Our go-to

Pros

Teams is the only platform I use for work since my role involves virtual evaluations and consultations with other medical professionals. The biggest reason is the strong security it provides which is essential when conversations involve medical records.

Cons

So twice, people in our team faced issue with receiving a Teams meeting invite had trouble signing in. Once they downloaded the app, everything worked fine. To be fair, it may have been nerves or user error rather than an actual issue with Teams.

Great choice

Pros

A reliable video meeting tool and a dependable instant messaging platform, together in one place, really made things easy. If I rated each one separately, I'd put both around 8/10 but combined they're more like a 9.5/10.

Cons

The one thing that bothers me on the video meeting side is that Microsoft still doesn't give users control over the quality of their outgoing video feed. Zoom has offered that for quite a while. I've invested time and money into my work-from-home setup with a good 4K webcam and gigabit fiber yet I'm still stuck letting Teams decide how much compression to apply to my video and that seems to change from day to day.

quite dependable

Pros

Reliable, consistent and professional. Over the past few years, the features and overall user-friendliness have improved a lot which has made it a much more versatile tool.

Cons

There's still room to improve the overall look and feel, along with customizability and the more enjoyable side of the experience. More competitive pricing would also be a nice bonus.

dated navigation

Pros

Custom background choices look clean, the free version gives a decent set of features, sending and integration work well with enterprise clients and chats from earlier meetings are saved.

Cons

Using it can feel overly complicated especially when it comes to navigation and signing in. If collaboration across the Microsoft Office suite worked with less clunkiness, it would be much better.

solid feature

Pros

Every week, we rely on Teams for our calls and it does a really good job of bringing everyone together. It also works well when we need to set things up for multiple presentations during the same meeting.

Cons

A bit frustrating to use it on my phone since I usually need to switch to the desktop version to log in properly. Also, the meeting links don't always work the way they should.

often has shaky calls

Pros

Working with people across different companies, project teams and cross-functional departments is simple and it makes sharing communication, information, data and workpapers simple to put in place.

Cons

Headphone connections and video performance tend to be problematic quite often. Teams also seems to go down more frequently than I would expect from a Microsoft product.

reliable!

Pros

When you're already using Outlook, Microsoft email and the rest of the Microsoft ecosystem, Teams fits in really well. It covers everything in one place, chat, video meetings, file sharing and integrations, and having it backed by Microsoft adds a reassuring layer of security.

Cons

One downside is that Teams can use a lot of system resources and it performs best with a strong internet connection. Also, you need a Microsoft 365 subscription to unlock all of its features.

better team communication

Pros

The communication side of this tool has been really helpful for us especially having both chats and channels available. It's made collaboration feel more connected and has had a positive impact on our team dynamic.

Cons

Something that still happens sometimes is missing a mention particularly when it's posted in a channel. I'd love it if unread channels moved to the top the way unread chats already do.

clear communication

Pros

Microsoft Teams has been one of the best platforms I've used for team meetings. Communication stays clear, the video quality is good and the whole system is simple to use.

Cons

A small issue is that calls can sometimes disconnect although it doesn't happen often. Occasionally, the video also buffers but only once in a while.

user-friendly

Pros

It's been a really user-friendly platform for our team and it works especially well for collaboration. The integration with our phone system and CRM is a big plus and overall it has been a very useful communication tool.

Cons

For me a limitation is that it doesn't let you share two screens at the same time. It only supports sharing one screen and in our Wells Fargo department we work with two monitors so that can be inconvenient.

Call quality is good

Pros

Gives me room to manage both my personal life and business matters in one place through messages, chats and video calls.

Cons

The app can feel a bit slow or limited at times but it usually reloads quickly and gets back to working well.

Great overall!

Pros

Switching over from another communication tool takes a little adjustment but once you get familiar with it, it handles the core parts of team messaging and collaboration well and is simple to work with.

Cons

One thing that gets frustrating is the lack of threads to keep conversations grouped together. It works well for instant messaging and you can send replies but it feels more like Discord than Slack. Because of that, communication can get pretty noisy especially when teammates are talking across different pages.

best-in-class meeting platform

Pros

Right from the start, Teams has felt polished and fits perfectly alongside other Microsoft products. It has really become the front-runner in meeting technology especially after overtaking Zoom since the pandemic. The support team also deserves a lot of credit, they're extremely knowledgeable and don't just give fixes but also provide helpful suggestions and clear, thorough explanations. When we ran into setup problems, they called us straight away from the US and walked us through everything step by step, covering both how to solve it and why it was happening. They also reassured us that the platform could be customized to suit our specific setup.

Cons

A downside lately is that Microsoft has removed Teams from some of the lower-priced standard 365 plans and now sells it as a separate subscription. Although those packages have been reduced slightly in price, it still ends up costing more to put both in place.

Loved it

Pros

Having team communication and collaboration together in a single place is really helpful. It works well with Microsoft tools too and that combination has been good for improving productivity.

Cons

Getting started can be a bit challenging at first. There are a lot of features and that can feel overwhelming especially since some similar tools are more simple to use.

made us more productive

Pros

Whether the team is in the office or out in the field, this product does an amazing job of keeping everyone connected virtually with dependable performance. The video, audio, on/off controls and background features help create a very professional environment during meetings.

Cons

Honestly I do not have any real complaints about Microsoft Teams. It does everything it is supposed to do and even more. The only problem that comes up is field connectivity but that is related to Wi-Fi access and cellular service rather than the product itself.

desktop works well overall

Pros

My experience was good, it works smoothly and actually made us more productive!

Cons

Something that bothers me is how much it depends on having an internet connection. The ads are also pretty annoying and show up too often and the mobile app doesn't perform as well as the desktop version.

corporate standard for meetings

Pros

Across the corporate world, this has become the go-to platform. I used Teams for all of my job interviews and we also rely on it whenever we need to arrange meetings with clients and other professionals.

Cons

At first, Teams felt a bit confusing to navigate, similar to Microsoft Outlook. Compared with platforms like Zoom, it took me more time to get comfortable with it.

calendar tools keep me organized

Pros

Teams calendar feature is the part I appreciate most. The layout helps me stay organized, keep up with everything and makes scheduling meetings for larger groups much more manageable.

Cons

The frustrating part is updating a meeting after the first invite has already gone out. Teams sends the entire invitation again which means everyone has to re-accept it and that can be pretty confusing. I really wish updates could appear on the existing invite in a better way.

all-in-one!!

Pros

Everything connects really well with Microsoft 365 and the platform is simple to get the hang of. Team communication stays organized with channels and threaded conversations, while chats, video meetings and file sharing all being in one place makes collaboration much more convenient.

Cons

It can start to feel cluttered or a bit overwhelming especially when you're part of a lot of teams and channels. The search feature also isn't the most adaptive to use.

quick meeting links that deliver

Pros

One thing that really works well with it is how simple it is to use. Creating meeting links takes almost no time and it's especially nice that I can send them to both Microsoft users and people who don't use Microsoft at all.

Cons

in my experience so far, it's frustrating that there isn't a good way to attach documents, presentations and other files directly to specific meetings. I really wish there were a better option to keep all of that information together in one place.
