trouble.
Cons
Everything would be even better if they added more filters. Having a wider variety of notification sounds would also be a nice improvement.

“Quick setup process”
Pros
Setting everything up is quick and using it doesn't take much effort. The calling features are kept simple which I appreciate because there aren't a bunch of extra tools getting in the way or making things confusing.
Cons
One issue that comes up now and then is getting it to connect to my computer audio. Some days it works perfectly without any trouble and other days I have to log out and sign back in before it finally connects.

“glitchy experience”
Pros
There's definitely some potential here. On paper, it provides a broad set of communication and collaboration features that could be useful for businesses wanting to simplify operations and support remote work more effectively. The customer service is decent as well.
Cons
At the same time, when you actually use it the whole platform feels pretty outdated. It comes with a lot of problems, ranging from unreliable messaging and notifications to a poorly designed interface. There are also far too many glitches and crashes for something that's supposed to improve your work life balance.

“my review”
Pros
The screen sharing feature is probably the best part of Jabber for me. I use it a lot when the IT help desk is rescuing me from some tech mess I created and being able to see the steps on screen makes it much easier to follow along and get the job done.
Cons
If I had to point out one downside, it would be that this app automatically starts up every time I restart my computer. I get why it does that so it can function properly but it's still a little annoying.
